Stayed Jul 5, 2025This cozy cabin is exactly as pictured and described. While we no longer have young children, it would be wonderful place to stay if you did. Additionally, it feels isolated in the woods, and yet you are only 10-15 minutes from Bar Harbor, carriage trails, and all the other attractions! We loved, loved, loved this cabin, and we hope to return next year despite the 18 hour drive to get to it!

Stayed Aug 10, 2024Central location to quickly get to hikes on both sides of Mound Desert Island. Lovely relaxing place to come back to after being out. Steve and Rose were readily available if we had any concerns (which we didn't). Definitely recommend this location.

Stayed Jul 6, 2024Our stay was exactly what we hoped for when booked. The property is quiet, with no traffic. The cabin was spotlessly clean,and very comfortable due to having an air conditioner. It had all of the linens you need. The outside area is a kids paradise with a jungle gym, teepee, there is a fire pit. We didn't have young kids with us, but if we had they would have loved it. This is the perfect place to stay as long as you are content to have to drive everywhere, it really isn't walking or even biking distance to much.

Stayed Aug 26, 2023We had a great at Rose and Steve’s place. This is a great place for families with small children. Place was excellent, clean, cozy and conveniently located near Acadia.
