Black Mountain, North Carolina
The Studio was originally designed as a documentary photography creative space. In September of 2006 it was renovated to accommodate guests and travelers. It has an inspiring, modern, spacious feeling with the outdoor wooded surroundings to complement your stay. As with all of the lodging offered by Lake Eden Events & Lodging, the Studio has its own unique environment and is an easy relaxing getaway retreat. The building sits next to a mountain stream feeding into our private lake on our 60+ acre property, which is completely surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

Unique place and property. My husband and I met at a summer camp so it was a bit of nostalgia staying so close to a camp. Really enjoyed hiking the lookout trail and dining at the bush farmhouse. Black mountain was a great weekend trip.
We enjoyed the house. The grounds were beautiful and it is super close to fun downtown Black Mountain.
Very cozy, clean, worth the drive.
We rented the cabin for new years. Amazing place. Felt at home. We were close to downtown and hiking trails. We will definitely be staying again
The property is a one-bedroom freestanding home (main room with fold-out futon), kitchen, and loft bedroom). It's fine for two adults, but would be pretty crowded with more than that. The setting is great, being located on a very pretty former summer camp with two small lakes, meadows, and lots of woods. This house is up on a hill, so very private. It was too cold to really enjoy the outdoors, but it is also very close to Asheville. We toured the Biltmore and also caught a movie in town. Everything was nicely decorated and in good condition.
My wife and I enjoyed our say here as it was a peaceful and comfortable place for our visit to Ashville, NC. Wonderful restaurants in nearby Black Mountain.
Enjoyed
Lovely property. Quiet and isolated yet close to all the nearby attractions. Loved the photography and history of Lake Eden. The place is magical.
The 62 acres is beautiful and great to hike around but confusing because you don't know whose property you might be on and there is no one to ask? Very private except for the maintenance dept was right behind the studio which would have been nice to know beforehand? No silverware, enough dishes or supplies.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. A nicer mattress, new pillows, and some more comfortable furniture would go a long way to making it a 5 star stay. The pantry also lacked some essentials that make for a nice rental. It’s certainly a good location if you’re visiting Black Mountain and Asheville, but want to be off the beaten path.
