Back Porch Lake View's on Lake Hamilton Main Channel, Family Friendly, Cozy Vibe

The house was very cute and we really enjoyed the stay. Just what we were needing and was great to unplug. I would just suggest maybe highlighting the fact it doesn't have an oven. Or possibly adding a toaster oven as the property has neither.

We had mixed feelings on our 3 night stay here so I will leave an honest review. We feel it was a 3 star stay but wanted to leave room for grace so left 4 stars. Pros: The outside of this property is wonderful! It has beautiful peaceful lake views. The pathway down to the lake, the dock, and the fireplace is exactly what you want when you stay at a place like this. We really enjoyed our time outside! Second, thehosts are great communicators. On check-in day, we quickly noticed a glaring cleaning issue and pointed it out to the host. They responded within minutes, and corrected the problem that day while we were out. We appreciated how prompt they were in taking care of it. Third, as the pictures suggest, the cabin is decorated in a very charming cottage style we enjoyed. Now for the cons: I find it baffling that we are the only guests who have mentioned the smell inside this cabin! There was an overpowering damp, mildew smell in the cabin that we never got used to. I’m sure due to age and window units but it could and should be corrected. Second, The cleanliness of the screened in porch area was very disappointing. The furniture on the porch was dusty/dirty, we had to wipe it all down and it still felt dirty so we sat in the plastic chairs meant for outside after wiping down. The camera in the corner inside the screened-in porch is off-putting. Lastly, there were barely enough bathroom linens and we had to buy toilet paper, they left 1 roll. We won’t stay here again.

Wonderful cabin which was decorated so tastefully! It was situated nicely on the lake and was extremely clean and well cared for! We will definitely go back!

This property should be named Back Porch Oasis!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The back porch views provided a much needed get away from the daily stress of life! Every thing was wonderful. One thing that might be considered is putting a warning sign on the stone steps that lead into the water. My husband slipped on the mossy surface and took a scary fall. But overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay and hope to return again soon.

We had an awesome time. My daughter, her teenage son and daughter and I went for a nice quiet, relaxing weekend. We got what we wished for. Plenty of space to enjoy being in the water and the beautiful sunsets. Will recommend to friends. June 12th-14th 2026

Overall nice stay. Very cute cabin with nice screened porch. Bed wasn't very comfortable but loved the extra window AC. We never could access the wifi. Cute little place right on the water.

Looking for some down time from busy work schedule I found the “Green house.” It was simple in design and had everything I needed to accomplish my goal. Starting with a fabulous view across the Quachita River the only thing that broke the silence was the occasional hum of boaters down below. Ample wildlife like bald eagles and egrets viewed from the large screened porch was the perfect setting for relaxing or our morning breakfast! The bedrooms were small, but efficient with one master and a second with bunks. The only thing in the kitchen missing was an oven, but cook top and microwave and of course Kuerig coffee pot gave us all we needed.Easy access to a boat dock and lower outdoor fireplace we didn’t use, but added to the attraction of the charmingly decorated house. The remote location was within short driving distance of several restaurants in the area and opportunities for day tours. The place was perfect for us and will absolutely hope to stay here again.

Everything was thought of for a great stay! We had a great time on the dock soaking up sunshine. We dropped a fishing line a few times, didn’t catch anything but got a few nibbles right off the dock. We especially enjoyed an evening campfire, a luxury we don’t have at home! We chose to not cook any meals at the cabin and opted to go out for meals instead. We went to several of the places listed in the welcome binder, our favorite was fisherman’s wharf! Great place for a simple stay! Just what we were looking for

We went for our 49 anniversary and just enjoyed relaxing. We loved the back porch just enjoying the lake. We would definitely go again!

The lake house was very cozy and relaxing. It was very quiet and had everything we needed for the week. We especially enjoyed the boat dock and were able to catch some fish. The house is within reasonable driving distance to all of the local attractions and restaurants. The host was very friendly and quick with responses to all of our needs and questions. We would definitely go back again.

Pictures make cabin look bigger. Was very small and cramped. Floors creeked very loudly when walking on floors, waking sleeping person when other person got up in the middle of the night. Bed was very unconfortable, making our backs hurt. Was supposed to stay 3 nights, but after 1st night were able to check in to our next destination early. stayed 2 nights. House felt like an old cabin at a state park.

The property was just right for me. The view was as advertised. Great inside and out.

It was very cute & quaint. Not enough hot water to finish one persons shower just wish that had been better.

This was an idyllic property with all the essentials and spectacular natural beauty all around. The grounds were very clean, easy to get to town as needed. Prime location! Will be back!

