Lancing, Tennessee
Hello, and thank you for Looking! This very Peaceful 3 bedroom 2 bathroom Cabin with loft is located in the Cumberland Mountains Just outside The Knoxville/Oak Ridge Tennessee area. The cabin is located between The towns of Wartburg and Sunbright, Tennessee on State Road 27 in a Mountainous Scenic Area.
The Cabin is set on a hill top and has panoramic views of the surrounding Cumberland Mountains. There are many delights that make this 25 acre property very interesting yet peaceful: A Train that passes deeper in the valley 2x a day, A Stream that flows just down the hill from the cabin, and a catfish pond if you care to fish.
The cabin is very spacious and has many modern luxuries. All rooms are well appointed with comfortable furniture. Flat Screen Smart Televisions in 2 bedrooms and the Main living room above the fireplace all with Dish Network. Rustic Cabin Decor throughout. Game room has a pool table and ping pong table.
The surrounding area offers multiple activities including but not limited to: Hiking, Nature Seeking, hunting, ATVing (Windrock Trail Head in Nearby Oliver Springs) biking (Windrock Bike Park in nearby Oliver Springs), nostalgic town hopping (Rugby) and multiple national nature parks including the Obed National Wild and Scenic River, Big South Fork national wildlife and reservation area, and Frozen Head State Park. Oak Ridge is approximately 40 minutes from Cabin. Knoxville is approximately 50 minutes from cabin.
We had a GREAT time at the cabin. Three adults for a weekend climbing trip. The location was close to climbing and hiking, and the cabin itself was ideal. 3 bedrooms with extra loft area, very spacious main level, pool table/ping pong table, wrap around porch with great views. We will stay here again - highly recommended.
We spent Fall Break in Morgan County to go star-gazing in the Obed Wild and Scenic River National Park. My husband, three children, my mother, and I stayed at this cabin for 5 nights. It was comfortable, had plenty of towels, bedding, kitchen utensils, and had beauiful views of the hills/Cumberland Mountains. It's very quiet/remote, but also close to grocery stores, restaurants, icecream and the MoCo & Lillypad Breweries. The star-gazing was a complete success. We could see the Milky Way from the front yard! And just 20 minutes away was the Lilly Bluff Overlook with amazing mountian-top views for gazing in a level 2 dark sky zone.
