Our little cabin is perfect for one or two guests for short stays while visiting local family, touring the areas wineries or nature trails, or for a clean, quiet over night stop while traveling long distances. Explore the Shawangunk Wine Trail, hike Minnewaska, sip cider at Angry Orchard, visit The Walkway Over the Hudson, or sample and shop the areas diverse farm stands and breweries. There is so much to see and do in the Hudson Valley and our cabin is close to it all!
The space
Our cabin is your own private, quiet space. They offer a warm, cozy, safe space to rest your head and mind. We have a mini fridge in the cabin with some bottled water, cold and ready for you. We have a microwave, hair dryer and iron for your convenience. We also have a Keurig and provide some coffee pods, tea, creamers, sugar and mugs to make a warm cup of coffee in the morning or tea in the evening. There are plates, silverware, wine glasses and a wine opener, and drinking glasses for 2 people.

** Special note for winter stays… our cabins are close to 100 years old. They have tile floors, and they can be drafty at times. We have a good heating system, but the temperatures in the area have been extremely cold lately. If you’d like to stay in this cabin, please bring slippers and warmer clothes so that you will be comfortable in our space if the temperature outside is extremely cold.**

Please note, we do have 4 listings, cabin 1, cabin 2, cabin 3 and cabin 4, so if you are traveling with a family or larger party, be sure to check out availability in all cabins!
Guest access
There are other homes on the property, as well as neighbors, so we ask that are guests be respectful of them. Peace and quiet is of utmost importance, and only the furniture and grill right next to the cabin are for guest use. Please note: the grill is shared between cabins, as well as the picnic table. Anything outside of that space is not included in the rental, and should not be used.
Other things to note
Please note that our cabins are set back off of a main road that runs through the Hudson Valley. At certain times traffic noise can be heard in the yard. It is not intrusive by any means, but it may be noticeable depending on the time of day. We are set back off the road and are surrounded by trees, but we are not a cabin in the woods. Please note that our rental rates include NYS sales tax of 8.125%. Thank you.

I immediately loved the idea of this little cabin all to ourselves. It was a great place for my little dog who is very reactive to other dogs. I was disappointed for a few reasons: 1) the dead bolt on the door did not work; 2) the sink drained VERY slowly; 3) I could not get the Keurig coffee maker to work at all. I'm sure all these issues could be fixed.

Julie was great. The “mini” house was clean and efficient.

The cabin was great. We drove to Beacon (15min) and spent a day. We plan to return in the Spring/Summer.

The description of the property was accurate; however, a few things surprised me that would have affected my decision to book or not. First, the house is located beside a busy road where traffic is moving all hours of the day and night at 35-55 mph. For some, this isn't a big deal. For others, it's not as quiet as described. Thankfully, I was delighted to see the room provided a noise machine. Secondly, there is no fan. Only the A/C and heater provided any air movement if you didn't want the windows opened. Thirdly, the hot water does take a little time to warm up. Patience is needed, but it does arrive. Lastly, a few items didn't meet my expectations. The provided towels were not absorbent at all. Bring your own towels if you want to actually dry off from the shower. The mattress is broken down and needs to be replaced. If you drink tea, the Keurig needs to be cleaned first or you'll taste the coffee. Bring your own toilet paper. The provided one is single ply and good only for camping emergencies... then again, leaves are thicker. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, provided toilettes for the shower, and the 2 bottles of water in the refrigerator. This went beyond the room to sleep and a bathroom description. Now that I know what to expect, I may stay here again albeit with additional supplies.

Great place to stay for a Beacon/Newburgh trip if you have a car, or like me, don’t mind hilly bike ride to and from. Cozy and affordable.

A bright and surprisingly well furnished space considering its tiny house appearance (refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, snacks). The bathroom looks newly renovated, is stylish and spacious. The location is quiet and private, as well as very convenient to Rte 9W. When there were communication glitches, Julie was very responsive. One note of caution: if you don't care for lilac/purple paint on the walls, you might want to choose one of her other cabins; I wouldn't paint my own walls that shade, but it didn't detract from the experience.

This place is wonderfully done. You feel like your in the middle the woods because its just so peaceful. The only recommendation is to upgrade the mattress, otherwise it was a wonderful stay.

Needed an inexpensive option for an overnight stay near Heritage Financial Park near Fishkill, NY. This place was ideal location- easy access off the highway & within 15 min of the Ball Park. Clean & cute as could be. Very private. Highly recommend.
