Our experience at the Sun Rise Cabin property was excellent. From the spacious, well appointed house with the 2 large baths and loft area to the nice benches at the fire ring on the lake, it was a great stay. Communications with the property manager were excellent as well. We definitely recommend staying here!
1 bedroom ended up having bed bugs. The 2 adults sleeping in that bed ended up with many bites. Both found out they are allergic to bed bugs and ended up getting prescription drugs to help with pain and itching. The owner was very fast to correct the problem. Much appreciated.
A very beautiful place, it’s clean and has everything you need. Also is a nice lake, the fishing was fun.
Upon entering the home you feel at home. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. My brother and I along with our families enjoyed a week of fun in the sun. The beach area is clean and allowed my niece to build rock towers. The pier was excellent as we docked our pontoon rental for the week, and the shallow beach area of the lake was not far from the cabin, which gave another niece the opportunity to use her sup board to join the rest of the family at the sandbar. Pickerel lake had several, restaurants and bars on the lake. The Pickerel area had many great food establishments to enjoy. Our overall experience was great! Kris checked in on us to see if we had any problems. Would definitely recommend this to any family. Lots of room, fun, and sun in the lake!
Very clean and quiet. Even though it was quite weedy, we had a boat and were able to tube and enjoy the beach at pickerel point.
First time at this amazing Cabin. Pictures do not due it Justice. Cabin was great size but still cozy. Gorgeous fireplace with picturesque views of the lake from every angle from the great room and loft. Communication with owner was excellent. Went at end of season the surroundings were full of beautiful fall colors and there was plenty of wildlife. Was able to see chipmunks, deer and the bald Eagles and fish swimming around the dock. Will definitely try and make this a yearly destination.
Very cute spacious cabin. Our 2nd time there. Caught a few fish, played some games, watched movies and lots of naps. UTV'd as well. Had a great time. Will probably go back!
My family's stay at this cottage was very nice. Very comfortable place. We had alot of fun fishing. We caught perch, crappy, bluegill, northern. Nothing you could keep but fun. A lot of cottages had steep steps, this cottage did not which I like. The view from the cottage of the lake is beautiful. Lovely deck to enjoy looking at the beautiful stars at night. I wish the lake wasn't so weedy. Wasn't good for swimming by dock and lake for my granddaughter. I big wish that this cottage had Wi-Fi. We couldn't do much on our phones especially if we had an emergency with family to get a hold of us. I still rate this a 5.
Very neat, clean, lovely cabin.
Had a great time at this property. Property provides great views, is well maintained, and provided us with more amenities than we could expect. Great lake access, fishing, tubing, etc. Host provided great communication and was quick to answer any questions.
Overall we were very pleased, the only issue we encountered was the area around the fire pit, very unlevel ground which was a concern that someone could get injured, also there wasn’t any wood chopped up for fires. We had to chop our own wood and if your older and handicapped like us it wasn’t an easy job. But overall it was a very nice getaway.
