Buzzard's Cabin - 1940's Mountain Charm Near Ohiopyle State Park

Buzzard's Cabin was the perfect space for a weekend getaway. It was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed drinking our coffee while sitting in the hot tub watching deer cross the path. We would return!

Out of all the air b n bs we have stayed at this was not the greatest for the amount of money you pay!! The key code didn’t work, leak in the kitchen. The address was not out by the road it was quite difficult to find.

Loved the lit Christmas tree and fireplace when we arrived. Property was just as described, cozy and rustic. We had everything we needed. Two issues: we could not turn on the tv in the living room and nobody returned our call for help. Also. There is no closet, nowhere to put clothes at all. Overall it is a nice clean place, just don't unplug the airfreshener. There was a smell that the airfreshener covered up.

Felt like it was too expensive and there was no hot water and couldn’t get in contact with anyone to fix it

The cabin was nice and quaint. The property gives the feel of being secluded from the neighborhood making it a great getaway. We had a nice couple days for our anniversary.

Great cabin. We loved our stay here. Very cozy and comfortable. Loved the sound of the crick running along cabin. Beautiful place!!! Only complaint is the water pressure

We had a wonderful visit at this charming rustic cabin. Never stayed in a cabin before, so it was a wonderful treat for us. The place was very private amongst the trees, loved hearing the roar of the water beside us...so beautiful. The host was wonderful..made the booking and access to the place very easy. It was about 8min away from Nemocolin Woodland Resort, so it was super convienient for going to see our daughters college golf tournament. The only thing i would suggest is to bring plenty of bottled water, because the water at the cabin has alot of rust in it. The stay was wonderful, cant wait to go back!

Overall a nice stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and electric fireplace. No good restaurants near by and everything is closed several days during the week but we bought groceries nearby and made our own gourmet steak dinner with the provided pans. Location is close to other houses but tucked into trees so you do get a sense of privacy.

Very relaxing, just what we were looking for

This place is dirty. The shower is absolutely ghetto. We rented the cabin for a week. We left on the third day. It was so disappointing. The bedroom walls are made with some kind of particleboard . Also, the bed was from the 60’s. It needs replaced.

The bathroom was not up to par!! Look at pictures!! Toilet was dirty with an orange ring. Shower curtain inner lining had mold on it, and the bathroom floor was dusty and dirty. Other than that the cabin was beautiful. Kitchen was clean and the accommodations were great but IToilet was dirty with an orange ring. We had a great time.

Very clean. Hottub was perfect. Firepit was set up nicely. Cabin is perfect size for a couple wanting to get away for weekend. Ohiopile is 15 minutes away, casino is 10 minutes away, winery is 10 minutes away.

Let me start by saying I am not an overly picky guest and I really did like the location. The problem is, this cabin needs some serious attention. Upon entering it was nice and cool but, there was an overwhelming smell of must/mildew. First thing I noticed was the ceiling fan in living room was warped. (usually due to moisture) There is carpeting stapled to ceiling also. As you walk around living room there are weak spots in floor and literally holes. Someone...or a dog, could fall through. In kitchen area, there is a part of the floor that is pulled up. In general, the floors are very uneven. That probably explains some people complaining that the bed is leaning. It is. The bathroom is small but useable. The glass above shower is cracked but, not leaking. Also, although the cabin was generally clean there was a spider making a home in shower area. The bedroom is done in all particle board that has been painted. Our first night there there was a large...(not a mouse or squirell) critter scratching in kitchen area to the point our dog stayed up all night to watch. When I went outside the next morning, I noticed there are multiple entry points that critters can get in. Also, there are many spots outside where the wood is just rotting and there is algae growth all over the house and hot tub. (we didn't use the hot tub but it looked ok other than the lid needing replaced.) I can't recommend staying here until some issues are fixed. Lung issues especially.

We loved this cozy little cabin. Couple of small inconveniences but we worked it out. Our pup was right at home too!

My husband and I stayed a night at Buzzard's Cabin to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The cabin was in a great location and felt secluded among the trees. It had all the things we needed. The only complaint would be that need was not very comfortable.

Cabin is true to its description. We enjoyed our stay, the hot tub was wonderful. The kitchen and living room are roomy and well furnished. The bathroom is tiny. The bedroom is pretty small as well and the bed was not comfortable. We discovered the mattress was flipped upside down and was not the type of mattress you can flip over. It still wasn't comfortable. Host apologized however they also said it was replaced recently. If so, it's a cheap mattress. I'd stay again but bring my own mattress topper ...

The property is very clean and a home like feeling. We love this place, it was our 2nd time and defiantly won't be our last time.

Overall this was a great little cabin. Perfect for our anniversary getaway. I have no complaints. It was just what we thought. The pictures make the shower look larger than it is but its a nice shower. The bed frame, well, there wasnt one. The pictures show what appears to be a more eye appealing bed BUT it was an amazing mattress and i got great sleep! Idc what it looks like. It was a great nights sleep. I hifgly recommend going to Fuel Works Coffee fornyour morning coffee btw. Thank you for a great romantic getaway in yojr wonderful cabin!

Buzzard’s cabin was spotless. The living area was cozy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The cabin was close to everything we wanted to see and do. Easy to find too. The hot tub was enjoyable.

Enjoyed our relaxing stay at the cabin. Four deer wandered up to the property while we were having our morning coffee. Surrounding State Parks were scenic and enjoyable

The property was well marked to find on the road. My husband and I enjoyed the solitude of the cabin. The bed was a little uncomfortable and there were two very large spiders in the shower at different times but we were in the woods. We took advantage of the hot tub every night. Walking around the cabin in my socks noticed that the floors were slightly dirty. Other than those small things I would recommend this place to others.

The cabin was nicely appointed. The hot tub was amazing. The check in process was seamless. The only complaint is about the bed. Very uncomfortable.

We stayed at the cabin during a heat wave. I can't tell you how pleasurable it was. The AC in the cabin worked well. But honestly, we spent most of our time on the porch. Despite the excess heat, the porch was pleasant and private. The entire cabin felt very comfortable and homey.

We enjoyed our stay. The living room and kitchen are spacious. The bedroom and bath are a little tight. We used the hot tub once The cabin does need a little Attention . I left a note for the cleaner. Burned out bulbs,pillows in bedroom need to be replaced, floor in kitchen is loose and a tripping hazard. The worst is that there are mice. Being familiar wit h living in the country we made sure to put our food in the microwave but every morning I had to clean up mice droppings on the kitchen counters Not fun Saw 3 beautiful buckd
