Natures lovers, walkers, cyclists and motorcycle riders... we have found the property for you. Your host has a definite idea of what Texas is all about and is anxious to share this love of Texas through his cabins. Located just across the street from the well known and popular Alamo Springs General Store and Café these cabins are not only beautiful and private, but they are comfortable too. Each cabin is set up for a romantic or just a casual weekend driving through the countryside. Let us introduce you to Alamo Springs Country Cabins.

The Country Cabin (1) and The Barn (2)
The first two cabins “The Country Cabin” and “The Barn” offer a rustic elegance. Each cabin has a long front porch decked with comfy rockers to enjoy a view of woods and wildlife. Inside these one room cabins you will find a king bed topped with luxury linens and fluffy decorative pillows. The bed is facing the open living along with the leather sofa (also a full size bed) and both are placed to enjoy the television and fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen has a range/oven, large refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster along with the table which can easily seat 3—4 people. Guests favorite part of the cabin probably will be the bathroom with it's large corner whirlpool tub so important for those special weekends. It also has a separate shower. Ever taken a shower or washed your hair in rainwater These cabins are supplied with pure, sparkling, clean and refreshing rainwater- and it tastes so good, you'll want to take some home.

Just outside the cabin your host provides a parking pad for motorcycles. Along with the special treat of having Alamo Springs General Store and Café across the road, guests may also be interested in the Bat Tunnel located just a short walk away. The Bat Tunnel is open in the evenings during the summer months. The cabins are only a short drive to Luckenbach. This special property has quickly become a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts.

For each extra person after the first two in your party, there is an additional $32/extra person/night (before tax) charge.

The home is pet friendly and will accept up to four dogs. However, there is a pet fee of $32/dog/night. Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

We enjoyed the National Park which was great walking and exercise for us to go and listen to the birds and more. we enjoyed the Hot/Jet Tub. It rained frequently but was not too muddy. But did make the weather temp awesome. did not need much a/c with windows open to enjoy cooler air The bed was comfortable and the sheets were very smooth. Very nice touch to have breakfast foods in refrig upon arrival. Plenty of supplies: bath towels, dog towels, muddy feet towels, Only issues: as a property manager by trade, I did notice that the oven smoked when we used it The kitchen faucet leaks at handle base I do recommend a commercial outdoor/indoor entrance mat to place dog water/food on since dog water does not always stay inside the bowl… we set a towel down to help with this and always (at home too) wipe dog face after drinking.

Very nice structure. My wife and I love the woodwork and craftsmanship that went into the construction of the cabin. The management was not very helpful. When we complained about not having a working TV she said Okay I'll let the owner know. If she managed any of my properties she would by quickly gone.

Quiet little place about 10 miles off the main hwy to town. Space between other cabin is perfect where you don't have a direct neighbor. Deer can be spotted walking around in the mornings and evenings. Quaint location within walking distance to Alamo Springs Cafe (outdoor seating, live music and a good burger) & Old Tunnel State Park. If you want to see the bats, make reservations now.

This place was very cozy and clean. The location was fantastic being not too far from Fredericksburg. The drive to the town was beautiful as well. We will definitely be going back.

This was a last minute booking for us and it was perfect. Off the grid, quiet and peaceful. Pretty, winding drive to Fredricksburg was just close enough. We enjoyed the cabin with all the amenities we needed - even breakfast to get our day started. Spent time on the porch with our coffee in the morning and star gazing at night. We would definitely stay here again!

The Barn was perfect for our long weekend in the Hill Country- just outside of Fredericksburg but close to all the local attractions. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed; there were plenty of towels and linens, and sitting on the front porch was a treat in the mornings and evenings. Definitely recommend for a couple's getaway!

My wife and I have made a few trips to Fredericksburg over the years and the last two trips we have stayed here at the Barn. We absolutely love this cabin, we love the peace and quiet we can have out there. It's a bit of a drive from town but it's well worth it. We've recommended this cabin to family and friends and we will stay here any time we come for a vacation. Thank you to our hosts!
