A Grandview over Capitol Reef National Park

Beautiful home. Lots of room and unbelievable views. Very close to Capitol Reef!!! Very glad we found this gem of a residence. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We loved the cabin, and the location was perfect, with views in all directions! Like staying in the park itself. Also great for stargazing!

The home itself was very unique! It was not super fancy but rather homey and very comfortable. It does not have the vibe of a rental but rather someone's treasured home. It was very clean and well cared for. I had injured my knee the day before and was on crutches a few days, so having the access to the garage and a straight shot into the house without stairs was perfect! It was stocked with everything you would need (even ice packs for my knee)! The location was outstanding, very convenient to Capitol Reef, private, and close enough to town for any needed resources. Yet it was so peaceful with spectacular views all around! When the sun hit those mountains in the right way, they turned bright orange! The stars at night were SPECTACULAR! We absolutely loved our stay there. Even the ride back and forth to the park was stunning! The only advice I would give is add to your directions to the house a description of the big painted rock at the end of the driveway as the start up the driveway. Thanks for sharing this special place!

Family trip for us with plenty of room for teenagers. Beautiful property in location sitting high up with view of creek. Big glass windows and porches to see the amazing sunsets and sunrises. Soft sheets and high quality shampoos/body wash. Very clean.

I can’t thank the hosts enough for quick helpful communication. Above all, this place is a gem if you want a comfortable but rustic cabin getaway. Wood burning stove, board games, painting set, fully stocked kitchen. Great books on the shelf. Quick access to lower elevation (warmer) hikes when it was cool on the plateau. Stars and moon rise were outstanding. Thank you for sharing your retreat!

A very unique and comfortable home, with an unusually well stocked kitchen for cooking in. The sunrises were gorgeous (October), lots of birds and a few small lizards to keep you company when you roam the extensive property. We also enjoyed the upstairs library for evening reading, many interesting books to choose from. Very good location for area sightseeing and hiking in and near Capitol Reef NP. One slight caution, if you have a low ground clearance car, go very slowly up and down the gravel driveway.

Sunrise to sunset this place has the views and the space to enjoy. Used this as a base of operations for exploring Capitol Reef NP and surrounding areas (don't miss the caves at Goblin Valley State Park!) The house was super comfortable with a great kitchen. Located very near to town yet super private. Highly recommended and we are certainly hoping to return for more exploration!

The setting of this house is amazing- close to everything you need - very private, quiet and the views take your breath away - fabulous stargazing at night, beautiful sunrises - would highly recommend!

This was a great location for a quiet getway. The kitchen appliences are modern and quiet as were the laundry appliences. Very nicely appointed and comfortable

Our stay at GrandView was solid. The cabin/house had everything we needed. The hosts provided everything needed in the kitchen, the beds/bedding were good quality and the porch views were beyond. The ease of access to Capitol Reef was great - and the lil town of Torrey had a great little general store and ice cream shop that was top notch.

This house had the most awesome 360 degree view of the surroundings that I have ever seen. There were a few things like no AC or dishwasher that we noticed less because the view was so spectacular. There was a large fan that kept the front part of the house well-ventilated, and a passing storm during one night cooled us all tremendously. We enjoyed the house very much.

We had a wonderful time! House was great with lots of room to sleep. Stocked well and can’t be the night sky. Would definitely stay here again. Awesome communication and garage parking is extremely nice.

This home is designed for relaxation- not incredibly fancy but with lots of attributes that allow one to relax, sink into the surroundings and rejuvenate. Very well appointed for gathering, cooking and enjoying each other's company. Highly recommend and, if life allows, will come back myself.

My family and I stayed in this cabin in early June 2024. My kids (10 and 13), and my wife and I, loved every minute of it. After the hubbub of people in both Moab and Zion it was amazing to be able to sit back and enjoy the sound of the wind whistling through the pines while enjoying a beautiful view all around you. The cabin was well stocked to the point you felt like you were staying at a friend's place. My kids are already asking when we will go back.
