Welcome to RnR Twisted Branch, your cozy retreat in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mnts! Nestled at 3,400 ft, amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of hills, meadows, and forests, this charming cabin offers a rustic decor exuding an ambiance of warmth & comfort inviting you to unwind and relax. The property is on 1 acre of open land, is lined with native flora & has its own babbling brook--sit on the deck to enjoy your first cup of coffee/tea of the day, or your glass of wine/spirits atnight

**The space:

At RnR Twisted Branch Cabin, we have renovated a historical farmhand's house into a family, couple, or remote-worker friendly mountain getaway.

Super easy to find without crazy driveways or hills to negotiate (which waste you time and make driving under poor weather conditions iffy), this cabin is complete with three queen beds, all kitchen necessities, and FAST satellite internet.

For those visitors where connectivity is a must, we have installed top-of-the-line satellite internet.

We have also built a collapsible desk in one of the bedrooms, complete with a 27 computer monitor mounted on the wall, supported by a swiveling gas strut (nice and smooth..) + HDMI connection.

It's the perfect location to use as base camp for your outings, or to kick back in any of our multiple decks and take in the views.

Helene at the end of September, 2024 was catastrophic to the area. We are extremely fortunate to have had minor damages to the property--noticeable to our dear guests will be the eroded creek banks. We are fully operational since November 1st 2024, and fully decorated with lights, Xmas tree and wreaths to help you bring in the holidays. PLEASE DO COME AND SUPPORT THE LOCAL ECONOMY!

**Guest access:

Property has 1 acre of open lawn perfect for kids to run and play.

Two decks; one for grilling right outside the kitchen, and another for dining al fresco, or for sipping your favorite beverage, or enjoying a nice cigar, under warm party lights and a large and native red cedar tree.

**Neighborhood highlights

Cabin sits right off a quiet country road that is nicely paved, with zero steep driveways to climb or scary bridges to negotiate. Go on, bring your convertible, motorcycle, or road bike, you won't need any 4x4 or high clearance to access!

It is next to large unoccupied tracts of land (hills, woods, and meadows). Did we mention that the property is lined on one end by a perennial babbling creek to sooth your spirits

Better yet, you will be situated within one mile of a main connecting highway (Hwy 221) so you can quickly come to and from the many sightseeing and entertainment opportunities this area has to offer

**Getting around

RnR Twisted Branch Cabin is in a wonderful and peaceful location!

We are conveniently located in the middle of the best the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer! If you're looking for adventure and hiking we are:

-8 minutes from Lineville Falls Hiking trails, Linville Caverns, and two Blue Ridge Parkway accesses.
-20 minutes from the Alpine Luge Coaster
-20 minutes from skiing at Sugar Mountain
-25 minutes from Grandfather Mountains Skywalk, as well as McRae Meadows, where the annual Highland Games are hosted!
-35 minutes from skiing at Beech Mountain

But, if tasting delicious local wines is more your speed, we are only 5 minutes from Lineville Winery and 30 minutes from Banner Elk Winery. There really is something for everyone near the cabin!

There are also ample fishing opportunities for both novice and experienced anglers, as close as 1 mile from the cabin, on the Linville River!

Go ahead and explore as much or as little as you want, either way, there's a gas-log stove waiting for you in the living room at the end of whatever you choose to do during the day to sit in front of, kick your feet up, and (continue to) relax.

Lastly, remember, our driveway is super easy access and right off a country road; any vehicle can drive right up to the cabin.

My mother and I stayed here while visiting for my grandson’s wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The cabin exceeded our expectations—wonderfully clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed and more. We loved relaxing on the deck in the afternoons, especially while enjoying wine from the charming local winery just up the road. The host was incredibly responsive and even checked in upon our arrival, which we truly appreciated. If we find ourselves back in the area, this will definitely be our first choice for accommodations!

We arrived 30 minutes early, so we had a chance to look around outside. The house is very close to the road. The driveway is steep and has a hairpin turn at the bottom to get to the straight part of the driveway. The pictures on this vrbo listing do not show the driveway accurately. The pictures show just a straight wide driveway leading to the front of the house, not the case. There was a huge nest on the front of the house. Not sure what kind of nest it was. Definitely not a bird nest. The grill was on the front porch and it was not clean. We walked thru the grass to the back deck and the grass was long and needed to be cut. The back deck was not clean. We walked back to the front of the house and decided to leave. We didn’t even go inside the house. We have rented many homes on vrbo in many different places. This is the first time we left and didn’t stay at the place we rented. I don’t like writing bad reviews. Hopefully the owners change the pictures to show the real driveway situation. They also need to check the outside of the home before each new renter arrives. First impressions are everything in the rental business.

This was the coziest and most well put together cabin that we have ever stayed at! Hayley really has created, and put together a relaxing and stress-free cabin to unwind in. From cozying up on the couch by the fireplace, or having a campfire by the creek, you can’t go wrong with staying here!

The cabin was very quiet at night and quite comfortable. Bedrooms were small but adequate. Enjoyed sitting out on the deck eating and hearing the creek. Nice size living room and kitchen. Very close to lots of attractions and small towns.

The house is adorable! (just as pictured) It is equipped with everything you need. I felt spoiled with lush bedding and towels. The setting is quaint and peaceful and close to Linville Falls winery, a plus for us. Hayley is an attentive and wonderful host. I definitely recommend staying here!

This was probably the cleanest, most well-decorated, and coziest rental we have ever visited! The owners have literally thought of everything to make your stay as easy and convenient as possible - condiments in the fridge, tissues by the beds, toiletries in the bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, etc etc. It is a great location - close enough to banner elk, blowing rock and Boone, while being low enough down the mountain where you don’t need to worry as much about 4WD or treacherous road conditions. Oh, and the beds are COMFORTABLE, something you (in my experience) rarely get from rental properties. My husband and I both commented that we got just as good of a night of sleep as we do at home and how shocked we were by it! It was so cold and windy that we didn’t get to explore the property much, but there is so much space for kids to be outside. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we know where we will be staying - hopefully it’ll be warmer so we can experience all the property offers!

Hello Hayley: Your property was exactly what we were looking for to enjoy natures bounty in Fall, and disconnect from a fast pace. Wow! Your property is not only appointed with everything a guest may need, but sits on a beautifully landscaped acre with 2 fire pits and a babbling creek. Hats off to you and your husband for a gorgeous interior and a true home. Your location sits next to some of the most beautiful places such as Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls. Most Sincerely Donna R.

My daughter who is 37 pretty much summed it up when she walked in the door. Well Mom, you know I've always been a beach person...not a mountain lover but this place right here....I would move here and live in a heartbeat if I could. And that pretty much sums our visit up. The only negative part...we were not able to stay longer. The owners spared no expense with the amenities and this little piece of heaven was absolutely spotless. There was so much thought put into every little detail and left no doubt in my mind that the owners wanted their visitors to have the best. I was impressed before I even arrived. The communications I had with the owner were all answered within an hour and she was just so gracious. If I could rate this experience higher than a 5 star, I most definitely would.
