Carp Lake, Michigan
This Vintage Rustic cabin, primarily designed for the camping & fishing enthusiast, is just one cabin of a 7 cabin resort. This cabin was built in the early 1950's and holds every bit of that vintage character. It may be a little rough around the edges but this authentic cabin holds the wonderful allure of days gone by. Electrical outlets would have been added a few years later and air conditioning wasn’t even thought of at that time. Those details won't matter to the outdoorsy kind coming for the camping experience where lake activity fills your day and evenings are enjoyed around the campfire. This charming cabin has a knotty pine interior and all the basics to create an Up North camping style atmosphere. A lifestyle one will appreciate becoming acquainted with.
All the cabins are lined up next to each other along the shore of a beautifully serene lake. This close proximity to other cabins have traditionally created a friendly community style atmosphere where guests mingle and create lasting friendships. This is the kind of place where your grandparents brought your parents, your parent’s brought you, and you are now bringing your children to create beautiful memories while spending a nostalgic vacation in a familiar old cabin.
This cabin is 528 sq ft and sleeps a family of 6 utilizing 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and a futon in the living room. There's a kitchen with everything to cover your basic needs, a dinning space and a simple bathroom that includes a warm shower. The spacious 9’x6’ enclosed porch overlooking the lake is the perfect spot to watch the fishing boats go out during the morning sunrise.
Whether you are looking for a home base to camp at the lake or a base camp while you explore the area’s attractions, you will enjoy this cozy cabin and all its imperfections. More than anything, you’re gonna love the authentic charm and the carefree lifestyle that comes with camping Up North.

Great stay
Awesome place for a getaway from city. I just stopped by for a night from mackinaw island and it is very near from city. Nice place to live close to nature. I will definitely come back here.
I was charged on Expedia and on-site.... I hope this is a glitch. Great place, rustic giving you a feeling of the area. Fire place is great, beds are adequate, ambience is unmatched.
This place always feels like home. I have been back to this place again and again for the last 4 years. From family trips to friend get always. It is clean, friendly, spacious and peaceful The management is pleasant to work with.
We had a great weekend away for my birthday Thurs-Sun in August. The location right on the water, little dock, boat ramp right next door, was awesome. The general store and little bar/restaurant are within walking distance too! The only downs-falls we had with the place, yes we knew it was rustic and we were prepared for an older, rustic, outdoorsy cabin Up North. However, cleanliness really fell short here. We had to Clorox everything from the counters to the refrigerator. There are a ton of spider webs and spiders all over the cabin. The entire cabin floors have been demoed and there is only concrete, dirty, dusty, sandy concrete. We couldn’t put anything on the floors and wore sandals our entire stay throughout the house except for when getting into bed. Overall we really did love the location and access to the water but as far as transparency about the condition of the cabin, we felt that fell short. We could have been a little more prepared for something like that, ESPECIALLY for the price. They don’t add up.
The cabin was cute, back screen door was damaged, floor was dirty, sandy, utensils plates dirty. The water was scalding hot. The lake was awesome. We will not stay there again. We were sad.
Entire family loved it. Great rustic cabin that just allowed us to unwind and get away. Will be back. If visiting in winter bring slippers.
Ritchie was there as soon as we arrived! Cabin was just as presented. Rustic, comfy, and RIGHT ON the beautiful, peaceful lake. Really enjoyed the fire pit and porch. Got great pics of sunrise and sunset. Would stay again!!
we had a great time
Cute little cabin bad everything we needed the shower could use a little help (old and small) but it was doable. They are pet friendly so that was great! Owner greeted us as soon as we pulled in gave all instructions and was always available if anything was needed. Nice fire pit with lake view doc comes right to the house, water is as clean and sandy and shallow for a good distance for kids and dogs to play! If you forget camping chairs they have plastic ones right at the cabins! We loved it! We tried to stay longer then out originally plan but unfortunately it was booked :( owner was very nice and helpful we loved it!
Would not recommend for family with children.
Enjoyed two nights with my husband and oldest daughter for a little getaway. Beautiful location, comfortable cabin, basic but good amenities, cabin decor, simple, but pleasant. Served its purpose for us very well and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a camping lifestyle without staying in an actual camper, but rather a cabin.
me and my husband loved staying here, the cabins were cozy and warm had a very nice lakefront view, place is clean and well maintained the owner was very nice and accomodating he made sure we need everything during our stay, we brougth our fur babies with us no problem, the place is also close to everything so getting some food or someting else is just minutes away, we will definitely book this place again.
