Beautiful Romantic River front cabin with mountain views,fantastic location!

We did increase the temperature of the hot tub to 100. The cabin was delightful

This a beautiful place to stay, very clean, comfortable and relaxing (the sound of the river helps a lot). The owner are very nice and respond very quick to any questions and the property its well located, close to different places to visit.I will definitely try to book this place again in the near future.

Enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and being by the river. Cabins are close to each other…wish there was a tad more privacy.

We had a great time at this cabin, we was looking for a quiet place to relax. This was definitely a great location but not far from the main road. Right beside the river was awesome and the place was clean and had the accessories that we needed. Will definitely be planning a trip back!

We have stayed here before and will do so again. Great location, close to attractions but far enough away for peace and quiet.

Absolutely loved the location, the river was just steps from the cabin. The cabin was nice, just right for two people and a dog, although there is a loft too. I had expected an oven in the kitchen. The shower was okay, but pretty tight for an adult. I would stay there again, and recommend it to my friends, but would plan better as to cooking meals that didn't require an oven.

My wife and I recently stayed here with our two kids, ages 3 & 5. The communication with the property owners was fantastic and they were extremely helpful. We messed up and forgot to secure new linens in advance and they graciously dropped them off after we arrived. The cabin was cozy and we all enjoyed the river, fire pit, and everything Luray had to offer!

We loved the Gander Cabin! Check in was easy and everything was set up great. The only issue we had (which was very minor) is we couldn’t figure out how to turn the hot tub up higher than 96. Some recommendations… bring a pillow, they have some, just very flat, and be warned that the shower is very tiny, but works well! Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Peaceful, quiet location, close to town. Cabin lighting could use some upgrades, and brush clearing to get a better view of the water is recommended. By a lovely little cabin.

The location and attractions are great. The cabin was quaint, clean and simply charming. The shower was the only challenging part, as it was small and difficult to use. Overall very enjoyable.

It was my wife and I 10 year wedding anniversary and wanted a weekend away. It was super close to Shenandoah National Park. It’s was secluded enough to have quality time together and the hot tub was therapeutic after our adventurous hike up Old Rag Mountain. We hope that in the future we can bring our two youngest kids here for the river that runs along the back of the cabin plus the spacious field next to it for some outdoor activities.

We really enjoyed the cabin on the water and its proximity to our favorite spots nearby.

We had a little hiccup with the check-in process, but we were able to get in contact with the owner immediately and everything was worked out! I definitely recommend this place and would come back!

Absolutely beautiful area, and the cabin was fantastic. There were a few snafus but the communication with the owners was seamless. The hot tub was wonderful to just sit and relax while taking in the snow covered landscape. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

We loved our time at the cabin

Despite the first snow of the season we enjoyed our time at the Gander. We did manage to hike and enjoy the area's restaurants as well as just relaxing which was our intended goal. We would like to return during warmer weather to enjoy all of what this cabin offers.

Beautiful cabin. Loved to watch the fire in the bedroom at night. It's impossible to beat the sunsets that close to the Blue Ridge.

We spent a wonderful time here!! We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. It was cold but the cabin stayed nice and warm. Our pup loved running around the yard. It was a great and quiet place to unplug. We didn’t even hear our neighbors. Highly recommend!

The cabin was perfect for our Thanksgiving trip! We enjoyed the hot tub-clean- and the fire pit. The location by the river was very relaxing but close enough to Luray. Luray is a nice little town. We enjoyed a massage at The Wright Touch and delicious Mexican food.

We had a wonderful time visiting for our wedding anniversary vacation. Each year we try a new place and this by far has been the best one! Perfect place to disconnect, regroup & re-energize! We will definitely visit again!

The property was exactly as pictured! Such a nice and cozy cabin. Very close to Shenandoah National Park and the Luray Caverns. We enjoyed the hot tub after long days hiking and exploring the area. Great experience for my first time visiting a national park!

This place was great! Enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning drinking coffee and listening to the river and wildlife. Hot tub for the win!

With a 5 and 6 year old there was plenty to do. The river was closeby and allowed us to hike IN the river or fish down at the boat ramp. Wildlife such as groundhogs, rabbits, deer, woodpeckers, golden finch, and bald eagles, can be seen from the deck each morning. The location fit all of our needs. Minutes to either mountain range and other attractions. AND if you forgot something at home, you are able to go to the shopping center down the street. Most importantly, the property owners are approachable and understanding of your needs. Highly recommend staying at this location.

Our stay was fantastic! Everything felt smooth and clean. It's nice being close to some restaurants and stores as well while still feeling like you're away from the big city.

This home was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was at the cabin allowing us to recharge. We were so close to Luray and Shenandoah National Park that if you wanted to get out and do something you could. We absolutely loved it and can see ourselves coming back in the future!

Charming cabin inside and out. Of course we were out exploring the area all day but loved sitting on the deck with a nightcap and our morning coffee. There were a couple of deer snacking on berry bushes. We couldn’t see the water tho through the bushes. We Could hear it tho!

We stayed in this beautiful little cabin with our pupper. We felt right at home. Had no issues during our stay however, the property owner is easily accessible. 10/10 recommend!
