The cabin is great for hikes and trips in the area. It offers access to two lakes and a swimming pool which is wonderful in summer days. We enjoyed staying there and recommend it!

check in was simple. The kitchen could use an updated stove. There is a portable ac in the kitchen, but because of the floor plan it takes a lot of effort to cool the whole house.Additional working fans would help with air circulation.Overall we had a good stay.

Was a cute place to stay at! Loved that they had kayaks and a grill for us to use. We used this as a place to stay while we was there on business and glad we got to enjoy it with the time we had! Definitely recommend!

We spent 4 nights at this rustic cabin near Gaylord, Michigan, and it was exactly what we were hoping for—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. The cabin had all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with, which made the experience smooth from start to finish. It’s a great spot to unplug, relax, and enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing comfort. If you're looking for a simple, serene getaway in northern Michigan, this cabin is a great choice.

What a great set up for a fun and relaxing excape into the north. The house/cabin is older but well maintained. The owner has made sure the house is well equipped with cooking equipment, board games, washer/dryer, towels, bedding and more. The retro items in the house were alsonfun to see. We loved that there were plugs and extension cords everywhere and the cords even had usb plugs in them. Wifi worked great. It only has two bed rooms but if you were meeting family who were staying at the state park or camping around the area then this would be a great place to host a gathering. It's tucked away in a subdivision that is surrounded by woods and three lakes, yet close to town and the state park. This house is set up perfect for privacy. Woods surround the sides and back of the house giving you privacy. It has a wrap around deck with chairs and tables set up to enjoy the solitude. Behind the house is a fire pit, chairs, hammock, lounge chair and firewood. Great set up. You are not on the lake but it is only a short walk or quick drive down the road to it. The community has a club house by the lakes that has a nice pool, pickle ball court, basketball ball cort, play ground and pavilion. The people we met living in the community were very nice. The owner was easy to communicate with and quick to respond to questions.

My wife and I stayed here with my parents. It’s in a great location if you’re planning to travel around to different areas of northern Michigan each day (Mackinac, Traverse City, etc.). Check in process and communication with owner were easy, and it was a nice area to walk around and see the lakes and woods. Overall a great value.

Nice little cabin nestled in the woods with a view of the lake. Very peaceful, very quiet, very comfortable. Has a very nice deck that wraps around 3/4 of the cabin which we didn't get to use as much as we would have liked as it was a cold Memorial Day weekend. Convenient location as there was much to see within an hours travel in any direction. We totally enjoyed our stay.

We rented this cabin to get away to a place that we could spend the weekend with my mother in law. It was utterly perfect. Lovely cabin with a fantastic deck, ample hanging out space inside with comfy furniture, a great kitchen with most everything you'd need. The great grandkids came and loved all the toys and games available to them. We will for sure be back!

We had a nice long weekend staying at this cabin. The cabin was comfortable and we appreciated the privacy from neighbors. We greatly enjoyed the outdoor community pool and playground. This was a great added benefit. I may have misread the listing and was a little disappointed that the cabin property did not have waterfront access. We were also looking forward to using the wood stove but weren’t able to. The cleanliness could have been better, there were quite a few cobwebs in the cabin and all the provided fans were very dirty. Overall we had a good visit but there were a few things that were a little disappointing.

The property was close to family that has a cabin on the lake. We enjoyed having our own space to be with family.

Stress-free family vacation. Not a very touristy area but that was just fine for us. Fishing and paddling on the lake was great. Wish there was more of a sandy beach area to play but that would be my only complaint. The house had everything and more that we needed. I really enjoyed the wrap around deck over looking the lake.
