Ashmoor Cabin - Ridgetop Setting - Trails on Property

Everything was good. Clean and comfortable. Very peaceful and quiet because it is away from everything. We will be back in a few weeks for another weekend.

The cabin was gorgeous, we enjoyed our stay! We never found the trails on the property, but the fire pit and hot tub were fantastic and very relaxing.

Property was very clean and had all the amenities you would need. While it is close to other cabins it’s still very remote and enjoyable! We had a great time and will be back sometime!

The property was beautiful. Inside was clean and neat. Limited cell service, which was wonderful! Outside was so peaceful and quiet, very little traffic. The hosts left us a personalized note, I thought that was so nice! Would highly recommend! Will stay again!

Our stay was perfect! We accidentally didnt book enough nights and Nick was so kind and understanding. He worked with us to get our stuff (we were an hour and a half away) and helped us find another place to stay.

I just LOVE this place. It’s peaceful, quiet, and very private. I love being in the woods. The fireplace works great and gives off a cozy cabin ambience. The space was perfect for having my sister and brother in law over for their 50th wedding anniversary. Shannon was wonderful to talk to when I had a question, and very friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

Hot tub was amazing and private, kitchen well equipped, the only problem was the teflon was chipping. Lots of nearby parks and activities to keep us entertained during our stay

This cabin was awesome. The cabin is up on the ridgetop and was very secluded and relaxing. Hot tub was just fabulous!! I came with a friend of mine and we had a great time hiking all day and then relaxing with a glass of wine and snacks in the evening. I would definitely stay again. This cabin is an incredible place to stay. I enjoyed the cleanliness and how well kept the property was. Really close to several trails. I will definitely be back.

Nick was great at responding quickly. The cabin was private and surrounded by lots of trees. We enjoyed using the hot tub and looking for wildlife.

Shannon and Nick made our check-in and stay easy and extremely pleasant. The instructions on the location and check-in were perfect and the property is exactly as described. Very clean and had everything we needed including coffee for our 1st morning.. Extra towels would be my only recommendation for improvement. Thank you Shannon and Nick! Beautiful cabin in such a peaceful area. We loved eating dinner on the deck and listening to the wildlife. Everything was wonderful.

This olace is cozy and comfortable. We all had a great time out on the deck and hanging out in the hot tub after long hiking days! We will be back!

Very nice cabin! My favorite was the nice hand written note we got from Nick and Shannon! Kids had a blast. It rained most of our trip but that was nice to juat hang in the cabin....hot tub was clean and felt amazing. Will be staying again.

This property was a perfect place to stay while my group of 4 visited the area. The cabin was a good size, was filled with all the essentials we needed for our time there, and Nick was extremely helpful and attentive to answer questions we had. Check in and out for easy, and the hot-tub/outdoor area was an amazing space to wind down each evening. Located about 25 minutes from Hocking Hills State Park, it was the perfect place for us to stay to explore the trails.

We had a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back! We were looking for a quiet place to escape the world for a few days and your cabin delivered all of that and then some!

Very clean, well supplied cabin. So easy to check-in. Be prepared for gravel roads and one steep gravel hill to get to the cabin. It was not an issue for us in a truck but could be slippery for some vehicles.

Pulling up I was glad I booked this cabin. It’s not right on top of other cabins so you have privacy. The porch and hot tub were great. The hot tub was hot when we showed up ( I’ve stayed other places where it was cold and needed to warm up). The inside is comfy and the kitchen is stocked with just about anything you would need to cook. The beds and bedrooms are nice. The bathroom had a great shower. Its location is a plus as well. It seems to be centered around any activity you want to do. If you watch to hike, sight see , go to town ,ect it’s about 15-20 minutes which isn’t bad for the area. I was very happy with the stay. I was nothing to complain about at all. The host was very responsive and nice about questions I had. I will be booking here again.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Ashmoor! The property was as advertised: clean, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our two night stay. This was a great experience taking my husband to the area for the first time and we would absolutely consider returning in the future.

The cabin was slightly smaller than it appears in the pictures but perfect size for our little family. The cabin is located on the mountain side and like the description says you really need 4WD to get up the hillside in bad weather. We had a lot of rain while there and there were times we were nervous we’d make it up the hillside in our truck. We did run into a small issue and the host was quick to respond. The internet can be spotty if that’s an issue for you but there were DVD for when the internet goes down. We had a really nice stay and would def be back.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was quiet and relaxing. Also we loved the hot tub. We plan to revisit in the near future.

