A cozy mountain cabin retreat located 25 minutes west of Flagstaff (and 65 miles from the Grand Canyon). We like to call our cabin a Tech Detox . There is very poor to no cell reception unless on the main road, we don't have WiFi . We do offer TV and bunch of DVDs to watch in case you miss your city life. The cabin stands amidst the Kaibab National Forest on a beautiful slope nestled among the tall pine trees. There is also a slight peek of a mountain view from the kitchen window! The cabin is decorated in true Northwoods-style fashion and it is a true nature retreat that gives you the chance to unplug from your cell phone, TV and electronic equipment -allowing you to just sip coffee on the large deck while listening to the wind through the pines. We like to call our cabin a Tech Detox . There is very poor to no cell reception unless on the main road, we don't have WiFi . We do offer TV and bunch of DVDs to watch in case you miss your city life. You may also enjoy the wood burning stove on chilly days -so romantic! This cabin is fully furnished with a queen size bed and a brand new mattress. There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, cooking equipment, toaster oven, fridge/freezer and washer & dryer. There are two comfy recliners and a comfortable sofa. This cabin is only rented for 2 people (it is NOT a pull out bed though). Hot & Cold running water (using a 1000 gallon cistern tank). A modern bathroom as well. The cabin is very very close to a few trail heads where you may mountain bike, hike, cross-country ski or ride horses. There are some ATV trails in the area as well. Flagstaff is just 25-30 minutes away and is a great place to experience one of the many unique restaurants/shops. Or you might wish to visit Arizona Snowbowl for some downhill skiing (located right outside of Flagstaff). The cabin is also a fun 25 minutes drive to Williams, AZ and 65 miles from the Grand Canyon. Take a scenic train ride from Williams to Grand Canyon. You will enjoy this historic ride!

This is a beautiful cabin in the middle of the forest that you will absolutely enjoy. Stayed 3 nights and will come back for sure. The meadows nearby are safe and amazing to walk around, sleep under the trees and watch wildlife...deer, coyotes, birds... what a beautiful place. Ramin is an excellent host and was always responsive, provided clear instructions and even helped provide tips & local attractions to visit.

Quiet and signal free space. Nothing more peaceful than being cut of from society and getting a couple of days of nature

Great place to stay if you’re trying to get away from the city life for a bit. Directions too get to the cabin was a bit confusing but managed nonetheless. I would give it a 5/5 stars however, in order to stay warm you have to pay an additional 8$ for wood I would think the wood would come included with the stay since it’s one of the only ways to stay warm throughout the cabin. We managed to stay warm with the two miniature heaters in the bedroom and bathroom.

Pine trees all around. Cute forest theme inside the cabin with lots of wood: floors, ceiling. Looked like a lot of work had gone into making it nice. Our favorite part was the quiet. With no internet, the days slowed down. Only low point was the plumbing, but we were made aware of it before we went.

If you are looking for or perhaps need serene tranquility - this is the place for you. Truthfully it might be called 'whispering pines' as that is all you will hear for your morning beverage. The unit is well equipped with kitchenware as is the bath. Directions to turn on equipment is clear and well marked. We started a fire in the wood burning stove one evening and it seriously kept the cabin warm for the next couple of days. If I would consider anything missing it would only be the traditional bear skin rug in front of the fireplace! We came back refreshed and 'tech detoxed'!

This was my 2nd stay at this lovely cabin. It held onto the rustic charm, even without the 1.5' of snow. The wood stove was more than enough to keep the main room comfortable on the 30 def (f) nights. The electric heaters in the other rooms was more than adequate as well. The kitchen is very well supplied, every time I wondered if they had something, I found it. It's better stocked than my house. It is a lovely location for good money. Wife likes it enough we a looking to book it again this year for our anniversary.

This was the perfect location for all the sights we wanted to see, we even made it down to Sedona. The cabin was very clean, peaceful and I appreciated the binder that contained all the answers to any questions you could have.

I can't speak to the skiing, as the cabin was so peaceful and comfortable and inviting, I didn't leave it all weekend. Even with 3 inches of snow, the cabin warm. Crackle of the wood stove memorizing. It was the disconnect from electronics and city I needed. Will book again

This cabin provided everything I needed for a week off-grid. It was a clean, quiet, well-stocked space where I could stay warm and solitary. I was quite happy and comfortable, with only the cheerful stuffed bear on the bed for company. I appreciated watching the stars from the back porch, chopping wood for the stove, and listening to the breeze in the pines.

We loved this cabin in the woods! Next time we would stay much longer to enjoy the coziness and the solitude for more than just the few days we had. There are other cabins nearby but the area is very quiet and remote. We had such fun hiking the Grand Canyon and exploring Route 66. The host is very responsive. Note to guests: be prepared to turn on the water by just flipping the switches on the outside near the back deck. Loved relaxing by the fire and watching stars from the outside deck. Stay here - you won’t regret it!!!

We loved our stay at Koko’s cabin. It was the perfect home base for our daily adventure to the Grand Canyon. The drive is about 1.5hrs to and from but totally worth having the solitude and coziness of the cabin after a long day of hiking. Host was very responsive and polite. Would absolutely stay again. What a gem of a property!
