Love this place. 2nd year staying here for a friend's and family reunion. Host responded to our in app messages with helpful and polite response. Property is outstanding with trails, game room, sports field and the professional kitchen is awesome.
We had a weekend reception for family and friends at the property. This was perfect for us to get away in the mountains, and have enough room in the lodge and the pavilion for everyone. There was something for everyone: Ponds, Game Room, Playground, etc.. This is the perfect place for a getaway with a group of family or friends.
We stayed with several families and everyone very much enjoyed their stay! Lots of fun things to do and plenty of space!
This property was incredible! Our group loved everything about it. There were so many activities - hiking, biking, paddle boating, campfires, and so much more. Cooking in the outdoor kitchen for our large group was a blast! The house was also very clean. We will absolutely return. Note for future groups: there are no TVs and no cell service. But the WiFi was great!
Amazing location (near some top notch trout fisheries), property is beyond what pictures can capture. Perfect in nearly every way. The view, the kitchen (is a blast to cook in for big groups), and the countless activities. Would gladly return.
Property is beautiful, this is my second time. Communication was a little hard other than that property is great!
We took another youth retreat to Bald Eagle and it was just as marvelous as our previous trips. There are so many things to do on the property and the accommodations are splendid and perfect for a large group. Thanks again!!
We been there second time still the best place to visit with the larger group we will visit agen
will for sure go a third...
This property was pristine. There was no detail overlooked and it had EVERYTHING a large group could ask for. We can't wait to return.
Cannot wait to come back to this amazing house surrounded by the nature. This retreat is something that is worth experiencing. The place is huge, everything for both kids and adults have been carefully taken care of. We loved our stay.
This is our second time staying at this property. We enjoy all of the outdoor activities even in the middle of PA winter. The fireplace in the main living room is beautiful and so cozy. The owner was always so quick to answer our questions and is very accommodating. Thanks for another memorable trip!
Wonderful place for our annual friends group reunion with families and kids. Perfect for a large group. Can't wait to go back
This place was absolutely beautiful. Had no problems and an amazing time here.
This was my family's first shot at a proper destination reunion and I want to emphasize that my family members are very hard to impress and please. This stay was absolutely perfect. In addition to all the amenities promised, there were even more thoughtful touches, such as baking utensils in the kitchen, strollers, paddleboats. The property itself is GORGEOUS, compelling adults and children aged 3 weeks-70 years to spend most of the time outdoors even in late November. There are tons of activities just on the grounds. The area feels safe. The house is warm, cozy, and spacious. The hosts are quick to reply and extremely helpful. This place impressed every last member of our extended family, and that's saying something. There's something here for EVERYONE, from adventurous children, to OCD teens, to kitchen and cooking lovers, to athletic brother in laws.
From beginning to end, it’s always a great time at Bald Eagle Retreat! Despite the cold weather and a bit of snow our group thoroughly enjoyed being together and unwinding for the weekend. Plenty of beds, a wonderful outdoor kitchen, clean accommodations and plenty of things to do. All in all it’s a great property with great hosts who are always attentive to the needs of their guests. We can’t wait until the Spring!!
This place is huge and beautiful. There is so much to do. I highly recommend this place for a big group of people!
This is an amazing property and perfect for our college reunion with friends and family who were in town for a Penn State White Out. The property is very well kept down to the details. Clean, with leaves raked, grass cut and all kinds of amenities for use during the stay. It was the perfect weekend and a place to remember! Everyone really enjoyed. I really appreciated all the details across the property. So much sleeping space, especially for kids. (Just FYI for those considering to rent - there is no cell phone service in the area - Wi-Fi was GREAT though at the house - and no TVs). We had a blast and would definitely consider coming back, but hopefully for a longer stay next time!
Bald Eagle Retreat was the perfect place for our college friends’ reunion. Nineteen of us were quite comfortable in the spacious living room area and nine bedrooms. The kitchen was very well appointed and we had all the supplies we needed to prepare meals. The owners were easy to communicate with and were very responsive. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen, fire pit and trails, and hung out every afternoon on the large deck overlooking the well maintained grounds. I would recommend this space to any group looking for a quiet, beautiful place to gather.
The house and property were absolutely amazing, it was such a quiet and peaceful place to spend the weekend.
This place is amazing! The host is super friendly and responsive. This place is also HUGE and perfect for a large group! We have 40+ people and there’s still plenty of space. There’s also so much to do for outdoor activities. The kayaks and paddle boards are so much fun! Would definitely consider returning here in the future!

Our group of 25 friends had a wonderful stay! The nature is lovely with with ponds and trees. The pavilion is an added bonus as a place to cook and spread out. Service is sketchy up the mt. so recommended to take screenshots of your directions! Would love to return in the summer months.
This property is amazing! Loved the location and all that was available to do. We had a range in ages from 60+ down to 1 year old and everyone enjoyed it. Also liked having all the rooms under one roof so while kids were taking naps, parents could play games together. The paddle boats and kayaks were a hit as well as the hiking trails! Highly recommend this place for family gatherings!!
