Our Expectations of Guests
Taking Care
We are a small family business simply trying to navigate what the new normal is while also trying to maintain the health of our guests and ourselves. We expect that our guests have taken great care and precaution, as we have, to self-quarantine and social distance. We know the Adirondacks is beloved to many which is why we’re opening our doors in a limited way. We will welcome guests who have self-quarantined prior to arrival for 14 days and who are feeling well and healthy. We expect our guests to be honest - that they have not come into contact with anyone that has had active COVID-19. Our cabins host 8 or fewer people. Only one cabin will be rented to each party. We will disallow congregating in groups of more than 10. This restriction may ease later in the summer. If you do not feel you can meet these expectations, please cancel your reservation.

Perfect getaway , cabin cozy and location perfect on beautiful lake . Loved it!!!
We enjoyed our stay at Camp Jenny! It was a different stay than what we are used to. Zero internet service at the cabin, but when we went out on the water to kayak we could get a signal. Or you could take a short walk to the main house to get service too. Marjorie was available for any questions we had. Always pleasant and helpful. Gave us tips on kayaking locations and hiking options. The cleaning expectation upon leaving was doable but a lot for being on vacation. All floors had to be swept and mopped, toilets and sinks scrubbed, refrigerator shut off and cleaned as well. The last day weighed on my mind because I wanted to make sure we would have enough time to get all tasks done perfectly and on time for departure. I double checked with Marjorie to make sure we were all set! The lighting in the cabin is pretty dim. They have both electric lighting but also gas lamps for additional charm. Also, no air conditioning which was tough during this hot week. The windows did not let in much of a breeze. They did have a floor fan for the living room and one fan in the bedroom with two beds but overall it was pretty warm at bedtime despite our efforts. BUT this is all part of the rustic living and not having the frills. The location on the water was beautiful and worth the trip alone. Having coffee on the deck was a treat. And even sitting on the dock reading at night to my kids was a memory maker.
Marjorie was a terrific host. She was very responsive, thoughtful & gracious (and we weren't the easiest guests!). The location is peaceful and amazing - close to the city of Saranac Lake which has with a great natural food store, bustling farmer's market, perfect bookstore and amazing toy/game store but far enough away that it's quiet and very remote. The lake is pristine. We paddled and fished and mountain biked nearby. Should have stayed for more than 2 nights!
Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay. Located in a beautiful setting off the beaten path, we were treated to our own vintage cabin which was rustic and super cozy, a dock to launch our kayaks, and fabulous hosts. They went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. We will be back!
We LOVED Camp Jenny and had a great stay! Camp was clean, rustic and comfortable and we loved the sunsets from the dock! Cochran’s were lovely hosts as well. Look forward to coming back soon!
We highly recommend Cochran’s Cabins. The location is beautiful, cabins are clean, cozy and rustic... exactly what an Adirondack experience should be. The management is very helpful and easy to communicate with. We rented a fishing boat and were able to explore the chain of lakes with ease. It was an incredible weekend and we can’t wait to go back. This will be an annual event for us.
Camp Jenny was clean and well kept. We enjoyed everything about the property. Very helpful people! We would definitely return! Plenty of space for my family of 6.
