Gaylord, Michigan
Located along the Iron Belle Trail centered on beautiful Otsego Lake in the middle of Gaylord's Golf Mecca. Enjoy the sunset over the Lake in our cozy & clean 2-Bedroom / 1-Bath cabin with authentic stone masonry fireplace in the Living room and cute Kitchenette. This unit is a "twin" of another 2-Bedroom unit in the same cottage. There's a wall and lockable door between the two. Rent them both and have the 4-Bedroom, 2-Bath cottage to yourselves.
Our lakefront deck & dock are perfect for enjoying the water with great swimming, boating and fishing. Several golf and dining choices are within 5-minutes of the cabin. Snowmobiling, skiing, hiking, biking, any outdoor activity is right outside the door.

The people were friendly, the cabin had a beautiful working fireplace we didn’t get to use because it was July. Could use some soundproofing between the two sides of the cabin. The lake was across the road and they offered free use of kayaks from their dock.
Bed was comfy. Cabin was small but that’s fine as we weren’t spending lots of time there. Very clean, however there were ants. Owner placed Toro out right away. Light switch in bathroom wasn’t working, he replaced that right away. Missing silverware, he got that for us right away. There isn’t a stove or oven, so you’ll need to bring a griddle or hot plate if you want to cook. Wasn’t able to connect to WIFI , but that’s okay as it wasn’t really needed. Fridge is a small wine fridge, so bring coolers of packing lots of food. Overall the stay was nice. The owner works very hard and was there until after 10:45pm one night.
Great communication! Super cozy, great location, and nice fireplace in the living room!
The view of the lake and direct access was perfect. We watched a gorgeous sunset. The cabin is cozy, clean, comfortable and equipped for what we needed. All that was missing was a fly swatter for that one pesky fly!
The inside appears recently redone and clean. Great little place for two people to stay while golfing in the area. Would be very tight for more than two people. A rustic place with a small shower, coffee maker, small microwave, nice streaming capable TV, fireplace, and comfy beds. Not sure if it has AC.
I was so impressed with the experience I had I will definitely tell my friends how Awesome your Place is I will definitely return for visit ?
Great location right across the street from the lake. Dock access on lake with chairs, fire pit and kayaks.
Very nice cabin. Clean and exactly as advertised will recommend and reserve again.
We enjoyed our stay
Spent a couple nights in the area for family outing. I think some of the pictures of the water and lake are misleading the water front is across a semi busy road and railroad tracks and down a hill not as easy as accessable as portrayed. It worked for us but not a vacation destination for sure.
The cottage was clean and cute and we acknowledge the property is under renovation. The cabin entrance is not handicap accessible nor is the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable but the internet in most cases was not working. The state park beach down the road was perfect. We love Gaylord and would consider staying again if the renovations to the property were complete including the handrail to the porch.
Overall, it was an all right experience. It was a great economical option, however, the location was a bit less relaxing than what I hoped for. Pros -centrally located near Gaylord and the Otsego Lake State Park -Lake view; you can access the lake via a dock across the road -cost efficient; I’m surprised how affordable this property was -comfortable beds Cons -I have small children (ages 1 and 3), and this property was way too close to a 55 mph road for my comfort. I couldn’t really relax and enjoy a bon fire with the constant traffic driving by in the front yard. -no stove, and the only fridge was a wine fridge. -no AC - it’s not a problem if you are visiting 10 months out of the year; however, it may impact the comfort of your stay if you visit in July or August
Nice sun sets
We really enjoyed staying here for the 4th of July holiday. Everything was neat and clean, Tad was a great host and provided everything we needed.
Loved having coffee by the lake. Enjoyed the cabin and the quiet. Stress free and very clean. Hot shower and comforter beds.
