Great. We are early 70’s thinking about coming in winter to watch snow flakes blowing by windows
Great place to stay. Exceptionally clean. Very quiet as there is little traffic on the road and the next neighbor is a ways down. Host and Hostess were very friendly leaving us a nice note and some cookies when we arrived. Bed was very comfortable. Felt like we were at home. Would definitely stay there again.
Very cozy farmhouse. Many extra touches to make it a special place. The bed is very comfortable too. Upon arrival a plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies with a welcome card, very nice touch!
This is a fabulous place to stay!! Charming and super comfortable farmhouse. Hosts outstanding. Quiet and peaceful. Will stay here again.
This is a wonderful house with the downstairs refurbished (upstairs locked and not available). It is a separate house on a working farm. One bedroom. We used tv once and it was fine. Propane bbq was available. Gorgeous antiques. Firepit available but we needed to buy our own wood. Owner who lives across the road pointed us toward nearby store where we got enough wood for 3 nights for $10 and when he saw me hunting for sticks to toast marshmallows he brought us some metal ones and kindling. Very quite and lots of land between you an neighbors. Cows came visiting (behind a fence) at night to see what our campfire was about. About equal distance to Mackinaw City and Wilderness park. Also near darkskies area but we did our star gazing from the farm as it was dark. I would highly recommend this as place to stay near Wilderness State Park and close enough to Mackinaw City to go to a restaurant or buy groceries. Owners were super helpful and lots of nice touches (eg homemade cookies as welcome gift).
The place was neat and orderly. Coming from a farm family it was nice and quiet. The stars were beautiful.
Robin was so kind and a GREAT host. When we entered this beautiful property and went inside, we were met with delicious cookies, a sweet card, and fresh flowers. The whole place is pulled together with adorable and beautiful decor. Everything we needed was there! Including a baking sheet, plastic wrap, water bottles, and all of the essentials. We had so much fun and such a peaceful honeymoon here. We hope to come back soon! :)
This place is outstanding! It’s the perfect location from the bridge and a short drive to KPLN and dark sky. The house is easy to locate and so peaceful and quiet. Great alternative to staying in the hotels in Mackinaw City. The house is freshly decorated but stayed true to its farm house roots. The hosts were so great and provided everything needed! Will def. be back!
Hostess of this property very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place to stay. Enjoy the peacefulness, saw sand hill cranes and hummingbirds very relaxing.
Truly an adorable property and such a nice get away! The farmhouse is spacious and well-equipped but with such a cozy feel. Communication was great with the hosts. Feels off the beaten path, but was still an easy drive to Mackinaw City and other local attractions. Can't wait to return!
We booked this adorable farmhouse last minute for a chance to view the Northern Lights. The location is quite close to Wilderness State Park where they have a dark sky viewing area. Ron was there to greet us and show us around, while Robin had thoughtfully left us a plate of homemade cookies. They have painstakingly restored this farmhouse into a lovely getaway. It was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. I highly recommend!!!!
