Very nice property very clean and well equipped the hot tub was great and clean. The property host was great got back to us right away if we reached out to him. 5 Stars
Beautiful cabin and perfect for our family Christmas stay
Really enjoyed the cabin and the hot tub. Very clean and beds were comfy. Kitchen was well stocked.
Great mountain getaway in the trees. We really enjoyed morning coffee on the porch and sitting by the fire pit and hot tub was a nice way to end each day. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very clean. One thing I would recommend is updating the couch. It was very uncomfortable. We had to put pillows under the cushions because of the huge gap. It was impossible to sit on without the extra support and then was still not very comfortable. We spent most of our time outside so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience but did make it uncomfortable when we tried to have a movie night.
Based off the listing I expected the cabin to have a view, games the kids could play, and comfortable couches. This cabin has no view during the summer and the games were all missing pieces so really there are no games that you can play. The fooseball table is listed as being a 10 in 1 game but it again is missing parts so it’s just a fooseball table. The couches are dated and you sink into a hole we’re the metal digs into your back due to it being a dated pull out couch. When you flush the toilet on the second floor it smelled like sewage. The drying machine didn’t work and it took over 7 hours to dry a load. Then the owner tried to have a new dryer delivered on the second day of our stay and expected us to wait around to let lowes deliver. This listing is not accurate and is misleading.
We were in town for a wedding, but we spent a lot of time playing in the area as well. We enjoyed the mountain coaster, Tweetsie Railroad, and a ropes course. This home is close to a lot of fun activities! The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the different options for movies/TV. The hot tub was great to have as well. As camp cook, I appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. Thank you for a great stay!
This location was the perfect basecamp for relaxing and spending time with my parents, husband, and three-year-old daughter. My husband and I took the upstairs room and our daughters pack-and-play fit in the closet, she loved it and thought it was so cozy. The king size bed was beautiful, and we slept so well while we were there. Just outside of the bedroom was a little landing where my daughter enjoyed playing. We all enjoyed the indoor and outdoor living spaces. The living room was comfortable and charming and we loved the gas fireplace that came on with the flip of a switch. We also cooked all of our meals in the cabin and liked the convenience of not having to go out. The side patio had a hot tub and fire pit that we enjoyed. Two of our favorite outings were snow tubing at Sugar Mountain Resort and gem mining at Sugar Creek Gem Mine, both of these places were only a fifteen minute drive down the hill from the cabin. The feeling I got in the cabin was very welcome and at home. I messaged the owner once with a question and he responded right away. If you choose to stay here, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Property was great from everything from the actual cabin to its location. Literally 3 minutes from downtown Banner Elk. We stayed the week of Christmas '22 and the property provided all the holiday vibes. Got snowed in the very first day and it only added to the propertys grandeur. All aspects of the property(appliances and amenities) were operational and up to date. Had some personal set backs the morning of check in and the host was more than professional and accommodating. Very pleased with the entire process and stay. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed the property and amenities. Hot tub, fire pit (bring your own wood). Beds were comfortable. House was stocked with necessities, toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, sheets. Nice having a washer and dryer. Only negative was heat went out before we got there but Will provided us with space heaters and they were perfect. Didn't get cold even at night. Love that the home is pet friendly.
Beautiful well maintained cabin convenient to Banner Elk and Newland.
Great!! Just what we asked for!! Thank u Will
We were staying in Banner Elk for the weekend for a family wedding. We selected this property because the pictures looked great, it was dog friendly and it had a hot tub. We arrived in town on Friday afternoon and checked in at 4:30 PM. The check-in process via lock box was smooth and easy. Friday and Saturday, we had a lot of family events in connection with the wedding we were attending. So, we were really looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub on Sunday. We were about to go out to the hot tub and noticed that there was someone there working on it, so we waited until they left and went out there, but then the water temp was only 75 degrees! We contacted the property owner and they said that it was their hot tub cleaner and it would take a day for the water to reheat. We were SO disappointed because we specifically looked for a property with a hot tub. Our entire Sunday plan involved relaxing in the hot tub, grabbing a good dinner somewhere, and just winding down from the hectic weekend before traveling home on Monday morning. I can't understand why the hot tub cleaning service would not be scheduled on the check-in or check-out day (check-out is at 11 AM and Check-in isn't until 4 pm). It was really disappointing to lose access to this amenity that we paid for as part of our booking.