Clean and cute! I spent all my time relaxing out on the screened in porch. You simply cannot beat the view. Note: There wasn't a moment that went by without boats driving very close to the dock all weekend, so if you wanted swim, that could be a problem. It didn't bother me at all, but worth mentioning if you wanted a chill swim area... this might not be the place (at least over the weekend).

From first sight we loved this cabin. It provided everything we needed and more for our stay and I hated we didn’t have more time to just spend there! It was close to everything we needed but also seemed private and secluded. I even enjoyed the drive in and out of it. The porch benches are sooo comfy and the view unmatched. The yard always so charming we just wanted to sit there and enjoy the air and sun. What a dream

What an amazing cabin direct into the water for swimming. The river was bath temperature warm - divine! We absolutely loved staying here and extended our booking. There is a fantastic mosquito proof porch area. Great air conditioning, reliable wifi and smart tv for Netflix etc. Would not hesitate to return. One thing to be aware of though - the river is very busy with noisy jet skis and boats all day Sat Sun so don’t expect a quiet weekend of swimming and sunbathing or reading on the porch but this place was perfect in every other way. Super quiet M-F. Magic location! Great place thank you

This cabin is so perfect! The inside has the sweetest antique touches blended with modern vibes—like stepping back into a simpler time but with all the comforts you need. The screened-in front porch is everything. I could sit out there all day with my coffee, soaking in the peace. the dock—it’s the dreamiest spot for lake jumping, sunset watching, or just letting life slow down for a bit. Will definitely be back!

We stayed here over Fourth of July weekend and we all had so much fun! Watching the fireworks over the lake was absolutely magical. The house is cozy, cute, and comfortable. The covered porch cannot be beat and the dock made swimming a blast! We roasted marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace and cooked most of our meals in the indoor kitchen, which had everything we needed. Try McClard’s BBQ and DeLuca’s Pizza while you’re in town!

Very cozy and had a great view. I loved the fire pit but it was too hot to make one. I’ll be back to use the pit in colder weather for sure!

The neighborhood was nice! The house was literally within probably 15 minutes of everywhere! The house is small but decorated so cute and it was so clean! They supplied dishes and utensils, towels, and it was all very nice! The real star of the show was the view of the lake! From morning to night the views are amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! The screened in porch was so wonderful as well! Communication with the owner was great as he was very responsive and helpful!

This little house was absolutely perfect for our trip. The swimming off of the dock was a favorite with the kids I'm so glad I went with the host's suggestion to have Rocky's pizza because it was the best. Definitely don't have pizza like that in Oklahoma City. The place has to have great insulation because there was one day that we didn't even turn the air conditioners on and the highs were in the '90s. If we come back to Hot Springs we will be staying here again.

Location was perfect lake view .. very accommodating

Our short 3 days stay was very relaxing! We enjoyed fishing off the dock and we did build a fire in the evening in the fireplace! The view was amazing from the screened in porch (which we loved!) and the location was great! We will be returning renters! Only issue we had was the keycode didn't work and we had to reachout to the owners. They did respond within 1 hour and came to reset it.

Great location, close to the things we wanted to do in Hot Springs. Loved relaxing on the back porch and looking over the lake. It’s an older house so it has the quirks and creaks That come with an older home. There was nowhere to eat and sit inside so we ate every meal on the back porch. It was not a problem with our weather, but I could see that potentially being uncomfortable in the middle of summer. It was perfect for our family for this vacation.

We really enjoyed our short stay here at this charming little cottage. It gave me total nostalgia of visiting my grandmother’s home as a child. Perfect for our little family of 4.

It felt secluded but close enough to the town and all activities. Property was beautiful, cabin was clean and being on the lake was great. The whole family enjoyed it.

This little cabin is nothing fancy, but it is was a relaxing place. The area is really quiet, and peaceful. We enjoyed it, not based on the cabin being anything luxurious. But it was well kept, and the area was nice. Reminded me of my nanas lake house growing up, it was perfect for me and my wife.

This cabin was just right for a quick little getaway. Quiet and cozy. The view of the lake from the living room and porch are perfect to drink coffee and enjoy the view. Communication/check-in/check-out with the owner was very good. Would definitely recommend for a couples getaway.

Nice and relaxing, however there are too many decorative items for a small place, more applicable stuff would be appreciated.

The Back Porch Cabin was a cozy and charming place with a lovely view. It was nicely appointed and comfortable. However, communication with the landlord could be improved. The shower water pressure was low and unfortunately not very warm, which was a drawback.

We had a great stay! It was exactly what we wanted for our weekend anniversary trip. The outside sitting area was wonderful and we enjoyed it.

It was the most beautiful 5 days I’ve spent out in Arkansas! The view from the house is what makes it just so magical. There’s so much out here if you like being active or just simply enjoy the peace and quiet. I enjoyed the full kitchen and being able to cook during our stay as well. I’d be back to stay for sure!
