Fairview, Michigan
Up dated cabin in northern Michigan that has access to private land with trout stream and 35+ acres of land that can be hiked. This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin sleeps 6 people. Centrally located only minutes from ORV trails, 2 golf courses, 2 beaches, cross country skiing, hunting areas, Michigan's 2nd biggest amusement park and the AuSable river that is known for great tubing and canoeing,
Small, but clean and cozy little cabin. Was perfect for 5 adults and 2 dogs. We really enjoyed the privacy and beauty of the surrounding pine forest. Perfect little bonfire spot to relax around in the back of the house. Had all the basics we needed stocked too. We would definitely go back!
very clean and cozy cabin. bring fresh water as its hard water there, but aside from thay it was a picture perfect stay.
nice place for the price fold out bed could use a new mattress otherwise great
The property was nice and the location was peaceful. Everything looked exactly as advertised and the surrounding forest was the perfect background. The one downside was that the place smelled of wet dogs, so a thorough cleaning was in order upon arrival, and unfortunately nothing could be done for the smell in the couch. Besides that, the cabin and location was everything we had hoped for.
Very Unique. Traveled to Atlanta and Gaylord- places we could take the dogs. Au Sable had a high and fast current but tolerable. It was very nice to be off the beaten path, relax with nothing to do or plans to uphold. Will definitely recommend and stay again.
Up north get-away in the woods. Enjoyed relaxing cabin, grilled out dinner and conversation on the deck, after a fun filled afternoon floating down the au sable river. Location close to variety of hiking trails in northern Michigan.
It was as listed and nice and quiet!
Clean, quiet, enjoyable.
Ok, a slight musty smell first two days, could use updates,
We were hoping to be a little closer to water.Could have been. Little cleaner.I swiftered the floor and OMG shocked?
This cabin was what we were looking for. Close enough to town, trails and the river yet on a nice quiet, wooded lot. Was expecting the kitchen to have more pots & pans but would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to visit the area.
Relaxing weekend, alot of privacy!
The property was great to stay at. About a 15 minute drive to Mio. All the food we had around the cabin was delicious. Super nice space to rent. Loved having all the trees surrounding us. The only complaint we had (which is to no fault of the owners) there's no wifi and the cell service kind of sucks. After reading over the listing it does not list wifi. We ended up renting some Redbox movies from the Dollar General! We wanted to stay unplugged for the weekend so it ended up working out. The hiking around the area is amazing too! Seemed like there were trails for everyone up to every kind of difficulty. The Huron National Forest is super close by too! Couldn't recommend staying here enough!
Excellent communication with the owner leading up to our weekend visit. Good location off the beaten path. Centrally location for our tour around the areas we visited. Would absolutely rent this cabin in the future.
My boyfriend and I had a great peaceful getaway, centrally located to many hiking trails in the area. This area is gorgeous bay time of year, but especially in the fall
So my husband and I came back to this rental to celebrate our 19th anniversary. Again, we had a great time! Bonfire, bbq, kayaking, going out for pizza / burgers and just relaxing....what more could you ask for? We really like this place. Thanks so much!
Great experience!
We rented this house over labor day weekend. It was the perfect little getaway for my boyfriend, my dog, and me. We loved feeling secluded and surrounded by pines, but still close to Mio.
This place was so quiet and peaceful! Also, so close to everything you want or need. It has a real up north feel. The tv is not hooked up to internet, so bring DVD's. Honestly though, at night, having a bonfire is way better! And yes, bring some towels! My hubby and I went to the Knot Hole in Comins for dinner one night. I gotta say, the burgers were fantastic! We plan on vacationing here again for sure!
Enjoyed my stay!!
Wonderful location. Very good communication. Cabin had just about everything we needed. Would recommend additional toilet paper and trash bags for a family staying for more than a few days. Great little trails to hike, nice fishing locations nearby. Loved the Amish experience. Owner also provided a detailed book with suggestions to make the trip fun. Nice people all around. Will be back. Thanks!
My husband and I were in the area for a wedding, and this home went above and beyond our needs. The location is beautiful. We didn't arrive the first day until late at night, but the owner left all of the porch lights on to make for an easy entrance. The only thing I'd recommend bringing are your own towels.
Beautiful property. The backyard and neighborhood made it for us! Very quiet and surrounded by woods! Very private. The house is open floor plan and charming! It’s lacking a few personal touches I think, but we were there for the outdoors anyway! Beds are a bit small but again doable for the weekend. Perfect getaway and we hope to be back again soon!!
