Amazing Log Cabin with Beautiful Views at Apple Canyon Lake

We loved our stay! Great communication with Mia! We arrived early and she gave us the passes to the pool and beach so we could hangout there while the cabin was being cleaned. Great hosts! Loved the welcome basket with goodies because our kids were hungry. Such a great touch! Pictures are exactly what the home looks like. Thank You!

The log cabin met our needs for the weekend very well. We were attending a wedding at a venue nearby. The hosts were very accommodating and had a lovely welcome basket waiting for us. The instructions and tourist tips were very helpful.

We had a quick relaxing stay. The cabin was very clean and easily assessable for a wedding we were attending in the area. It was lovely and the hosts were easy to communicate with.

Really needs good cooking utensils. Had to wait over a half hour to get in because Cleaning crew was still there. Having a list of where things are located would have been very helpful, such as cushions for outside chairs place where we could get more firewood, etc. We loved the atmosphere.

It was a nice cabin. We enjoyed our stay.

Cabin was beautiful and the perfect getaway for our family ski trip at Chestnut Mountain. Comfortable beds and linens, hosts were very hospitable, and kitchen was well-stocked.

Hi. I wanted to let you know that we truly and completely enjoyed staying at your cabin last weekend for our fishing long weekend. The unit is perfect, clean, and the layout is awesome, which is why we've rented it each winter for the past several years. I did want to mention, if you don't hear from me next year, please do not think it has anything to do with your cabin. My brother actually just purchased a house in Apple Canyon, so it's more likely than not that we'll be staying at his place when going there. However, if we ever need to rent at Apple Canyon again, we'll definitely be staying at your cabin. Thank you so much!!

The cabin was nice I would just say the only thing I would recommend is better cleaning there is large amounts of dust on fans and vents and around bathrooms faucets where pretty dirty, overall it was nice.

This house was perfect for a winter girls weekend! Plenty of room to spread out, play board games, eat, and watch chick flicks!

The cabin was a great for a friends get away! The whole process was seamless and we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful space

Second time at this property. Nice comfortable quiet spot minutes from Galena. Will probably go back next year.

While we made the most out of our stay, the cleanliness was not great. There were lots of dust/webs on the ceiling corners and ceiling fans, lots of dead flies on the windowsill, and even found an entire area near the dining table with dead bugs. We did not feel comfortable walking barefoot. While it is a very beautiful cabin, the basement room, which I’m assuming is the master bedroom, was extremely hot even while having the fan on. We could not sleep there and had to resort to sleeping in the living room. Would suggest to invest in an AC for that room as it was unbearable.

The cabin was great, super cute and accomodating. There were quite a few broken things, such as the back door and closet doors. There was also a crazy dead fly issue. flies covering the floor in the main area. Overall, we had a great stay, and were not dampered by any of the issues.

Great time with friends! The cabin was beautiful and it was in a nice, quiet location. The only downside was there was 7 women and only one shower. The biggest bathroom on the main level only had a tub so wasn't really useful for us. The bathroom upstairs in the loft was small, but the one with a shower so we all used it. Would recommend getting a small stand of some sort for people to put clothes, make-up bags, etc. as there wasn't a spot to set anything of any size. Nice deck, big lawn and a firepit. Great living room with lots of comfortable seating for us all to gather.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay!!!! So relaxing and the views are incredible. Phil and Mia are so nice and responsive. Built a fire in the fire pit and grilled out.

What a wonderful get away. Cabin was perfect and the surrounding area was beautiful.

We had another wonderful stay. This was our 4th stay, and we will be back. We enjoy the spacious cabin, sitting on the front porch, and the amenities that ACL has to offer.

The cabin was just like the pictures showed! We loved having access to everything at the clubhouse.

Nice cabin. Unfortunately Dish TV was out due to storms prior to our arrival but owners made contact & within a few days was fixed. No ice maker in fridge. Plenty of space for our family of 6. ACL amenities was appreciated! Visited Chestnut Mountain Resort (20 miles) & walked Main St in Galena, IL. Ate at Old School Saloon (Scales Mound, IL) - 10 min Very good food!!

This trip was everything our family expected during our trip to Apple Canyon, let alone our first family vacation with our children. As lot owners we knew what Apple Canyon had to offer as far as amenities. With that said the property owners were very responsive when I had any questions/concerns about our stay. Furthermore any minor issue we did have the property owner came out same day to help fix and take care of the concern. We will definitely return to this property for future Apple Canyon visits!

We LOVED our time at this cabin in Apple Canyon! The hosts were on top of communication and check in/out was so easy. Access to the beach was a huge win. I would recommend to anyone!

Cabin is located not too far from Galena. The property was very clean and gave cozy vibes. Communication with property manager was good.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Cute decor and most amenities we would need. Just a few things need cleaned and fixed to make it even more enjoyable. Ice maker in the freezer is not in working order, owner said he would get it fixed so hopefully he does. Lots of live and dead ladybugs in the house so I'm not sure how long ago the cabin was cleaned prior to our arrival. It being the off season, maybe the cleaners were there a while ago. Adding another shower would be a huge improvement in a house this size. But overall, the owners were responsive and the house was cozy and cute.

Myself and 4 friends were looking for a place for a quiet weekend away and found your property. It was perfect for our plans as it gave us a quiet location, yet it was close to activities if we wanted them. The property itself was clean and in good condition. We did have quite a few of the small ladybugs to contend with but that was not a huge deal to us. The beds were comfortable as were the couches. Having 5 beds worked great for us. Our only real criticism is that the lighting in the kitchen is lacking a bit (microwave light not working) and we could have used a larger bowl and a cutting board, (unless we missed them), as we did some cooking. We had plenty of everything else and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for a nice weekend!

Place was well stocked with all the essentials to enjoy a lovely winter galentines weekend with childhood friends. We loved the ample gathering spaces and coziness of the cabin!

Stayed here multiply times and every time has been a very good experience. Value for price paid is great. When so many places are overpriced and outrageous, this is priced right and well maintained.

Pros-Reasonable price, beautiful home, great location. We would absolutely come back. There were a few minor dissatisfactions such as no outlet covers a broken door in the basement and a few minor things were not cleaned, but overall, it was a very clean comfortable house.

This log cabin was purely beautiful and nice and peaceful… what a perfect family getaway… when checking in they had a nice little welcome note with snacks and a bottle of wine… the house was greatly stocked in the kitchen towels blankets games etc.. we will definitely be back again.. thank you for sharing ur beautiful home with us.. it was the perfect getaway

We truly enjoyed our time. The one disappointment was that the ice make was not working and we were not informed about it prior to our stay. Showed up with our adult beverages and had to run out for ice. Home and location were excellent

We stayed the weekend for my son’s wedding at Oak Hill Farm. We had an absolutely wonderful time and the cabin was a perfect location for us to stay!

My husband and I, along with two other couples stayed here. Loved having our morning coffee on the back patio. Had a great cookout on the patio as well. This place was a perfect little break for us.

This was the perfect place to gather and catch up with long time friends. We were close enough to Galena for shopping and to pickleball courts for some exercise
