Beautiful River Front Cabin with Mountain views

The cabin was cozy and clean. We had a problem finding the remote to operate the tv and Lisa went right out picked up a new one, came and set it up. The location is fantastic out away from the craziness right on the beautiful river, great place to walk and see nature. But we were only 5-10 minutes away from everything.

My family enjoyed staying at the property. The location was perfect to go to luray caverns, Main St, Shenandoah park. Everything what states on the description of the property is right. The house was clean, comfortable to stay in, the beds are comfortable, the view is beautiful. The hosts are quick to reply and it was a pleasure to communicate with them. This was our first time staying in the cabins and we will repeat again!

Spent a couple days here while hiking in the Shenandoah! Great place for a couple. Clean quiet & spacious! Host was very helpful. Definitely enjoyed the hot tub on cool nights.

Mother Goose was a good one! Plan on bringing linens, towels, and water shoes to jump in the river. 10 minutes to Luray Caverns and the downtown area of Luray. Would definitely stay here again.

Easy to get to, awesome location on the river and very quiet. The sound of the water flowing by was very relaxing. This place is very well setup and comforortable for a small family or group, The kitchen and living area was great. and with the deck and hot tub right there made it very relaxing.

Great location and very private!

This was our third visit to the Luray area within the past 5 years and this was our favorite place. We loved our stay at the cabin and we plan on coming back! As soon as we walked in my youngest said the place was beautiful and I agree. Everything was exactly as described. Appliances and furniture were all newer and well maintained and the cabin was clean upon arrival. The washer and dryer were a definite plus! We felt tucked away from town but were also only 5 minutes from the Walmart and Food Lion if we needed anything. At the cabin, we took advantage of the river access and swimming, enjoyed relaxing by the fire or in the hot tub, and even had a movie night since the WiFi was strong. We cooked all of our meals either inside or on the outdoor grill. For excursions, we did rafting at Shenandoah River Outfitters (about 20 minutes away) and we also walked Alpacas at Point of View Alpaca Farm. It’s about an hour away but well worth it! We’ll be back again soon and plan to say a full week next time!

The cabin and view was absolutely stunning! Kitchen was well stocked with everything u would need to make a gourmet dinner!

Cute cabin in a quiet location. The sounds of the river can be heard from the deck. The cabin is quiet but still close to local attractions. The kids loved the loft bedroom upstairs. we will definitely be back.

My sister and I really enjoyed the cabin. It was beautiful and all the furniture was comfortable!! The views were the best part. Being able to hear the creek below as we sat on the deck was amazing! The cabin is really located in such a great place, easily accessible to a lot of tourist places!! Loved it here!!

We all enjoyed our comfortable accommodations. Our view from the cabin was absolutely beautiful and peaceful! The hot tub was very relaxing after a busy and fun day experiencing the attractions in Luray. We enjoyed eating smores around the fire pit. It was a beautiful and awesome trip!! Highly recommend the Mother Goose Cabin of the Gander Island Cabins!

We loved staying next to the river and the hot tub was a bonus. Very quiet and comfortable.

This is a cute cabin with great views and we did not want to leave! From the comfortable couch and beds, hot tub, proximity to activities, views, and overall welcoming atmosphere, I’d definitely stay here again! This time was for an adult friends trip, but next time I’d like to bring my children. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful clean home that brought great joy and fun to us on Christmas. We baked cookies for Santa, relaxed in the hot tub, roasted goodies and went to Bryce Ski resort for tubing on Christmas Day. Beautiful home provided everything I needed to make a lovely Christmas dinner. Hosts were wonderful to work with!

Everything was wonderful. This is the second time we have stayed on the property and haven’t been disappointed yet. The only complaint was the jets for the hot tub were not working. The temperature and circulation were great. We will absolutely return in the future.

This lodge is absolutely amazing! Wife and I needed a get away and this was it. From the amazing interior to being able to sit in the hot tub and hear the babbling brook. 100000% will stay here again! Thank you so much!

I loved staying here and will definitely come back. The property was clean, modern, well-taken care of, and cozy. The hot tub was high quality. The location was great. The open windows of the back face the river so there is lots of privacy. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Loved it!

The cabin was in an excellent location to the town of Luray and the great hiking areas of the Shenandoah Park. The cabin was very clean and all amenities were provided. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely rent the cabin again !!!

What a great trip! My mom, sister and I took this as our girls get away to see the beautiful fall colors and we were not disappointed. We utilized the hot tub every morning and night. We will definitely book again!

Nice location, very private. Well appointed cabin with a hot tub on the deck overlooking the river. Hosts are very gracious & had it set up well. But dont forget your towels & sheets! No worries there if you do(like we did..lol)! Walmart is 10-15 mins away!

Charming, spacious very relaxing place to unwind. Far enough to feel away from any hustle bustle. Close enough to Luray to make amenities at hand in a few minutes. Really lovely town, we found everyone engaging and quick to smile. Views of splendor everywhere and are enjoyed best from the hot tub on the deck. Definitely take the time to check out Massanutten Country Corner

Gander Lodge was perfect for our short stay. Close to Luray Caverns and Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. We enjoyed the views, hot tub and accommodations in the cabin. Would definitely stay again!!
