With spectacular views of three mountain ranges in the Shields River Valley, the cabin is a perfect place to get away from it all. Perfect for a writer's retreat, family getaway, or use as a home base to explore Montana. It's about a 20 mile drive to local skiing at Bridger Bowl, and only two miles to the small town of Clyde Park which has a country market, 2 bars, post office, hardware store, and gas station. Close to excellent fishing in the Shields or Yellowstone Rivers, and about an hourdrive to Yellowstone National Park. The larger town of Livingston which has many art galleries, entertainment, fine dining, and everything else you might need is 18 miles away. We are also about an hour drive to the closest airport and 2 hours to Billings.

Conveniently located off Hwy 89 on the route between Yellowstone and Glacier Parks, the cabin is in the heart of ranch country on a gravel road, perfect for those morning walks. At night you might hear owls hooting, elk bugling and coyotes yapping, while you look up at the star filled sky!

The cabin is quaintly decorated with country charm throughout. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a full size bed. In the living area there is a full size fouldout futon and a lazyboy chair. We can also accommodate with a Graco Pack and Play for baby. We can provide 2 mountain bikes for riding the local roads if you are interested, just let us know!

There are only 2 neighbors nearby, which is ourselves and one other house.

We skied at Showdown, MT on Saturday and stayed at the little cabin in the evening. We needed a place near Bridger Bowl Ski area and this cabin was only 30 minutes from the resort. The cabin was easy to find using roads that are maintained during the winter. It was clean, comfortable, and everything was in working order. The owners were very quick to respond to any and all questions. They also offered information that made our stay in the area a good experience.I would stay at this property again.

We absolutely loved staying here for Christmas and New Years. Linda was an absolute sweetheart, even bringing over cookies she had made! We saw snow, plenty of wildlife, and loved bonding with and feeding her horses. We can’t wait to stay again soon!

This is a fabulous place to stay. You are surrounded by three different mountain ranges so the view is spectacular. The host - there are not enough words to express how great she is. Gave us great routes to take and local things to do and see. I would most definitely stay here again!!! Will recommend to others.

We wanted to escape the craziness and loud fireworks with our dog and this was the answer! We've had some not-so-good experiences in the past at places where the owners said they have NO fireworks in the area but ended up like a war zone on the 4th! Linda was very honest and said that some neighbors might set off some fireworks, and there were a minimum of BOOMS, but then the night was quiet. Ahhhhh, peace at last! Aside from that, the place was one of the cleanest we've been in and so cozy and comfortable!! Our pooch settled right in and literally acted depressed when we had to leave. The area is simply beautiful - we live about 40 minutes away but felt like we were in a different world! Ric and Linda were wondeful hosts, not intrusive at all but there if you needed them. One thing we really loved was the TV with cable/satellite channels! None of that Smart TV stuff where we can't get our news and local channels! Loved their horses and all the birds in the area. I am booking next year's reservation right away, because if you're looking for an absolutely peaceful and beautiful place to go, this is the place! Thanks to both of them for sharing their sweet Cabin in the Country!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the quiet country literally surrounded by mountains! We were very comfortable in the well-appointed and super clean cabin. We slept well and ate well. We appreciated that we were away from the big centres. Clyde Park has the cutest grocery store! We walked each morning and each evening with our binoculars to enjoy deer, antelope and sandhill cranes! Linda was great at communicating and providing suggestions on things to do. We were sad to leave after 5 amazing nights.

I loved this place! From the outside it looks a standard prefab metal building, but it’s NOT! The host obviously has put a ton of work on this place, once inside you can see the incredible work they’ve done— adding the walls to divide the space makes it just lovely! It’s also really well stocked both in the kitchen and in any other way! I felt welcomed and warmed by this space— it’s just beautiful!!!

Ms. Linda was an exceptional host. She included all the amenities anyone could need, and then some. We were 2 miles from Clyde Park and an hour drive from Yellowstone National Park. Clyde park residents were as kind as could be. We shopped for extra groceries which we believed to be reasonable and even shopped at a local antique store. The views from the cabin were spectacular; the stars were plentiful; and the bugling was sweet! All was quaint as well as quiet. My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend this lovely little cabin in the country! Thank you, Ms. Linda! Mark & Kim (Cheyenne, WY)
