This property was just what we were looking for while visiting Big Bend area. The room was large and clean. The beds were comfortable. The property was quiet and had a great view of the mountains from our rocking chairs on the front porch.
It was wild and fun to discover all the beauty of the mountain property, picking up rocks and looking at cactus. The view is simply incredible and starry nights so romantic. We met really nice people at the cantina and the cantina was loaded with good things to eat. Wonderful time!
I was really hesitant not knowing much about qhere I was going. However, Ten Bits Ranch is a very unique and fun place to visit. The rooms are in great shape and without a doubt I'm coming back again! If you're planning a trip to Big Bend National Park, you MUST check out Ten Bits Ranch!
This was exactly what we had hoped for.
We had an amazing stay here. The firepits are awesome. We walked around the property for hours each day exploring. Big bend is a 30 min drive. The stars are amazing. The shower water is hot. If I'm ever back in the area this is no doubt where I will stay again. The breakfast is good. Bring some water because the water is non-potable. :)
The road to get out to the location is somewhat rough, but I think better than last year. Love the peace and quiet of the location. The ability to watch the stars at night is great. Peace and quiet.
Cute rustic community created about 12 miles outside of Terlingua. My husband daughter and I stayed here while we explored the area and Bog Bend National park. It is a bit of a drive to the park each day, but we’ll worth it for the accommodations, solitude and views. The rooms were very spacious, clean and well stocked for our stay. We had plenty of towels, I 1 gallon jug of water, several bottles of water in the bathroom (water is not drinkable/potable way out there), a small Kerigue with K-pods, plenty of toilet paper, and small soaps and body wash setup. It was like a nice rustic hotel set up. We Enjoy the views every morning, and every night and took in the beautiful wildlife all around us. We saw bats, quail, a bobcat, roadrunner and various other animals. I would encourage you to take some bug/ant proof containers. Luckily, we were very prepared for this, because the ants were desperately looking for food and water. They were sneaking in every crack in the wall they could find. We sprayed a little bug spray at their route of entrance and kept our food and beverages sealed tight. This kept them at bay. If I could recommend one thing. It would be some form of storage or shelving to place items like our dry goods and such while lodging. Other than this, this place was perfect!! We definitely will stay again!!
Great location as long as you enjoy tranquility. The 2 mile dirt road into the property took me back to my childhood growing up in the country and the view from the porch is nothing short of majestic.
The morning of our last day started with a sprinkle that ended with a double rainbow streaming from the top of Hen Egg Mountain! Describes our entire stay. Thank you
Ten Bits is the cutest little community. Our cabin was perfect for the 4 of us. The views from the porch were amazing. We spent every night watching the stars. Love this place. We will be back!
This was our 2nd stay at Ten Bits Ranch. This time we stayed in one of the units that were underconstruction during our first visit. Had a perfect unobstructed view of the west and Hen Egg Mountain from our front porch & caught beautiful sunsets and sunrise reflections off the clouds in the west. Highly recommend a stay at Ten Bits Ranch if you are visiting the Big Bend/Terlingua area.
The road in is bumpy and long, but other than that, nice property. Room was spacious, beds comfortable. Shower could have used a bit more water pressure but we understood that it was off grid. Enjoyed the look of an old western town.
We had a great stay at the 10 Bits Ranch. Our only issue was with the internet. We could not get a connection during our stay. Otherwise it is a nice place to stay close to Big Bend National Park and Terlingua. Would definitely recommend.
Loved it all
Really enjoyed the stay in Delmonico’s Steakhouse. Very roomy! Loved the place and will be back!
This was our 3rd visit, and will be back!
Just an awesome place. Very comfortable, quiet, and the star glazing was just beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Great accommodation for a family!
This ranch should be a contender for Ranch of the Year, it's that impressive and considering its location- its extremely impressive! The amount of amenities and overall set up of this property is incredible. We were able to take so many pictures, that are book worthy, without even leaving the property. We appreciate the parking area at the front of the property because when enjoying the overall feel and also taking pictures, it really helps not having a bunch of vehicles in the shots (no parking at your personal cabin, only to drop off your things) Take the advice serious about rain on the ranch road. If a rain does come, it will take about an hour or two to dry out so be mindful to respect the property and not get yourself stuck (there can be arrangements for 4x4 to help get you in/out of property in bad weather) We brought enough food for 3 meals a day for our stay to cook in the on-site cantina and grill area (sorry but you won't be calling in a pizza delivery here!) Be mindful that you are coming to a remote area in general. It's always wise to have plenty of water, food and fuel in your car at all times because things can happen. My wife and I are amazed at the establishment Sis and Cowboy have created. Us being Texans too, we tip our hat to Ten Bits Ranch!
Sis and Cowboy were excellent hosts. We experienced bad weather but they saved the day! The accommodations were more than perfect. We could not think of one thing we didn’t love about our stay. 10 plus stars! 10 plus thumbs up!
