Amazing views of Kachemak Bay & Cook Inlet from modern, cozy tiny house cabin

We loved the cabin. Perfect location, with a great view, and wonderful host . It was our first experience with vrbo, and it was an easy process from pre-arrival to checkout. Thank you ! we really enjoyed our 4 nights in Homer.

We loved our comfy stay in this beautiful cabin on the hillside. The cabin is a delight, decorated and stocked so well, the view is amazing and Homer is a quaint and interesting place.

Great place, cozy, well equipped, exactly as advertised. Helen and Charlie are wonderful hosts, lots of great advice about hikes, food, etc. 10 stars !!

Amazing views, clean and quiet

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed Homer very much. The drive to the spit was only about 10 minutes and very scenic, with multiple sightings of moose and other wildlife. The hosts were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Will stay again if I get the chance to visit Homer.

We recently spent a week in Homer visiting our son and had a wonderful stay. Helen was a fantastic host—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and just right for what my husband and I needed.The only thing to note is that the fridge is a smaller, hotel-style unit, but we managed just fine and it didn’t take away from the overall experience.We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Helen, for making our visit so enjoyable.

Great place to stay

We greatly enjoyed our stay! Everything was provided for such as kitchen utensils, towels, toiletries, dinnerware & pots/pans. For the females, there was a hair dryer & makeup removal wipes. The views of downtown Homer, the bay & mountains was fantastic! On a clear day, you can even see a glacier from the backyard. Upon visiting Homer, we would consider staying again at the cabin.

Our hosts were the best ever! Gave us great recommendations for hikes. Highly recommend staying here where it’s so peaceful and quiet. We hope to return.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay in Helen's cabin - cozy, clean, comfortable! Loved the deck with the spectacular views of Kachemak Bay, perfect for morning coffee and evening wine (weather permitting!). The owner's live on the property, but the set-up affords lots of privacy. Helen greeted us upon our arrival. She was welcoming and full of helpful tips for us first timers to Homer. My only suggestion would be to add a place to unpack clothes - there isn't a closet or dresser. This was minor, however, as everything else was fabulous. If we get back to Homer, we will definitely stay again!

My husband & I were visiting Homer to go back to my childhood home in Anchor Point. We decided to rent VRBO & found this charming little studio! It was perfect, so clean, and the decor made us feel like we were in Alaska & Nordic country!! It had all the creature comforts of home including Coffee & Tea!! Our host Helen was so sweet & accommodating even before we got there! If you’re looking for a little gem in the hills above Homer w/stunning views of Kachemak Bay & a darling little patio to sit & watch the sunset (sort of) lol. The Sandhill Crane Cabin is for you!! Mahalo for such a great stay!!

The host was extremely thoughtful, quick to answer, gave great directions, and was happy to help with any issues we had during our stay. The cabin was spotless and very comfortable; easy to use; notes are posted in helpful places; the notebook if full of maps and local info. The cabin is just next to the main house but we never felt that our privacy was infringed upon; it felt safe, private, and close enough for them to run over and reset the wifi. Plenty of quality dishes, cooking items, linens, bedding, and appliances; no oven but a cooktop and a nice baking/toaster oven, microwave, and minifridge. We would love to stay again!

This was a very clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated lodging and a refuge after busy days in Homer with a pretty view of the sunset, the water, and snowy peaks. The hosts were friendly, but not hovering. They knew much about the area, and had spot-on suggestions for us as well as organized binders of info to peruse at our pace.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very nice and clean. There was plenty of literature about the area. The hosts Helen and Charlie were very pleasant. Overall we had a great time and would stay there again.

The location is in a very safe area, has great views, the furnishings were nice, and it was ultra clean. The communication and instructions from the hosts was excellent. I highly recommend. Great value.
