The surrounding area is rural and wooded, giving you that escape-to-nature feel while still being just a short drive from trails, restaurants, and climbing crags.

You’ll be within easy reach of the best the Gorge has to offer, including the Natural Bridge State Park, hikes, climbing routes, Red River Gorge Underground Kayaks, and well-known food stops like Miguel’s Pizza, Sky Bridge Station, and Daniel Boone Coffee. It’s a great home base whether you’re here to relax, explore, or do a bit of both.

Evenings are quiet and calm, the stars are bright, and the property is spacious enough that you won’t feel crowded by neighbors—just settled into the woods with nature all around you.

Getting Around:

Billabong Cabin is easy to reach by car, with simple access from the main roads that lead into the Red River Gorge. The cabin has private parking right on site, and no intense driveway conditions, Just pull in, unpack, and you’re settled.

The area itself is best explored by vehicle, as there is no public transportation or rideshare availability in most parts of the Gorge. From the cabin, popular trails, overlooks, and local restaurants are only a short drive away, making it simple to plan day trips or hop out for a meal.

Most major attractions, including Natural Bridge State Park, are within 10–20 minutes, so you can spend more time adventuring and less time driving. This cabin is so clean and new! My son had fun fishing. We whited the fire pit and of course the hot tub on the deck in the woods. It is so centrally located to several great hikes in the gorge and next to natural bridge.

Very clean. It was very quiet, close to Natural Bridge State Park, The Gorge Underground, and lots of hiking trails. Ample parking. It was on a quiet road also. We would definitely stay here again!

When looking to hike Red River Gorge there were lots of options. The set of cabins from RRG kept coming to the top of our list. We were not disappointed. The cabin was well maintained, clean and beautiful both in and out. Everything including the hot tub worked well, which got plenty of use after hiking all day. Even with rain the front porch was great for morning coffee. We will return.

The property did list one tub shower and one shower , both were tub showers and with a recent knee surgery we were expecting the ease of a walk in shower . Hall shower had low water pressure. Red wasps were an issue on the warm day and seemed to come from the back gutters.Would like to have had blinds on the front and back doors for privacy . Over all we had a wonderful time , property was super clean and accessible from the main road . The host responded to all questions super quick !

The on-line pictures are accurate to the condition of the cabin. Very clean and newer, close to a lot of hiking trails and other activities. Most area businesses close early so you need to plan around that. Overall, a great stay and I would recommend this to others.

My friends and I had a wonderful time getting away for the weekend. The location was close to the hiking trails we wanted to explore and enjoyed hanging out on the back deck and in the hot tub. The cabin very clean and had many supplies that I have otherwise had to bring to other places.
