We had a very relaxing and quite time on the property. No sprawling metropolis, phones ringing, traffic, just quiet.
It was great
We had a wonderful time at this amazing cabin. There was plenty of room for three generations to enjoy each other and the outdoors. This was our second visit and we will be back again.
Place was in a great location and very well appointed. We did enjoy our stay. It was not very clean though, food under the beds, BBQ grills were unusable due to rust, cobwebs in most corners and light fixtures, and the outside had trash around. The fridge had ice settled in the bottom and a pretty bad leak on the inside, should of been noticed prior to arrival. The sliding door to the hot tub deck was extremely tough to open and close, the grandparents needed help with it. Upside is the kids didn’t stand a chance in opening it. Really did love the rock features on the property though.
Would love to stay again, but longer!
The rocks & forest surrounding this property are gorgeous. And very relaxing. And the children loved climbing on the rocks. The kitchen is large & easy to have one than one cook using it.
The only thing that I could say at all was that there was an old plate and old bowl with food in it that smelled awful underneath one of the beds of one of the downstairs bedrooms. We did not find it until we were tidying up on the morning we left. It’s smelled rancid. However, I couldn’t say enough about how beautiful and accommodating our weekend was. We had a great time in the amazing cabin. Fantastic stay.
We had a great time - wish we could’ve stayed longer.
The cabin was in the best location, near dedoto and little river canyon patks as well as fort payne. The property itself was amazing: wooded and private with lots of outdoor space for family to enjoy. The cabin was even nicer than pictured on line. Again lots of space for 8 adults and two infants. It was equipped with everything we needed. Would definitley love to stay there again!
This cabin was perfect for a family weekend. Very spacious and cozy. The screened in porch with large table was a huge plus.
We really enjoyed our stay at Briar Ridge! The fire pit out back and the hot tub on the screened in porch were nice additions for a relaxing weekend in the mountains with my friends. There was a slight misunderstanding with the owner/property manager, but everything was set right almost immediately. Desoto falls was a quick drive that made for a fun day of swimming at a waterfall, and the main strip was also a quick car ride away. Everything at the cabin was very well stocked and we felt right at home. Also- the bunk beds at this location were perfect for fitting several people without having to share a bed with someone else.
The entire family enjoy this cabin. There was ample room for everyone. We all enjoyed the hot tub. The screened porch was especially nice since it was raining. That gave us an area to still be outside but out of the weather. The kids played games and put together puzzles at the large table. I will be renting this cabin again in the future.
This was a beautiful home to stay in. It was very clean and in a lovely quiet wooded area with rock formations. The hot tub was amazing. The beds and pillows could be a little softer but overall no complaints.
Wonderful clean house with plenty of space for everyone to hang out. Much nicer than the pictures! My children really enjoyed climbing the rocks.
We had 11 people and there was plenty of room. The table on the screened porch was awesome. So big it fit us all. We ate there every evening. We saw deer walking through the property. It was a great place to stay. Highly recommend!!
This was an excellent place for my wife and me and 9 of our grandchildren ages 6-14. Lots of room and very comfortable. Great location.
This house is nestled in some unique rock formations, giving it a very private and unique feel. The house itself offers ample gathering space (we LOVED the long table on the deck for games!) while still allowing several private bedrooms for couples. Two & 1/2 baths is also ideal, its never fun waiting on bathrooms! We will absolutely look for this same house again, which I can't say I've ever attempted before. It's just set up perfectly for large groups with a bunk room for any extra people. I just wish is was dog friendly! But the ticks were OUT so probably for the best that it wasn't. An easy 10 minute drive and mile walk down to the Desoto Falls Basin swimming hole made for the perfect Saturday activity and dinner out at Wildflower Cafe was a blast. Mentone is always a treat!! Highly recommend this house! It's kitchen is VERY well stocked, which is always a pleasant surprise.
