This cute little place is welcoming from the entrance to the second floor. The place is located just blocks from the quaint downtown of Manzanita and 1short block to the ocean. The beds were comfortable and the windows face toward a small lush hillside. If you listen carefully you can hear the ocean waves crashing. One suggestion I have is to fix the tv and accessories system to where you don't have 4 remotes too choose from and also, the heating system is thermostat but it seemed like the heat was on constantly and at times became too warm. There was no explanation on how to use it. We did our best. The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked and the living area is quite cozy with beautiful pictures of the fall colors of the Japanese maple. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back sometime.

The location was great. We enjoyed the front porch and the chairs. Unfortunately there was a lot of disappointment when we went inside. We moved the coffee table over a bit and there was tons of dirt and hair beneath. There was sand in our bed between the sheets. The comforter smelled like body odor and same in the other bedroom. We ended up washing all the bedding. There were soap dispensers in the shower but the body wash was empty and there were no soap bars, etc. there was no bath mat in the upstairs bathroom. The coffee maker was dirty and we had to wash it. I preheated the oven, opened it and smoke came billowing out. The drinking glasses had lipstick stains on them, and the light in the one bedroom was very very dark (not good for a senior citizen). The bbq had mold on it and the front porch was covered in sand. For the price we expected much, much more. It was really frustrating for us almost like they did not to prepare for the next guests, us.

We loved the location, one block from beach. A lovely home with a well stocked kitchen. Beds were a little too soft, might consider replacing mattresses. No hairdryer was provided so people should be told in advance to bring their own hair dryer. But all in all a comfortable place.

The property is very cute & cozy and in good shape, except for the carpet (stained and worn in places). The furnishings are nice and the kitchen is well-stocked with the necessary items. Had we stayed longer than 2 nights, the washer and dryer would have been a plus. It's a nice little stroll to the beach and it's a great area to walk around. People are friendly. Overall area is very clean and well-kept.We had an issue with the cleaning of the unit before we occupied. We informed the management and we were refunded our cleaning fee quickly, which was very professional of them. I would stay here again if I return to Manzanita Beach.

The house is super cute and the Vacasa Team VERY responsive. Check in and out easy. The location is ideal! There were lots of games and the kitchen was nicely stocked. The front porch had wonderfully comfy furniture so we could enjoy every second of being outside. The gas fireplace warmed up cool evenings of game night. The beds and sheets were comfortable. Be prepared to bring your own beach towels. We flew in from Dallas and DC and unfortunately the house didn’t provide beach towels, chairs or beach blankets so we had to purchase beach towels in town at $20/each. The house towels were white and we didn’t want them to get harmed by using them at the beach so that’s why we purchased them. We’ve rented for 20 years in Manzanita and have always had beach towels provided. Would be nice if the owners added them in the future for families that fly in. Also, there was a strong smell of wet dog in the house. Yes, we saw it was pet friendly but it just seemed the smell has really soaked into the carpets or something. There were quite a few stains on the carpets that could have been animal accidents. We are all multi dog owners (didn’t bring them) so we can usually tolerate dog smells. But just be ready for a heavy odor of wet dog. There were no hangers and no counter cleaning supplies but the Vacasa team jumped right on that and brought them the next day after check in. Overall it was a great place to stay and we loved every second it!!!

We booked this rental for a special Christmas trip to Manzanita, Oregon from December 26th to December 28th, but our experience was far from what we expected. Upon arrival, we found that the power was out throughout the town due to a winter storm. Not only was the power down, but the city was essentially shut down, with the main road washed out and nearby Cannon Beach also closed due to power outages. What’s most frustrating is the complete lack of communication from the property management companies (Vacasa, VRBO, and the owner). No one contacted us to inform us of the situation or offered any alternative solutions. We were left in the dark—literally and figuratively—without any guidance or help. With no place to stay we returned to Portland.I understand that winter storms can be unpredictable, but this is an important thing for renters to consider. If you’re booking during the winter months, be prepared for the possibility of power outages and road closures that could leave you stranded and without basic services. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, this is not the place to risk it.We were left feeling frustrated and disappointed by the lack of support and foresight from the owner and management team. Based on this experience, I’d recommend thinking twice before booking here

We booked this house for our family getaway. As adults, it's hard to find time in our busy lives to just shut the world off and enjoy each other's company. This trip was definitely that. This rental was our second stay. Our first stay was many years ago. The house is in a really great location and it's pet friendly which made it perfect for us. The house could use some upgrades considering the cost but it was still a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

This was our second time renting this house so obviously we like it, but management needs to be a little more thorough on a few things. Little things, but they add up: The kitchen faucet was spraying everywhere and leaking, with a lot of mold and mildew underneath--ugh. The light above the stove was burnt out with no replacement bulbs, so we had to use a camp light to see the stovetop. An awful smell in the fridge—it was clean but the smell was terrible (like fishy garbage); not sure how housekeeping didn’t notice. The lamp in one bedroom was broken so the only way to use it was to plug in and unplug. Stains on the carpet. The upstairs toilet isn’t properly seated so it rocks. It made me question if the place was being properly kept up or would it decline if we booked again. It’s both great and not-great it’s managed by Vacasa: communication is fast, but you get a different person each time who sometimes know nothing about your previous communication. I did alert them to all these issues. Now the good and why we came back: A super easy walk of a block to the beach and town. The porch is the best and perfect for relaxing in the afternoon sun with a great setup (a note to bring a few extra outdoor chairs if you have more than four people). Lots of kitchen pots and pans and utensils. First floor BR and bath good for those with mobility issues. And it's just cozy as advertised, very comfortable and welcoming. We hope they do a little better keeping up with the wear and tear!

When we arrived, the beds were made but when we pulled back the bedspreads we were surprised to find a soiled bottom sheet without a top sheet. We found wet towels in the dryer and had several hand towels but no washcloths. Dog food was on the floor in the kitchen and bedrooms. The carpets were filthy and when I pulled the rubber mat up in the upstairs bathroom the tub was full of sand. We even found underwear under the bed and a sock in the bushes out front. But the most troubling was the broken and missing blind in the front window. We had to hang a sheet in the window so we could have privacy in the evening. The location was excellent, but the house is in need of some maintenance deep cleaning if we were to return.

Our family of 4 stayed here over July 4th and absolutely loved it! The house is just 1 block off the beach and a few blocks away from all the downtown shops, really terrific location in a quiet residential area. Front porch has comfy seating for 4 and is perfect for morning coffee/nighttime star gazing. The kitchen was really well equipped with plenty of spices and cookware, great for meal prep. The house stayed really cool and comfy even during a heat wave, which was a big bonus. Highly recommend!
