Overall the place was perfect! Enough space to spread out, but open enough for our group to hang out. The garage was perfect for cleaning birds as well! Can’t wait to head back!!!
Exactly as listed, great communication from owners and had a great time!
Very nice place to stay and relax
Everything was as advertised
Was a great location, nice family weekend! Enjoyed the stay.
It was a great get away for the kids and I. The house is great plenty of room , has movies and games , beds were comfortable, and the reason we were there THE LAKE did not disappoint the fishing was great off the dock the kids had all day fun everyday of catching fish. Hope to go back next year!
We had an amazing time! The place was clean and well stocked. Lots of extras (kitchen, water toys, toiletries, etc) we didn’t expect. It’s nothing fancy but cozy and easily feels like home. For an semi-extended family vacation it worked perfectly because the living space is on the opposite side of the house of the bedrooms. So adults can enjoy their morning coffee without waking the kids ;) The fishing was decent, the swimming was nice although the shore is rocks not sand, but we swam just fine every day. I assume earlier in the summer is better when the algae hasn’t bloomed…we were later in summer the water left a little to be desired. It just had the perfect summer feel, we loved it.
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. The kids, 10 and 14, fished off the dock and took our kayak and the kayak on the property out during the mornings and evenings. The lake was pretty quiet, so we were comfortable giving them some freedom and while we relaxed on the dock. The property was also in close proximity to other popular lakes, so we were able to take day trips and explore the surroundings. The location, near hwys 10 and 25, made it easy to get where we needed to go with ease. Kylee was quick to respond with questions and concerns.
Overall this house suited our needs. The kitchen and laundry room are great and being close to the lake (with a very short walk down to it) was perfect. The two broken kitchen chairs should be repaired or replaced. The six-year-olds and 18-month-old really liked sitting on the stools at the kitchen counter when eating their breakfast. Most of the beds were really comfortable. The metal bunk bed squeaks badly making it hard/impossible to sleep in this room; the 6-year-olds did okay but adults had to move to another room. The shed with water toys needs to be picked up and broken items or those missing pieces tossed or recycled. It was difficult to find and use items in the storage shed. The lily pad was great and made entering and exiting the lake easy for kids. This was their first lake experience and they loved it. The dock needs some attention. Adults had to hold onto the edge of the dock when walking on slippery/uneven rocks to get in and out of the lake. The horses in the big beautiful pasture across the road are wonderful. The setting is great. This was our first VRBO experience. It was easy and reassuring to communicate with the owner who was extremely responsive. We appreciated having beach towels dropped off and questions answered quickly. We were here for a family reunion with Friday spent at a farm in Langford, Saturday spent at Fort Sisseton and Sunday at Roslyn and Pickerel Lake. We were happy to find such a nice place to stay with a short drive to all.
King bed was amazing, comfortable. Worked well for us.
Our hunting party was very comfortable at the house, we enjoyed the fish cleaning station and had plenty of room for all of our gear. The lake was perfect for fishing and for our hunting dog to swim in after a long day.
Very nice cabin that suited my group perfectly
We had the most amazing time celebrating my parents 20th anniversary at this property. Kylee was so helpful through all steps of the process and made us feel so welcomed. While the weather was not in our favor, we did get to enjoy some dock fishing and caught a few! We truly had a wonderful time and would recommend to anyone looking!!
The place was great. Very clean. Family had a awesome time here. Can't wait to come back.
We had a great girls weekend! Cabin was nice and roomy! Lake was beautiful! Thank you so much for everything!
The pictures 100% represent this property! The house was great, loved the kitchen and open plan. We didn't even turn on a tv, spent all of our time fishing and enjoying the surroundings. The privacy of the property was great, we felt right at home. Great access to the public boat ramp, enjoyed Club Eden for dinner a couple of times and visited Roy Lake for fishing also. The neighboring horses were a delight to watch as were the birds. We will definitely be back. Hosts Jake and Kylee were responsive. We had one evening with a fantastic thunderstorm, earlier in the day Jake made a point to tell us if we felt we needed extra shelter to come to their home. A great experience, thank you so very much!
This was a great place. I would definitely stay here again.
