My kids loved the animals there. However, I felt misled as I was told there were two queen size beds but there was only one. It was really a property for a couple or two people instead of a family of four. There was wear and tear on the amenities and the faucet of the kitchen sink was not in good condition and spilled water everywhere. I understand you got what you paid for but I expected two queen size beds and at least a well-maintained environment. I would not recommend this property for any party over two people.

We liked the cats that roamed the property and petting them. We enjoyed walking thru the woods at the end of the property and looking at the farm animals. We hoped to get some goat cheese but learned they have that seasonally. Hearing the sounds of nature and livestock was really cool, we liked to hear the goats, donkey, roosters and I think it was a really unique bird or small mammal chirp in the trees. Also enjoyed hearing a big rainstorm and wind thru the trees. We needed more blankets and they provided some. The only negative was one pillow looked super old and needed replacing.

This has been my best vacation to date. I came with just my dogs to enjoy some nature this weekend and was pleasantly surprised to find chickens, turkeys, cats, sheep, goats, pigs, a cow horse A a Donkey are living on property and they're all so friendly! I enjoyed just hanging out with the animals every day, and Walter was so friendly and accommodating. The other people on the Ranch were also super friendly, and me and my dogs LOVED seeing Double Tree and walking the trails, as well as Lake Livingston which are about 30-40 mins away. I definitely will be coming back to see my animal friends in the future! ❤️❤️❤️

This was not some expensive getaway. No fancy coffees to greet you in the morning. No gold plated faucets. Just a simple clean place in a beautiful area north of Houston. Great for families with littles. They will love the animals. Great place to stay for fishing or boating due to the location of some awesome lakes. Plus the owners are great people.

Definitely will be back to Cedar place. Quiet and peaceful. A very clean place and comfy beds! Walter and his family have been such great hosts! Thank you for everything.
