Gardiner, Montana
This newly remodeled, comfortable and cozy 436 square foot cabin is located in the old mining town of Jardine. The cabin, along with our other three cabins, sits on just over 12 acres of property bordering national forest service land. Jardine is 5 - 6 miles up a county maintained dirt road from Gardiner, Montana - the original entrance to Yellowstone.
The old Jardine mine site is part of the beautiful and unique mountain view looking out the front, as well as being able to see and hear Bear Creek right across the street! There are also beautiful hiking trails just a short walk from the front door.
If you are looking for a mountain get-away to be able to escape from the crowds after a busy day of activity in the Park, then this is the perfect place for you!

Loved the beautiful scenery and how quiet it was. We could hear the stream that is across the road from the cabin. We had a small issue that was very satisfactorily handled once we were able to let them know. There is no telephone in the cabin and we didn't even have cell service unless we went into Gardiner. We loved being disconnected. We are looking forward to returning again.
Great views, comfortable beds, good selection of cookware and dishes, wifi was good and bad at times - but i wasn't there for the internet. we had a few minor issues, but the property manager dealt with them in a quick manor (within 10 minutes, staff drove up to assist and fully resolve). i would definitely stay again
This cabin had a lot of charm! We loved the rushing stream that was just down the hill. There were other cabins around, but was still very private. We did not use the kitchen, but the shower and beds were comfortable. The road getting to the property from Gardiner (about 5 miles) was a little bumpy, though.
Gorgeous new cabin, beautiful remote setting for a Yellowstone visit. We were given the wrong code for the lockbox and waited an hour in the rain to get in, had trouble reaching the host. Once in, loved the place. Two issues: amber lighting throughout made it difficult to see; couldn’t read in the living room. Needs a floor lamp or two. Bathrooms were beautiful but cold.
We loved the view from the property - Mammoth Springs and Electric Peak. It was especially fun having hiking trails and fishing right out our back door. We have a great stay.
We loved the location. The cabin was great, perfect for our journey. The multi level decks were a little rough in he dark and no washer and dryer as the amenities described. I would not let either of these stop me from staying again.
Lovely, small cabin suitable for 4 guests. Each of the 3 rooms (2 bedrooms and kitchen) had independent heating. Bathroom is in one bedroom; hot shower water smelled slightly sulfurous but it's Yellowstone. Cooking utensils adequate for nearly everything you'd want to make; BBQ actually worked! Set of 4 plates, bowls, etc. but enough wine glasses for a party...love that! Could have used salt/pepper/oil as basics so 1st night went without. Cleaning supplies were fine. Internet sketchy...actually didn't get it during our stay but neither did many of the locals so we didn't feel special. If you're interested in power viewing sights and wildlife in Yellowstone, leaving early and returning late, this place is located a bit off the path but you can avoid nearly everyone and retire to a quiet spot after a long day of sitting in bison jams.
The property was a little dirty, with dust bunnies on the floor. The hot water smelled very strongly of sulfur all 4 days of our stay. We had a roof leak over our son’s bed on the third night. The property listed a washer and dryer as amenities but the cabin does not have either. It was difficult to talk to the manager as the cabin did not have cell service or internet - the password we were given did not work. However, the cabin was peaceful and the river was very nice.
Good cabin for a family of four, saw lots of wildlife traveling to and from the cabin each day, and horse rides very close by for a family outing. For two couples, they are building some very nice larger cabins across the road, contact Aimee Johnson for information about these cabins.
This place is perfect for a small family or just 2 couples . Away from the tourist stuff and so quite and very clean. Will be back!
