OUTSIDE SPACE

The cabin is isolated enough to be away from everyone, but civilization is close by, within a short 20 minute drive. Food, supplies and needs, all close. Cabin is fully furnished with plates, cups, CORKSCREW, pans, pots and much much more. All you need to bring is wood for the fireplace, but the space heater is plenty good at its job. The fire however, is just...perfect. Our host called us, checked on us more than once thanks to worries about the snow and was generally friendly, professional and fantastic in every single way. I had two guests from Europe who counted that quiet cabin as the highlight moment of their lives and the trip. In short, I cannot wait to return to the cabin and have Guy as my host once again! And of course, the price...was beautiful and affordable. Especially considering what we got.
Its perfect for 2 or 3 people. Quiet area, well maintained. Great ambience for the forwst cavin feel.
The place is nice enough, but the owner left out some things that would have been nice to know. For one, the owner only told me once I checked in that there is only a 20 gallon hot water tank, enough for 2 people to shower if they are quick. Then you’d have to wait about an hour and a half for the hot water to replenish. It was only me on this trip, so it wasn’t an issue, but seeing as he advertises sleeping for 6 in a 3 bedroom, it’s an important detail. Also, the description claims the cabin has WiFi. Well, also from the owner’s own mouth after I checked in, the router is set up in another one of his cabins. He has 3 in a row. And he said the WiFi may not work well unless I’m on the front porch. In fact, it never worked well enough for me to get any work done on my laptop. The owner partially blamed the “weekend”, saying many weekend travelers equals his band width being used up. Another thing that was somewhat misleading is 3 bedrooms and the problematic staircase that is not mentioned in the description. There is one bedroom downstairs, which by the way is not shown in the photos online. Then, if you climb a staircase that is nearly impossible for anyone with even the slightest mobility issue to climb as the stairs are deep and you have to duck and pivot to get through the entry way at the top, which reveals two areas, I wouldn’t expect much privacy or really consider them bedrooms. Overall the owner was very kind and attentive. The place was nice.
Fun place to stay!
