Big Bear Cabin Close to Lake, Trails & Village!

The property looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in Months. We found socks and tissues under the bed. The bathroom was dirty and the kitchen lacked the basic necessities.

Wrong code to enter property provided at check-in and could not reach my guest coordinator to gain access. Property was dirty and didn’t have any pillowcases. Took a full day to get pillowcases and management only provided one. Was the first place I ever questioned the cleanliness of anywhere I stayed.

The property was poorly maintained and not as pictured. There was so many dead bugs around the window seals and inside. There was spider webs everywhere as well. Will not recommend staying there nor will we ever go back.

Beautiful place, very clean and definitely cozy. The host was responsive and cared about our comfortably. Area is peaceful. Love it. We will be back to visit.

Cool cabin, nice mellow location.

When we were searching for a cabin in Big Bear, we came across Boulder Bay. The photos looked cute, and the location was great. This is the second property I have stayed at that is managed by Evolve, and both homes were in the same condition. I believe that with a little maintenance, paint, love and care, both homes could be fabulous places to stay.However, I’m not sure if the unit was actually cleaned before our arrival. There was dirt and dust everywhere. I understand that it's in the mountains, making it difficult to keep the place spotless, but it seemed like the unit had not been properly cleaned. There was trash in the bathroom, wrappers left in the shower, and the shower itself was not cleaned. Additionally, there was food on the chairs, no clean sponge provided, no soap for hand washing or dishwashing, and only three towels in the bathroom.The heating was only provided by floor heaters and a fireplace. Everything appeared dirty. It was unfortunate because the home is charming and the location is excellent, but it was uncomfortable to stay there.

The location of the property near Boulder Bay was great for our paddle boarding agenda. The property itself was not clean and needs maintenance. The outdoor furniture was unusable due to being covered with dirt. I reached out to the contact but, it was not addressed during the stay. The cabin was set up for winter with heavy blankets and flannel pillow cases but it was in the high 80s. Bathroom was dirty, some dishes were dirty, and the kitchen lacked basics like salt. On the plus, our 3 year old loved all the kids books. Maybe I could have continued to complain and some of these things would have been addressed but, I would rather spend time with the family like I intended.

The place was very nice and comfortable. I guess it was a little warm when we got there in the evening and it took a while to figure out the AC unit behind the front door, but we were able to cool the place down before going to sleep. The TV was easy to control. There were lots of board games to play. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bathroom had everything we needed too. In general, the place was clean, yet a little grimy in the corners with cobwebs hanging around. A little more attention to the cleaning details could be made.

Property was smaller than expected. Some kitchen outlits didn't work. Room heaters did the job pretty well. Very close to everything and kids were happy playing in the back with snow. Bring a lighter for fireplace and slippers for walking around inside. It was ok for our last minute trip.

Great property with a great location! Equal distance to Big Bear and Snow Summit (18-20min) making it perfect to take in both locations.

I was unable to reach the area I booked due to recent state of emergency for the weather at Big Bear. I contacted the owner and the customer service rep and it seems they’re both passing to the other regarding my refund. I don’t mind booking for another date if possible in place of this booking. But the customer service is so poor, that option was never even offered. I just would like my refund

We had a great time in this lovely home despite the blizzard conditions. There’s no central heating but the space heaters and blankets kept us warm throughout the night. Thank you Alina
