Stayed Jun 20, 2026My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin has very comfortable beds and furniture, kitchen is small but well appointed. Had everything we needed to cook our meals. Only room for one cook, but that’s how I like it! It was very well organized to maximize the space. We enjoyed the fireplace - very cozy atmosphere! And the deck was lovely for bird watching. We did see a deer too. There are so many things to do in the area. We enjoyed the drive through the mountains on Old Stage Road to Cripple Creek. The views are amazing! From there we took Phantom Canyon. Of course Pike’s Peak and Garden of the God’s were a wonder! Also, if you have the chance to travel to Boreas Pass, do it! But beware if raining. It was a little muddy and can be slippery when wet. It is a beautiful way to visit the continental divide. The road ended at Breckenridge where we had lunch. Lots of options there! And shops. The first time up to mountain road to the cabin was a little fretful, but you get used to it quickly. Views from the road are as stunning as any we saw on our travels. Simply a beautiful place!! We chose a great place e to stay. We shall be back!

Stayed May 31, 2026Historical cabin which excited our young travelers. Creek is really non-accessible due to steep banks and overgrown grasses which was a disappointment. Road to cabin would be easier, I think, with 4 wheel drive, but not mandatory. I think guests should be made aware of the steep stairs up to the 2nd story as several of us seniors found them difficult to use. Kitchen tiny and moderately stocked, wi-fi excellent, lots of board games kids enjoyed. Communication with owners was excellent and cabin was clean with exceedingly comfortable beds and pillows.

Stayed Sep 28, 2025My family really enjoyed the cozy cabin in the Cheyenne Mountains. The location is great because you are tucked away in the woods with plenty of beautiful scenery but close to any activity you are interested in experiencing. The host, Steve, was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had about our stay.

Stayed Sep 21, 2025Pictures do not do this place justice. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We even had a little rain for a couple of days and it was still great. The first turn on the road is a little scary but we didn't have any issues. Couldn't of asked for a better place on our first vacation.

Stayed Jul 28, 2025We really enjoyed the cabin! The surroundings were beautiful, the cabin was cozy and perfect for our family and we loved having fires in the firepit. It felt like having a remote mountain vacation that was only a short drive down the mountain so we were able to have the best of both worlds!

Stayed Jul 14, 2025This cabin was so adorable! Amenities were amazing. Everything was very clean. Steve was easy to work with and had a lot of helpful information because this isn't a normal location for most people. The drive to/from the cabin is a winding, steep, dirt road which we all enjoyed as it offers amazing and unique views of Colorado Springs and the valley below.

Stayed Jun 15, 2025This was our second time visiting the cabin, and it was just as wonderful as the first! What an incredible experience all around. The photos truly don’t capture how charming and peaceful this place really is. The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. We absolutely loved the cozy cabin atmosphere and slept incredibly well each night. The location is perfectly tucked away, far from any main roads, giving us a true sense of peace and quiet. The views on the drive up are breathtaking—you can see the Broadmoor Hotel, the town below, the mountains, and the lake. One of our favorite spots was the deck just outside the cabin, where we relaxed in the crisp mountain air, watched wildlife, and built fires in the evenings. We also enjoyed watching the sunrise through the trees, hiking around the property and across the bridge, and of course, roasting marshmallows at the fire pits.A fun little touch was the wishing well—we made sure to toss in a coin and make a wish before leaving!Steve is an outstanding host—communicative, accommodating, and clearly dedicated to making sure every detail is just right.

Stayed May 8, 2025I cannot overstate how amazing this cabin was to stay in. My only regret is that it was only for 3 days. We had such an amazing time, I would be willing to fly back to stay here for a couple weeks. It was so relaxing! Our host, Steve, was incredible. He was very attentive and responsive. The cabin has so much charm. You can feel the extensive history of the place, but it has been upgraded with such modern features. Whoever designed the kitchen is a genius. So much functionality in such a small space. I am a cook and wouldn't hesitate to cook a holiday meal in there. The interior is beautiful with very comfortable furnishings. The beds are great. Sitting outside by the fire pit each night is one of the highlights of our amazing 12-day road trip around the Rockies. You are surrounded by giant ponderosa pines, you hear the crackling of the fire and the nearby stream, and you have an excellent chance of spotting wildlife. I love this place so much!

Stayed May 23, 2025Perfect for family gathering. Surroundings gorgeous. Owners wonderful in communicating. A must see to believe the beauty of the cabin interior and exterior. With mule deer eating right outside windows a postcard picture to say the least. We wished we had more time for enjoying the tranquility of this spot within a peaceful forest setting. Thank you for making it available!

Stayed May 17, 2025The cabin is the perfect place for some peace and quiet. The cleanliness is exceptional! We enjoyed having campfires on the deck and gazing at the stars. We rented a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and it was just perfect for driving up and down the mountain. We even had fun driving to the top to see what the Bear Trap Ranch was and beyond. My suggestion is to find the cabin in the daylight. Steve, the host is so personable and sends videos that are very helpful. The cabin is not far from the Broadmoor area. It is a very pretty area to see. We enjoyed the Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs and taking the Cog up Pikes Peak. We highly recommend this place.

Stayed Sep 30, 2024Steve is a fantastically thoughtful host and everything is exactly as described, all in working order. Fall temperatures have begun and the outdoor fire pit was wonderfully welcome. We did not encounter any ghosts, but we certainly enjoyed thinking about the 1890 stagecoach passengers using the outhouse. Interior bathrooms with hot water are a dream—Thank you Steve
