It was further away from the lake, but still close enough to enjoy an evening walk down to the lake to watch the sunset or grab a snowcone from the snowcone truck.Our pros: felt quiet and private, air conditioning worked well, nice open floor plan, outdoor grilling station, pool, and kids play area were awesome in the backyard. The oversized picnic table in the front breezeway was a favorite spot to gather. The resort is a treasure and all the amenities by the office are a treat!Our Cons: MUST GET NEW MATTRESSES. They are all hard as rocks. Very limited supply of kitchen cookware. Bathrooms needed a deep clean, new shower curtains, and new towels. Top bunks on bunk beds needed railings, and same with railings needed on the main staircase, it was a safety concern.Overall, we loved the rustic charm of Cabin Fever and would stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: We recently rented both Cabin Fever and Belle Oaks for a girls retreat weekend, with Cabin Fever as the main house where we cooked all meals, swam, etc. This is our second year renting Cabin Fever and we've had great experiences each time. The house is well-equipped, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and it sleeps a ton of girls. We will continue to return to Log Country Cove. This was our first year going down to the Commons Area at the lakeshore, and we will definitely return there in the future. The girls had a great time kayaking, paddleboarding, playing putt putt, sand volleyball, and jumping off the rope swing. It was a great weekend.

Both homes were beautiful, had comfortable beds and furniture, well-appointed kitchens, nice linens, and were close enough that we could walk back and forth easily. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub at each home, as well as little touches like corn hole, horseshoes, and the chimineas. Everything was VERY clean... truly, not a single mark on the shower glass doors, and we were very comfortable. We are already talking about having next year's retreat there again.
