Stayed May 20, 2026The most relaxing and peaceful place we have ever stayed. Wildlife visible all during the day. The pictures do not do this place justice---you have to experience it yourself. Renee and Mike were great hosts and took care of us. Grand Lake is a wonderful little town with many pet friendly restaurants that have good food and great service. Take a picnic with you and go to Monarch Lake (CR 6) and spend the day. Beautiful scenery with lots of trails to hike, fishing, and kayaking. We ventured out every day and were home by 3 or 4 because everything is right there and spent the rest of the evening enjoying the house and pond. We would love to visit again.

Stayed Oct 4, 2025This cabin is absolutely beautiful and the location is equally beautiful! Cabin was extremely well-kept and clean. Very spacious and had more than enough space for our family of 4. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was modern with everything we needed. Outside space and view from the cabin is amazing! We enjoyed grilling out, making s’mores on the fire table and just relaxing by the pond. Our host Renee was great and very responsive to any questions that we had. She even brought us sticks for making s’mores!! We had an awesome time and would definitely stay again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Stayed Oct 1, 2025This property is amazing! The view is breathtaking, and even when we weren't out and about on an adventure in the area, we came back to the rental and still felt like we were out on a wilderness adventure from the comfort of home base. Watching wildlife, eating meals out on the patio, the close proximity to town, and relaxing in the general atmosphere were our favorite parts about our stay. It was great for our pup, although he was worried about the bear that showed up every night. It was certainly a wild time! From moose, to deer, to ducks, chipmunks, squirrels, bugling elk, and roaming bears we definitely knew that we were right in the middle of nature! Almost like camping out in the park. Renee was warm, friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and great about communicating. She and her husband, Mike, live right up the driveway with their adorable pup if you are in need of any assistance. The cabin is the best mix of rustic charm and modern convenience. My only trouble was that the wood burning fireplace had been used by the previous occupants and kicked up my asthma immediately. I aired out the cabin when we got there though, and it did help for the remainder of our time to open windows in the daytime whenever we were at the cabin. Ultimately, we truly enjoyed our stay. So much so, that we didn't feel the need to be out and about as much because the beauty of RMNP was at our back door! Thank you, Mike and Renee, for this amazing opportunity!

Stayed Sep 24, 2025Owners were very responsive. Property provided everything we needed to grill and cook every meal in our 7 night stay. We enjoyed watching a moose cross the back side of the pond, ducks swimming, and deer munching on flowers. We heard elk bugeling at night. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and also relaxing by the fireplce after long hikes in the park. The proximity to the park made it easy to enter and had to worry about timed entry only twice. Grand Lake is a cute town and very close, but we hiked 6 days in a row instead. Would stay again next time we visit RMNP!

Stayed Jul 6, 2025We have been renting cabins in the Grand Lake area since 1979 and Renee’s place is the best ever!!! The view overlooking a small pond was super fun with ducks and muskrats and on one day, a bear taking a bath on the other side. Location is super easy access to RMNP, Grand Lake and beyond. Ranch-style home is super nice, it had all the amenities we needed, and the fun part, everything was nice and everything worked.

The house is very dog friendly. The owner is gracious, and the whole process was easy. Lily Pond is tranquil and serene. We were visited by moose and deer several mornings, and we could spot elk, eagles, owls, ducks, and a Kingfisher. We will come back!

Stayed May 13, 2025What a wonderful stay at a wonderful house! Beautiful private property overlooking a peaceful pond where moose visited our backyard almost every afternoon. The house was very clean and spacious and well stocked with every amenity needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in the evenings. The house was very conveniently located, a short drive to RMNP and downtown Grand Lake. Owners Renee and Mike were across the road and quickly responded to anything we needed. Would definitely want to stay here again if we ever return to Grand Lake!

Stayed Dec 29, 2024My husband and I enjoy planning a trip every few years for the week after Christmas. We like to spend a week watching it snow while sitting in front of a fireplace or taking snowy walks with our two golden retrievers. This was the perfect location for this.

Stayed Dec 23, 2024Our family of six had a wonderful holiday stay. We couldn't have asked for a better location: next to a snow-covered pond outside Rocky Mountain National Park. The home was spacious, and the kitchen was well-appointed. Communication with Renee was a breeze, and she gave us a quick tour when we arrived.

Stayed Oct 13, 2024A 3-minute drive to RMNP entrance, this place was a gem. Lovely, secluded, everything you could need and want. Lovely patio for morning coffee watching the pond. Comfortable beds and two bathrooms, everybody had a lovely space. The park boundary is right next to the cabin, making it even more amazing. The hosts were gracious and welcoming and truly thought of everything. It’s rustic and modern all at once—perfect. If you are planning a trip to the Grand Lake side of the park look no further!

Stayed Sep 29, 2024We stayed here for 5 nights in early October to celebrate our wedding anniversary and explore RMNP. I've been very happy with all the VRBO's we've rented, but this one was outstanding! Renee was a perfect hostess, lives adjacent to the property, and easily helped me fix a blunder I'd made when booking. The house itself is very comfortable and seems to hold tons of good memories. The decorations fit the house perfectly with so many personal touches such as handmade pillowcases. The beds were made up just right, and there was even a fresh flower bouquet on the dining table. Kitchen is very well stocked with just about anything you could need to prepare meals. Mountain Market is very close and had a great selection for groceries. While this place has excellent access to RMNP (west entrance gate & visitor center is just around the corner, and the park border is literally steps from the back deck), we honestly enjoyed the view through the picture windows from the comfy couch in the living room as much as anything in the park. It was so relaxing to watch the ducks and muskrat in the gorgeous lily pond with the golden aspen leaves reflected in the pond. Coyote Valley Trail on west side of RMNP is a nice, nearby easy/accessible walk with nice sunset views and wildlife viewing in the evening. We spotted a herd of elk! Nice hiking in Bear Lakes area, about 1.5 hour drive over the mountains, a fun drive. We hope to return for another stay!

The view of the pond was great for relaxing and reading a book while spotting ducks, muskrats and water birds. An easy drive to the town of Grand Lake but gives you a little extra quiet.
