Cabin get away, fishing, kayaking, biking, vacationing, reunions, pet friendly

We were in town to visit family, and this was the perfect spot to rest after each day's activities. Plenty of space for all of us without feeling like we were on top of each other (like we would be in a hotel room!)It was quiet and relaxing, and the other guests were friendly as well.

We stayed for 3 nights. The cabin was great. Clean and equipped with many beds. Air conditioning kept cabin cool. Nice area outside with a charcoal grill and table for cooking out. There is also a fish cleaning house to share with other cabins. Had many questions for host before trip, and he responded to every one of them. Caught many large blue gill on trip.The staff so nice and made sure we had everything we needed.Definitely would love to come back!!!

Location was great and the property was nice. Loved waking up to the sand cranes and geese. Love that you could sit outside and enjoy the evening. Close to a boat ramp which was wonderful for us. We were attending the Elite Tournament in La cross and it was only 20 minutes away. If we ever get back there I would stay here.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Couple things that would have helped — 1) the bedroom doors didn’t shut. This is crucial when traveling with pets to make sure they don’t sneak out. 2) spider webs were bad on the outside and in windows. 3) the bathroom ceiling appeared to be falling in but didn’t see any water damage. 4) unlevel sidewalks and long extension cords for boats made tripping hazardsWe appreciated that cabin #2 had updated AC. We kept a very comfortable temperature. The appliances were nice. We were able to make majority of our meals instead of eating out. Some provided soap but not much if you are staying more than 3 days. No laundry on-site.

Cozy

The cabin is in a quiet location. The cabins are older, but clean and comfortable. There is a lot of furniture and makes it hard to move around the cabin comfortably. The outside fire pit was not usable, full of water(it had rained a lot), outside grill was not ready to use. The bathroom is very small, the shower is not for someone over 5 ft. If you are going and not planning on spending a lot of time in the cabin it is great for sleeping and fixing meals for a couple of people. There is a good restaurant close Red Pines, I recommend. There were 2 tornado warnings during my stay and I did not see a shelter or received communication from the host as to where this might be located.

Cozy Cabins was a great location, value, and accepts pets making it a perfect place for us to stay while visiting our son. We will use them on our next trip north.

Didn’t want to leave, so we booked one more night!This was the perfect getaway spot. Secluded, (yet still close to everything) peaceful, and beautifully kept. We felt right at home the moment we walked in. Everything was cozy, clean, and exactly what we needed to unwind.

The cabin totally suited our needs for the week. It was clean and well supplied with the necessities. Close to boat launches and town, but enjoyed the space around the cabins. Two recommendations: there should be a shade or curtain you can close on the back door - I didn’t care to walk past it and anyone can look in. And the door going I to the living room sticks badly, you cant close it. Other than that, next time we visit family, we’ll stay again!

Had a great weekend trip visiting family!

It was clean. Well equipped. Smelled very musty. I felt the site was misrepresented by pictures taken of water access made us think pictures were taken at the site of the booking. Very hard to find even with gps.

Older cabins in pretty good shape. Great service and people.

We had a few minor issues that the staff fixed right away but a great location on the river with a great cabin to stay in definitely a great place for a sportsman

Nice little cottage.

Very cozy looking cottages. Clean. The lake was within one block and easy to walk to. There was an area right behind the cottages with access to the lake, however it was covered in green algae. If I had one complaint it was the poor condition of the fire pit, we didn't dare use it as it looked like it would fall apart with any movement. The grill worked but again should or could be updated. However overall an enjoyable stay and will worth the money.

The cabins are so cute and perfect for a cozy little family getaway. There is a boat rental/launch just 5 minutes away for some great fishing and an aquatic center only 10 minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

Perfect spot to get away and yet be close enough to enjoy all LaCross has to offer.

Cozy is more rustic than expected. Generally clean and comfortable for lounging, but cooking was difficult with no counter space. The patio was nice but the furniture was dirty and the grill contained someone else’s greasy used coals. It was inexpensive, which was great, but as a woman, I’d up the rent a bit and do a few repairs and updates. Fix the drain in the bathroom or replace the very soiled recliner? Thanks for the quick response with our issue with the tv though, that was great! The water access was a very shallow, buggy and a bit smelly for city-folk like us! So we didn’t kayak as we hoped. I just kept thinking, this isn’t for me, but it is perfect for guys who need a cheap stay for a fishing trip!
