Stayed Dec 30, 2025We had the most wonderful time at the cub house cabin & was perfect for New Year’s Eve. Internet worked great and even had a tv where we were able to stream the ball drop. The location was perfect to snow tubing, skiing, & the communication from the host was quick. Perfect relaxing vacation. All questions answered immediately. We were very comfortable the beds were hard but actually really comfortable and all 5 of us slept very well. We also brought our dog and she loved being on the mountain though we had to keep her on a leash as the cabin is not fenced in. The cabin was very clean but you do need to bring things from home which was communicated — only given 2 dishwasher pods, 2 garbage bags, and only one washcloth per bathroom. The washer dryer was great tho and we brought our own crockpot — also Walmart delivery was able to deliver groceries so that was a breeze! You def need 4wd in the winter, tons of blankets were provided and fireplace was easy to use. Realistically suited for 4 people and under the pull out couch really only fits a child. Overall we would rebook & loved our stay. Communication was great make sure to ready your emails before your stay we missed all the great details the host sent.

Stayed Nov 24, 2023We had a great time staying at the Cub House. We'd definitely stay again. Hot tub was excellent and location, secluded but still a very close drive to Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, etc. The only recommendation I'd make would be a more through cleaning after anyone with pets has stayed to remove dog hair on couch/furniture.

Stayed Jun 14, 2023Weekday getaway for some hiking up Grandfather Trail. Cabin was very nice, fire pit, grill and inside jacuzzi were fantastic! Highly recommended if you enjoy being away from it all!

Stayed Mar 9, 2023Beautiful area, cabin could use some curtains, more comfortable furniture, better quality bedroom doors, and needs a proper scrub down but this company from what I understand has only recently acquired it so I’m sure they will fix it up. All questions were answered quickly and other than the minor uncomfortableness of the furniture and not enough of it we had a great stay.
