Escape to a Blue Lake Lodge, a spacious cabin with a guesthouse that sets on 10+ secluded acres next to the Lincoln National Forest. Don’t forget your pets, because they are welcome too! Blue Lake Lodge is on the northeast side of Ruidoso, close enough to town for easy access, but far enough away that your vacation getaway seems truly private. Best of all, you have breathtaking views of Sierra Blanca Peak.

Blue Lake Lodge is a seven-bedroom, six-bathroom, air-conditioned dream cabin that can sleep 18 comfortably. It’s perfect for a family reunion in the mountains. Whatever time of year you visit, we encourage you to come in a high profile, four-wheel-drive vehicle. The last half-mile of Forest Road 120A is gravel with a steep pitch leading to the cabin. Once you arrive at Blue Lake Lodge, you’ll find plenty of parking for your group out front.

When you walk inside Blue Lake Lodge, the beauty of the home’s interior will amaze you. Vaulted and beamed ceilings are complemented by a stone fireplace and log walls. You’ll want to toss your bags down and settle into the comfortable couch and loveseat. The Southwestern décor is so cozy and through your large windows and glass doors, you have a view of the deck and forest beyond. Blue Lake Lodge has a flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player in the living room. Gather your group to watch a favorite movie. There’s also free Wi-Fi within the home that makes it so convenient to send photos to friends.

You’ll spend many a pleasant hour enjoying the sights, sounds, and pine scent of the mountains from your expansive deck.

One thing you’ll notice in the mountains: you and your guests will have hearty appetites. Whether it’s all the exercise and activity or just the altitude when mealtime arrives your gang will be ready to gobble down whatever you can provide. Fortunately, you have a dream kitchen at hand with massive gas stove, a full complement of appliances, cookware, dishes, glassware, and utensils. Gather ingredients in a Ruidoso market and whip up your favorite dishes with ease. You have a gas grill out on the upper deck in case you want to cook up some burgers or steaks.

You can serve your crew around the large, circular dining room table. With windows facing the forest on two walls, you’ll feel like nature is an extra guest at your table. Before you sit down for dinner, head out onto your large deck to watch the sun set over the mountains as you enjoy an evening cocktail. You may see a deer or some chipmunks scurry past on their way to their forest homes.

The main house at Blue Lake Lodge includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Go upstairs to find the primary bedroom and two guest rooms. Downstairs are two additional guest bedrooms, plus a handy extra kitchen, and gathering area with leather couch, TV, and a wood-burning fireplace. Just like the upper level, the lower living area offers beautiful views of the forest and mountains.

The primary suite includes a king-sized bed and a primary bathroom with glass block shower and large vanity that will make getting ready a true pleasure each day.

It is such an appreciated convenience for each of the bedrooms in the main house to have a private bathroom. There’s no waiting around for a turn in the shower.

Blue Lake Lodge has its own laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer and soaking sink. No matter how dirty your family’s clothes get hiking, skiing, or riding horses, you’ll be able to keep them in clean attire throughout your stay.

About 50 yards from the main house is the guesthouse. It has its own cozy living room with TV and comfortable furniture, a full kitchen, bathroom, and two comfortable bedrooms.

Both of the bedrooms is outfitted with a queen-sized bed. This second guesthouse bedroom is the ideal place to put up any kids traveling with you to the mountains. They’ll have a ball in this room with a great view of the forest out large windows.

Bring your family or friends to the New Mexico mountains and experience the forest’s beauty as only Ruidoso can deliver it. Book your stay at Blue Lake Lodge today!

Please Note: A pet fee of $75 applies for each pet.

Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. 4x4 or chains and sometimes both may be required during winter months to access your home.

The appearance of the property was beautiful. It “looked” clean but it was not. The floor looked like it wasn’t even vacuumed the couch on the main floor was disgusting, there was dog hair all over the beds. The air conditioner in the guest house didn’t work, and there was no hot water either. The kitchen refrigerator downstairs in the main house was broken. And for some reason instead of leaving bathroom products in the master bath there were 2 packages of dishwasher detergent. They need to look into a new cleaning company and perform a major inspection to this property. There were quite a few outlets in the kitchen that did not work as well. If this property was properly cared for it would be an excellent choice to rent. The views were amazing and it had a bed for everyone that joined our trip.

The cabins were very roomy and we had plenty of room for all of us to be there! Beautiful view!

The house is beautiful and the views are amazing. That is the saving grace for the home. The rental did not feel worth the amount of money we paid to stay here. We paid almost 4K to stay for 4 days and felt ripped off. The couch is absolutely disgusting, please clean it or get a new couch. The sheets are itchy and rough, pillows are flat and old. I don’t think anyone in the family slept well one night. I think the boxes for the TV’s were extremely old, like 20yrs old. No wonder the Tv in the master was stuck on one channel. Overall we just felt disappointed by the amount of money we paid for what we received. Again, it’s a beautiful property and great for big families, but details matter. When you pay that much money, sheets should be clean/high quality, pillows should be decent, and you should be able to sit on the furniture without feeling dirty afterwards. We would stay here again if updates and improvements were made.

One of the most impressive things about this property where the views. My family and I watch the sunset every night we were there. We also loved the hot tub and Lookout point. Having the two separate houses worked out well. My older children enjoyed being able to use it to get away from the younger kids. We had several couples on this trip and had plenty of room. We really enjoyed having the multiple levels with separate kitchens. I was very pleased with the property and would recommend it to friends and family.

Very nice and spacious cabin with super views of the Sierra Blanca mountains. Very peaceful with lots of room to roam and explore. The only drawback is the road up to the cabin was a little treacherous. But worth the drive up!

The house was beautiful, pictures don’t do it justice! Plenty of towels were provided and the living and dining area was a perfect set up to keep a big group together for games and entertainment. The location was nice and secluded however the drive up the road was very bumpy with a lot of huge rocks to be careful of. You need a tall vehicle to get there without fear of car damage.

Cabin was great for our group: 4 parents and 12 kids of various ages. The kitchen was perfect for cooking all our meals. I do recommended they add a Keurig coffee maker. The road is rough but our vans got up just fine. Great layout for a big group.

We enjoyed our stayed, the only thing is that the pictures showed one room with two bunk beds, which ended up being just a queen bed. The road to the house during the winter is rough. You do need 4x4 or chains. Will return for sure.
