Stayed Dec 28, 2023Took my 3 teenage boys to this cabin for a quick ski trip. Cabin was perfect for us. My boys enjoyed the old school arcade game like the ones dad used to play in ancient times. Beds were comfy, cabin was clean. Hot tub was a perfect spot go relax sore muscles after a fun day. Would definitely recommend and will keep in mind for future trips

Stayed Feb 20, 2023My daughter and I stayed at the Bear Cub Cabin for a short ski getaway. The cabin was just as described. Rustic, charming and simple. Nothing fancy, but that wasn't expected. The cabin was very clean and stocked with most everything we needed. The hot tub is GREAT, with lots of jets and located right off the back door. Bring your own towels for the hot tub and some wood for the fireplace. Location is near perfect in Moonridge and close to Bear Mountain and golf course. Parking is up a small hill with room for two cars max and no street parking. Ideal for a small family... one couple and three kids max.

Stayed Feb 9, 2023Clean, maintained, quite. 9/10 would stay there again. Only critique would be for the front and rear walk path to be better cleared of ice. A bit dangerous walking the steps or going out the back door to the jacuzzi. Ice melt over the gutters onto the steps.

Stayed Dec 18, 2021We had a great time at this cabin, we went during the winter so the kids could experience the snow. The cabin is beautiful and the kids loved the arcade, we also loved the jacuzzi. It’s a perfect location right by the zoo. The beds were comfortable and had lots of cozy blankets. The cabin had fun family games and was spacious with a large dining table, kitchen bar and a large coffee table so there was ample room to play and have fun. They provided sleds that we used on a perfect hill one block past the Big 5 store you can see it from the main road.. The front porch, front steps and chairs were covered in inches of hard ice as well as the picnic table so don’t expect to sit out there. Also the driveway is very steep and icey, we had no problem getting up it in our suv but I would make sure there is no traffic and get a good running start to go up it without hitting the gas too much. same thing going down, only go without hitting brakes with no traffic coming so you don’t slide. . A few things to note before you come: There were 4 towels so if you need more for jacuzzi + showering for your family… bring them. The cabin was cold when we got there at 4pm (we arrived at big bear at 11am but could not get early check in, had to wait) and the wall heater didn’t warm up the cabin fully until 9pm so I suggest purchasing wood at stater bros down the street and using the fire place. The cabin does not provide wood so grab some on your way in. Other things to bring - paper towels and sugar. There is a coffee machine and folgers in the cabinet (along with spices salt and pepper) we brought milk but needed sugar. They provide soap, shampoo, conditioner and a blow dryer that was very powerful. Overall we loved this cabin and will be back in the summer to stay for sure!
