Bears Rest - Authentic Mountain Experience

I loved Bears Rest cabin with exception of hot tub not working well there were 2 jet settings only 1 worked and lights in hot tub did not work. Other than not being able to get relaxed in hot tub the cabin was really nice bed was comfortable AC worked good water pressure for shower was good but extremely little water pressure for bathroom sink. Overall I would definitely stay in Bears Rest cabin again.

Was disappointed that the fire place was not available for use. Overall enjoyed our stay.

No wifi or TV for 2 nights. Called for help but got none. Heating vents were filled with crap and the exterior walkway lights were broken

Quiet and close location to Unicoi State Park and the town of Helen. Clean cabin. The hot tub was a nice touch, we just couldn't get the light to come on. We enjoyed our stay!

Everything was perfect other than the hot tub not reaching over 99 degrees and the temperature of the water in the shower being less than satisfactory.

It was dirty. Asked them to clean again and they were responsive, but even after second clean still dirty :( We left entire day early!

Simple but beautiful and relaxing. We went for my husbands birthday weekend for a relaxing time. It was wonderful, cannot wait to go back!

The cabin overall was nice and comfortable. The only issue we had was that the tv did not work. It was replaced the day after I called. The hot tub was used once , but the clean filter/change water alert was on. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. We purchased firewood so we could enjoy a fire in the evening. We were close to a few parks, so we enjoyed hiking to see a couple of waterfalls and we went zip lining. The alpine town of Helen was close and very interesting to visit. We enjoyed walking around the town and experiencing the mountain coaster ride.

Everything was clean and it's close to Helen and Unicoi State Park. My only suggestions are that the mattress in the bedroom could stand to be replaced/updated, and it would be nice to have some curtains or blinds for privacy at the back door.

Enjoyed the peace and quiet of being away from downtown but still close enough to get to anything quickly.

Overall really liked the area of the cabin. Was clean as far as countertops bathroom but deep clean it wasnt. Had a bad oder to it as soon as you walk in. Lots of spiderwebs all over. I know its in the woods but could have been way better as far as that goes.

It’s an adorable property, clean, and the process of booking was painless, quick, and Sherry was on top of emails and calls. We were celebrating our honeymoon and even had a cute bottle of Prosecco and some silk pillowcases that was such a sweet gesture! There was also WiFi in the cabin which was an added bonus. We didn’t have any issues with our stay but Sherry still followed up with a courtesy call to make sure we were comfortable and to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be renting from Georgia Mountain Rentals again! We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Sherry and team! We appreciate it!
