Sedalia, Colorado
Unique little cabin home nestled in the Pike National Forest just Southwest of Denver.
Primarily designed for two people (Only 1 queen bed), additional sofa sleeper. Both the bed and sofa are located adjacent to each other in an open loft.
Located just seven miles west of Sedalia on Highway 67 and only minutes from Castle Rock, this quaint get-away is close to many of Colorado's finest attractions. Superb fishing in the Platte River, excellent hiking and mountain bike trails, combined with accessibility to Denver's nightlife make this a wonderful romantic hide-away.
Only 45 minutes from Colorado Springs, attractions such as the Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak are top on your list of things to see.
Due to the high deck levels and the occasional visits from our furry forest neighbors (deer, elk, fox, coyote, bear) Cabin in the Pike is not appropriate for young guests. We have a strict age limit of 14 or older. Please inquire if you have any questions.

Excellent cabin with everything provided that you might need. Location is central to many great activities as well as restaurants and still remains remote enough to feel disconnected. Customer Service is far and away better than what was expected and what you receive in most instances today.
Great property and owner. Flood
Perfect location
Coming from the flatlands of Illinois this cozy cabin was everything we had hoped for. A Hiking trail just outside the door, sightings of mule deer and turkeys, afternoon thunderstorms and cool mountain air. We had a lovely stay and look forward to visiting again!
Our thanks to Tom and Deb for a lovely weekend. We enjoyed watching deer and turkey from the deck. Would recommend to all who enjoy country life!
Very nice place !!! Also nice owners. Extremely helpful and very friendly. Would def recommend
We had a relaxing stay at the cabin in the Pike thanks to our wonderful host. It’s a quaint cabin tucked in the woods surrounded by nature. Really a picture perfect setting. It’s clean and well stocked which is so appropriated. There is plenty to explore in the area. Colorado is a beautiful place. But with hiking, swimming, and daily visits from a family of deer and other woodland creatures right on the property we spent most of our time at the cabin. It was perfect.
Great place!
Loved this property, and we stay in alot of vacation properties. This cabin is located in a very private and serene location yet close enough to get quickly into the little town of Sedalia and Castle Rock which has all of the shopping and restaurants you might want. There is great hiking right at the property and more really good trails another 3 miles up the road. Tom was terrific to work with and we had full use of multiple porches and even a cute swimming pool. The only thing to be aware of is several stairs to walk up to get into the front door so may not be a good fit for folks who have climbing issues. We will definitely be back in the future!
The best place I have stayed in Colorado! The cabin was perfect, very close to the Rampart Range riding area, with hiking trails right outside the front door. Hope to bring the family back to stay here, thanks Tom and Deb!
Cabin at the Pike is a unique vacation opportunity. Watching wild turkeys, mule deer, squirrels and birds from the comfort of the large deck is fabulous. We relaxed with our coffee in the morning, did our off site touring and then returned to utilize the large grill and spend our evenings on the deck. It's that relaxing and good. The cabin itself is also very comfortable and well appointed. Comfortable bed, thick soft towels, quality appliances all combine to make this a wonderful property. The property owners were easy and delightful to interact with. We highly recommend the Cabin at the Pike.
Wonderful place! Hope to stay again!!
Check in was smooth and easy. Property owner checked in to make sure everything was in order. Would def recommend property to others
This was a little weekend getaway and it was fantastic. A wonderful cabin with a beautiful deck that is well maintained and cared for, with a responsive host. It's only 45 minutes from downtown Denver (or 15 minutes from Castle Rock), but feels like another world. Some of the best hikes in the state are just a short drive away. We had a great time. A couple of notes: Even though this is right on the front range and 15 minutes from Castle Rock, you are in the mountains; the internet is not fast enough or reliable enough for video calls/remote work. This can either be a feature/draw, or a problem. Bring movies, or download them to your devices ahead of time, for example, or plan to spend a low-tech weekend. Also, note that the beautiful cabin lets in a TON of natural light. You will not sleep in late here. Again, may be a feature for some (we got going right away in the mornings), but something to take note of.
Perfect cabin for 2. Very clean and cozy. Owner, Tom, was great and very helpful suggesting activities in the area. Hiking to Devils Head was fabulous. Also golf at Arrowhead did not disappoint. Will definitely return.
The property and the owners are top notch! The pictures online caught my attention as the kind of place I was looking for, but for it to be better than the pictures was a welcomed surprise. The Cabin was VERY clean and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The trees around the deck made it feel like you were part of nature. I’ll be bringing my wife back for sure! John Griffin
This cabin was even more amazing than we thought it would be. The hosts obviously put so much thought and effort into making the stay comfortable - there wasn't anything we were lacking, right down to bear bells and spray for our hikes. The cabin is nestled in the pine forest right on the edge of the Pike National Forest. You can walk out the door and straight into the woods. There's lots of private land, and you can hike right into the National Forest. It's convenient to Denver and Colorado Springs - we went Pike's Peak and the Denver Botanic Gardens. The rest of our stay, we lounged outside on the deck, swam in the pool, cooked, grilled, hiked, and slept well in the comfortable bed. It always seems hit or miss with private rentals, but this one is definitely a hit!
