Our first and last stay here. Property on the ground was very overgrown. Looked run down. Our porch had rotting boards. They actually put a rug over top of the rotting spots. Limited privacy as most of the blinds wouldn’t close. Had a mouse issue the first night. Lost about $40 worth of food. Had to lock it in a cooler. Shower very dirty and stained. Beds hard. Floors dirty. And the bar food at the lodge was awful.

The cabin was filthy . There was a smell that was so bad , after 3 hours our eyes were burning ! Wasnt gonna put my wife through that misery for our anniversay , so i had to book a hotel for that night ! So , i stead of a 2 night stay we only got one , due to the fact we payed 300 and didnt even stay there and had to rent a hotel room . Terrible experience !!!

The cabin was rustic and homey. The cabin, when closed up all day, had a slight musty smell which cleared easily when the windows open. Overall good for our needs.

We were busy during our stay, not vacationing. Beds were comfortable & cabin met our basic needs. Fans & window air conditioner were very dirty, pliers provided to turn on A/C, did not use. Glad we brought a fan, weather was hot & humid. Restaurant & bar were convenient & busy, menu/food good. Overall, outdoor property is unkempt & messy, needs a railing for safer access to pier. Would have liked an outdoor picnic table by the cabin, as photo showed. Would look elsewhere for an enjoyable “vacation” stay.

We really had the best time here. The house was cozy, had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. We spent our weekend swimming in the lake, grilling, and enjoying great company by the fire. It was nice to walk over to the nearby restaurant for a quick bite to eat and a cocktail. The highlight of our weekend was fishing off the dock, we caught a variety of fish. We are already planning our next trip to come!

Cozy, cute, spotless cabin. Peaceful and beautiful location. The Lodge has excellent food (street tacos yum!) and service. The owner Joe is so personable and knowledgeable. Had a boat ready for us. Made us feel like friends, not guests. We will definitely be back!

Our host was very accommodating and went to some trouble to provide us with a boat. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed catching some nice fish, especially big cats. I appreciate the kindness of our host.
