This was everything we expected and a great place to unwind and recharge after a long and hot Texas summer. Rich made us aware of every detail necessary to insure we were able to use and enjoy the property as it was intended. Hopefully we can make a return in the future! Thanks!
We really enjoyed this cabin. Loved the kitchen for cooking daily breakfast, very well stocked with all cookware and cutlery. They have a great spice cabinet! We cooked out on the grill and loved being high on top of the mountain for great views! Daily wildlife was a real treat and we absolutely loved the observation deck for sunrise in the morning and star gazing at night. The hot tub was awesome after our wonderful hikes in various mountain ranges we visited. We would come back to this VRBO property, owner Rich was great and communication was always timely when we needed anything. He had some great recommendations for us!
We loved the location. The cabin was very secluded. The cabin was very nice, and the description was dead on.
Driveway was rough. Cabin was lovely and comfortable. The deer around the property were entertaining.
When we were not relaxing and taking in the Mountain View’s we were enjoying the chefs kitchen. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend.
Our family consisted of five adults. We enjoyed the space as there was plenty of room to spread out. We just wanted a place to relax, and this house fit the bill. Plenty of places to curl up with a book or I-pad. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves inside or on the grill, nice selection of spices, plenty of dishware and cookware. Games and cards were a nice touch. The decks are very nice for enjoying the outdoors, each had plenty of seating, and cushions for comfort. Hot tub was clean, and warm. The only downside is that the near by homes can be noisy (even though out of sight). We heard construction machinery often, and barking dogs everyday. I enjoyed the rooster crowing at the neighbors, but some people may not. The owner was very friendly, helpful and responsive. Any issues and he was just a text message away.
Really nice place with spectacular views of the mountains. Property is well maintained and communication with the host was great.
Excellent location.. beautiful home with extraordinary vistas.. Property Mgr was extremely welcoming .. would definitely return!
Rich was awesome and the views well playing corn hole was top tier! Great hangout spot
This place was just great. It was the kids favorite spot on our whole trip to Colorado. We loved being near the forest, enjoyed the view, and loved not being able to hear the highway. It was perfect for us! The house is well stocked with everything you might need and the owner was very quick to respond and attentive to details.
Rich, the property owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. Truly one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. The property is beyond words, a little piece of Heaven. Still your soul and quiet yourself and you can feel the power of nature. It was a spiritual experience for myself and my friends and can’t be explained in simple words. We have a new friend, an Elk who came to visit, we named Navaeh. Truly spectacular location and host!
The cabin is a beauty. We loved the way the original aspects of the architecture have been preserved. Very comfortable furnishings and it was a joy to cook in the kitchen!! Rich is a very thoughtful host!!
Rich was super helpful and his place was very comfortable in a beautiful setting, and centrally located to so many great activities. Would happily stay there again any time!
We were worried about not having AC (late Aug on a hot day) but the mountain air was mostly chilly and perfect in the afternoon.
We loved our stay at The Cabin in the Blue Sky. The updated 1940's cabin was a good mix of old building and new amenities. We also enjoyed the views that the decks provided. I would recommend it!
We can’t say enough about the property! The views are breathtaking. And the cabin! with all its quirks and charm that have been preserved from its 1940’s build to its modern updates - this place is perfect.
