Such a special stay! This beautifully preserved cabin is full of charm and character, set on a gorgeous property with peaceful countryside views. Everything was spotless, the hot tub was a perfect bonus, and the location couldn't be better--just minutes from great hikes, the Shenandoah River, and all the gems in downtown Luray.Annettte was a fantastic host--responsive, helpful and thoughtful throughout our stay. We'd absolutely come back and highly recommend!

We loved this house. We brought most things we needed and kitchen had a crock pot which i was super excited about. With the changing weather, there seemed to be a few flies staying with us. Not a big dead, got some fly tape and didn't skip a beat. Would love to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Luray Cabin. It was incredibly cozy and comfortable, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The cabin was very well appointed with everything we needed, and the location was extremely convenient for exploring the area. Everything was clean, thoughtfully set up, and easy to settle into. We would absolutely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful view. Annette responded quickly to any questions I had. The driveway was a little tricky for me though. Driving a super cab long bed 350 made it so i couldn't back into the driveway, and due to it being snowy, i did have to use 4H to backout of the driveway. Otherwise, the cabin was very clean and spacious. There were plenty of plates, silverware, pots, pans etc... in case you need them.

Please Beware of the owner of this property Annette!!! Upon arriving at the property I urge you to take pictures of everything that is broken , dirty, or in desperate need of repair. We had to re-wash dirty dishes, clean up dead bugs and cat toys left behind. We didn't complain about the condition or cleanliness of the property, and just chalked it up to being a rustic cabin. We enjoyed Luray during our stay regardless. Upon checking out we stripped the beds, emptied the dishwasher, and started the laundry as asked, all while questioning the high cleaning and host fees. On the drive home, I received an email stating that my credit card was being charged 300.0or damage to the cabin. Annette blamed us for her door knob on the front door being broken. She started her email by saying ( What did you do to my door!!! ) I was confused because we only ever used the door closest to parking with the lock box, and that was the rear door. It turned out that Annette charged my credit card without even going to the property herself. Her cleaner told her that her door knob was broken. After Annette went to check, it was just a loose screw causing the knob to hang off. Again we never had a reason to use that door. I literally spent hours later that evening having to make repeated phone calls to VRBO to get my credit card refunded. Annette admitted it was just a misunderstanding to the associate during the final 3 way call. Took 15 days for my refund. Never again!!!

Cabin had character and had everything you needed. Beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed hearing the Rooster crowing across the road every morning when I was outside drinking coffee. Luray is a good central location close to Skyline Drive and less than hours drive to Belle Grove Plantiion, Monticello, and Civill War battles. We hit the peak of the Fall Folige so all our drives were wonderful.

Was a nice, renovated cabin with addition. Necessities were clean, but lots of cobwebs on fixtures/high areas. Very limited communication with the owner but check in we had no issues and I am not a needy person. Bring a techie to navigate 2-3 remotes for the TVs & satellite with no printed instructions. Wasn't there to watch TV, but ya know. Never used the hot tub but looked clean. You are very close to road & morning traffic (not secluded location). Neighbors just across the road. No regrets and good venue for about 5 people max in my opinion.

This was a beautiful cabin with a touch of luxury. Little things like the garden tub, the furniture and the deco were just a bonus. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, pots and pans. We enjoyed our stay as it was secluded but also 10 minutes from Wal Mart and Food Lion. The king bed was so comfortable. This was a quiet and easy to get to the property. We enjoyed walking our dogs down the road that connects to neighboring property. It may be a secluded property, but there are alot of things/activities to do all within 5 to 20 minutes of this property. Our only issues we had were the entrance door is pretty much see through glass and nothing covering for privacy there is also a lack of outside lighting in the parking area. The owner does have solar lights around the rear entrance, but they just weren't working when we arrived. The leaves and walnuts were everywhere and that is nothing anyone can control as that is just the fall foliage. We do plan on coming back to this property for a longer stay because we enjoyed the relaxation, atmosphere and tranquility. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin!!

We had two teens, their parents, a set of grandparents, and 2 dogs. The house was versitile enough that we could find great sleeping arrangements and a variety of things to do for fun right at the house. It was awesome to have fishing spots so close. The location was great for us too; close to some touristy things but great spots to hike and bike were very close as well. The host was amazing and even though the dryer did not work in our arrival she came up with alternatives for us. Stuff happens so it wasn’t her fault but her willingness to go the extra mile was appreciated! A great house for a family that wants to come and go throughout the day and have a good place to eat meals together at night. It’s a good house!

This property was absolutely stunning, it was in an amazing location. So quiet peaceful and relaxing, beautiful inside and out with plenty of space for families. As well being mobility challenged the property if fully wheelchair accessible. I am in a larger chair than most and had no issues getting into and around the property it was absolutely an amazing place. The hosts were very helpful and answered any questions quickly and provided all and more info then requested. I highly recommend staying here or at any of the properties the host provides. We will be booking again and planning to take other day with us next time. You will not be disappointed when staying here and will likely fall in love with the cabin the moment you go inside as we did...

The cabin is very nice. Spacious, pretty, inviting. Main bathroom is heavenly. 3 beds; 4 couches. Lots to do in the area, especially for nature lovers! Some things worth noting: 1. The front door is 10-15 feet from a road. (You enter from the back door). The front of the house contains the master suite and the only other bedroom upstairs. You can hear every car drive by while you are in bed. 2. There is a pond on property for fishing. However, there is only about a 4-foot piece of land, on an incline, where you can cast out. The rest of the pond is surrounded by trees and bushes, aside from one open area but the water is filled with lilypads. The check-in email mentioned river fishing, but in one spot it says to call, in another it mentions a fee, and in another it says it's free. No one answered when we called the number. 3. The check-in info is very long and unorganized. It can be confusing and difficult to find relevant info. 4. Wood is provided but bring starter logs & fluid if you want a fire. No kindling is provided (email states this); we hunted some down but it was wet due to rain. Never got our fire going, sadly. 5. You will be charged a cleaning fee, service fee, and host fee, but asked to strip beds, wash towels & dishes, and leave a tip for cleaning staff. We always clean up after ourselves so that's fine, but keep that in mind as it may feel a bit like overkill. Overall, a nice place, but some things could be better conveyed. We enjoyed our short stay.

The area is gorgeous but the house itself was dark and dingy. The pics of the property are misleading and the 3 extra fees ,that I must have overlooked, brought the price of the rental a lot higher. In my opinion is was not worth it after those extra charges . It would have been just a ok stay if the price posted was the price I paid.

It was a peaceful stay. It was spacious for me and my family. The cabin was very clean but in the pullout couch there was some dog in the mattress and sheets fur from previous person stay. Other than that it was a nice house. There was no lake that we seen and walked through but overall the stay was excellent. It was great and private and peaceful stay. Property was very nice, clean. A little off the beaten path but not bad. The reason for the four star rating was the length of the check in and out instructions- literally PAGES of instructions, then part of the info was wrong. Ex: the list of restaurants- one was highly recommended has been CLOSED for years according to the locals. Please update your check in instructions and try to limit the info to what is pertinent.