If you're looking for a secluded place to stay surrounded by trees then this is the place for you! It's peaceful and the views are amazing. It's close to restaurants, hiking, and cute little towns.

One of the best stays I've had in awhile

The cabin was perfect for our long weekend in Hocking Hills. It was incredibly clean and cozy. We enjoyed hiking at the state park, but also took advantage of the walking trails on the property. We had a great time and would definitely return.

Everything was as described. The host gave us everything we needed, and the place was fantastic! It was quiet, peaceful, and the hot tub! We would definitely go back and recommend other couples to go.

I don’t ever write reviews but I feel like I have to for this stay. I have booked plenty of places to stay over the years and this was by far the best and most memorable one. The hosts were top notch and had every possible thing you needed from pots and pans to small things like firewood on the property for purchase. It was a beautiful and extremely clean place. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay. The cabin was clean and well equipped. The propane fireplace was especially nice as temps were in the single digits during our stay. As the owner explained, you’re definitely going to need a 4wd vehicle if there is snow on the ground. Would recommend!

Was good only thing would be helpful is to put right number for address bc when u lose ur internet and go to the numbers u gave its not right as you stated in the vrbo but if I don’t screen shot it I would of had no idea the address was wrong just knew it wasn’t right by the picture !!! So not sure why u even have the other numbers on there ??!!! Can really mess someone up specially because u can’t go back and look without internet!!! Other than that place was great for a short stay !!!

So very impressed with the cabin! We Loved the hot tub, spent a lot of time in it! We were incredibly lucky to get snow while we were there, it was just perfect! We will definitely be back!

Great, comfy , great location! I love the cabin. My daughters loved the hot chocolate set up they had for us. Kroger near by. And we went to ash cave one day also!

Cabin was nice, and very secluded. Our only complaints were that the hot tub jets and lights didn’t work appropriately (could be operator error) but it was still nice to enjoy the hot water. Beds were very soft, kitchen was well equipped and we had an overall very nice stay.

Nice cabin, clean, and cozy. 20 minutes from several parks with lots of hiking. 1 hour from Columbus if you wanna shop on a rainy day. Cabin is located on gravel road a little steep but not bad. Cabin was fully furnished with anything you would need. Beds were comfortable. Would stay again. A few restaurants in Nelsonville (10 minutes away)

This was a wonderful getaway destination in our beautiful state. The cabin is so nice! Very comfy and just what we needed. Amazing views and the hot tub was wonderful. Will definitely be back!

We had a great relaxing stay, it was just what we needed

We used the Ashmoor as a place to rest in between visits to the Hocking Hills. Though it may have been further away than we intended, the drive was pleasant and the cabin was very accommodating for the purpose with the hot tub and the extremely comcomfortable furnishings. com

Cabin was clean and cozy. Bed was little softer than I prefer, but overall was great stay.

It was a very nice cabin. Very isolated. Very quiet and peaceful. WiFi was solid enough to watch movies and do some work. Host was extremely responsive. Great getaway! Highly recommend!

Cabin had everything we needed for a 6 night Hocking hills vacation. The Internet is a mobile hotspot device through ATT and barely had a signal similar to my ATT phone but worked with some buffering for the only small Roku TV they had in the main living area, heads up the written password for the Internet is not very clear but the hotspot will display the password clearly, we had tried multiple combinations and could not get signed in until I checked the hotspot display. Firewood they have on the back side for purchase was great and at $20 for five bundles was a great deal for the area and convenient. Sunday brunch at Lake Hope Lodge was fantastic. The driveway is gravel, switch back and steep in some areas, I used 4 wheel drive on my truck so I didn't disturb the gravel as much but I think I wouldn't have a problem with either of our small Volkswagens either. Most trails in Hocking hills are short and easy even with my activity challenged family lol. All of the falls in the area were just trickles if anything even after a very heavy full night of rain which sounded great on the roof, perfect for sleeping. We stayed Friday-Thursday then headed to Kings island for 2 nights at a Tru hotel in Mason and wished we hadn't and just stayed longer in the cabin, Harsh dose of reality when the first night in Mason your truck is one of 21 cars broken into in the Tru hotel parking lot, nothing taken but broke both passenger side windows. Would do it again minus the latter.
