Stayed Oct 24, 2025The cabin was cozy once we figured out how to turn on and where the thermostats were. A guest booklet would help with these types of things as well as the TV operation. The gas stove was nice but not sure why you could actually smell the gas? It didn't seem normal. Please let guests know what was being provided i.e: trash bags, paper towels and what type of cleaning products would be on site. Please provide a spray cleaner for guests. It was needed every morning to clean up the mouse droppings! Most cups, plates, pans were washed before using. Extra blankets or quilts would be nice. The kitchen could use a few more things like baking sheets and a potato masher. The living room and dining room were nice and big, and the deck was perfect for sunrises. I get it, it's a cabin in the woods and not the Ritz Carlton. It was was fine for the 3 nights and to enjoy the company of 4 old girlfriends seeing the sights of Vermont! Thanks very much for sharing your home!

Stayed Jul 12, 2025The good: wonderful location! Super quiet street that’s ten minutes away from everything. The cabin is old and cozy and has the best couch for sprawling. Beds are really comfortable. The house has multiple window units that kept the house cool. Lots of boardgames and puzzles for quiet nights! The bad: like a lot of other reviews have stated, the house needs a deep clean. The kitchen and bathrooms in particular need some love. Would stay again but only if the cleanliness issue was addressed.

Stayed May 16, 2025This house could be so sweet. The furnishings and decor are really pretty and the location is lovely. Unfortunately, there were so many problems, we left after one night. The house is remarkably dirty - very dusty, cloudy windows, dead bugs and spider webs on the window sills, sticky/greasy surfaces in the kitchen, food crusted on trash can lids, mildewed shower curtain. The coffee maker needed to be washed before using; the dishwasher had been run but two pans that were in it were still caked with food. Cooking supplies are sparse and many are rusty. Worse than all that, though, was being unable to connect with a human when we had questions. Neither the wifi or TV were working. We contacted Vacasa's customer service and had a long conversation with a bot - couldn't get thru to a person. The bot said it would notify their local office, but we never heard from them. And, finally, one of the bedrooms was without electricity: no lights and no power in the outlets. Quite the bummer all the way around!

Stayed Jan 17, 2025All in all , the house is fine. Very charming from the outside. It’s very basic but has what you need for short stay. You do need to bring your own toilet paper. I do think it’s important to know if you are renting this house in the winter you absolutely need to use 4WD to get up and down the driveway. It is very steep with a tight turn and they don’t treat for ice at all . Our 4Runner was in 4WD and still slid down! We had a good short stay

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Beautiful location for this unique property. 15 min or less from Quechee, Woodstock, White River Junction...25 min from Sharon. Lots of information provided on local activities including maps and an atlas. Beds were comfy and towels were fresh. Travel-sized bath soap/shampoo/conditioner provided. Big, new washer and dryer available (the water knobs are to the right) We enjoyed the deck and the screened porch. We were a party of 8 and three generations. The eldest of us found a couple of quirky inconveniences, but the property managers were prompt with their responses and solutions. AC in the master suite (never used). All windows are screened. We felt safe in this isolated location.

Stayed Aug 26, 2024Private and secluded, the house offered a nice view and relaxing setting. Excellent access to Quechee and Woodstock. Kitchen has lots of dishes, adequate utensils and cooking pans, but bring your own dishtowels and napkins! The stated rent was reasonable, but the cleaning and other fees are exorbitant. The house was clean on the surface, but we in need of more careful and deeper cleaning in places, such as the windows, window sills, and the deck. Not a great value for a short stay for two people.

Stayed May 28, 2024Well equipped, but somewhat disorganized kitchen. Lots of dishes and tumblers but if you plan to drink wine, bring your own wine glasses as there was only one wine glass! Lots of towels and nice linens. Beware the slippery bath and shower floors. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
