Everything about the home was perfect and exactly what we hoped for in a mountain getaway.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, which made cooking meals easy and convenient. The house was also stocked with numerous board games that kept everyone entertained and created some really fun family memories.One of our favorite parts was relaxing on the deck while listening to the creek running below the house — it was so peaceful and calming. The hot tub was absolutely amazing, especially in the cool mountain air with the beautiful scenery surrounding us. The views are incredible, and the setting truly feels like a relaxing retreat in the pines.The location was perfect for enjoying nature and spending quality family time together. We loved the cozy atmosphere of the home and appreciated how comfortable and welcoming everything felt.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Big Rock Creek Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain escape in Idyllwild.

Cabin is in an amazing location. We loved every minute of our stay. The upstairs bedroom has a Priceless view. The deck with the constant Creek flowing is completely relaxing. We will definitely return.

The only issue we had was that the WiFi connection wasn’t working and we had no way of calling property management to let them know. It wasn’t a big issue for us but my 2 kids weren’t happy about it. If you don’t mind unplugging for a few days, this house is a great choice.

It was peaceful and quiet. We loved the art and crystals and feeling within the home and it had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves and prepare some of our meals. The amenities are fantastic, the deck has a wonderful view with the calming sounds from Strawberry Creek, and everyone had a great time. My kids (7 and 5) really enjoyed the bunk beds and playing the different games. Would highly recommend, but there are several things to mention.1. This is a nice home, meaning the wooden floors, countertops, and decor need care and attention. Not recommended for those with untidy children, as it will stain or damage the property, which means $$ from you.2. The creek is not hikeable. There is private property all around. 3. The check in/out is a slight inconvenience, but an inconvenience regardless. You have to pick up and drop off the keys at the main office. Out of 20+ short term rentals I've stayed in, never have I had to drive to an office, find a lockbox out of 30 on a wall, and get the keys.4. The really long emails and archaic contract PDFs just add to the inconvenience. I understand the need to convey important information, but please format it properly rather than sending 1000 words (yes, I counted). Also, contracts should be via an e-sign provider, not PDFs to fill out, scan and email back. And at the very least include check in/out and pricing details in the PDF before sending it out rather than having the customer fill it out.5. The property managers are very responsive and easy to communicate with. It was nice knowing that I could send a text and get a response back within minutes typically.

Place is really nice and fun to stay in. Check in is a hassle with all the forms, and no one was there to give us the key. They also try to nickel and dime you for everything.
