1BR cabin plus loft sleeps 5 fantastic views

The cabin was very clean and well stocked. Location and views from the porch are Excellent. Very central to the excellent biking and hiking trails. Had a fun and relaxing stay, will definitely be back.

This was my very first visit to the Canaan Valley area personally. My girlfriend has spent every family vacation in the area for the last 20 years but her first time in Black Bear Resort. We were not disappointed. This cabin is at the end of a drive in the resort so it makes it quiet. Fishing pond right over the hillside. Perfect views of sunsets and sunrises bc it sits up a little bit above other cabins. Deck is perfect for anything, especially coffee and breakfast before you venture out for the day. I really loved it was pet friendly (they even provide food/water bowls). DEFINITELY want to bring DVDs with you bc the TV is not a smart one that connects to the internet for streaming but it does have fuzzy cable. The living room table top lifts up and makes a perfect place to play cards or leave it down for a spacious place to play a board game. The first couple nights we were there, it was quite chilly so we built a fire. The jacuzzi tub was PHENOMENAL for two girls who LOVE a good bath. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The host was very informative and responsive for everything. Overall, it was a great first experience and we are planning on trying to spend every anniversary here.

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It’s cozy with a great view of the mountains. We were a party of five plus our dog. The loft has a double bed and bunk beds. The master had a queen size bed. Everyone slept great. The pantry was stocked with spices and olive oil which was very helpful.

Great location, great little cabin. Master bed is the most firm bed I’ve ever laid on. We slept upstairs. But great other wise !!

The cabin was clean and cozy.

We lived the coziness of the cabin, very rustic and beautiful scenery. Really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and the fact even with all the snow that we had nice dry firewood to use. The only thing I wasn’t aware of and was probably an oversight on my part, there wasn’t a real oven, we made due with the counter top oven but could have used a regular size oven. This wouldn’t prevent me from renting again as we loved the experience and can adjust for the next time.

Our host provided all the info we needed, thank you. We found the accommodations comfy and cozy. It is centrally located to many sights the area offers. We would choose this cabin again in the future.

Everything was great! Area was quiet and relaxing. Host had the place very well stocked with household items and even plenty of extras!

The cabin was a great place to stay! We came to celebrate our one year anniversary. Lots of great hiking nearby and Davis was a great town. The cabin itself was comfortable and cozy for our stay. It had everything we needed. Definitely recommend.

This Cabin is very conveniently located. Everything we wanted to do was close by. And time spent in the cabin was very relaxing

Our family of four stayed in the cabin for a quick ski trip. The cabin is situated perfectly close to ski resorts as well as restaurants in Davis. The owner's directions were clear from booking to check out and the cabin was fully stocked with all of our needs. My kids loved the bunk beds. Will book again!

My husband and I really enjoyed this cute cabin. The jetted tub was also amazing after a day of skiing and snow adventures

Me and girlfriend spent a few days here (12/3-12/6) to get away and just be together. Had a wonderful time!! Cozy little cabin with no one around. We were there during a snow storm, 65mph winds, and temps from 11 into the 20's. The fire place was wonderful and there was plenty of supplied fire wood. All new appliances. It was not a smart tv as advertised and, probably due to the storm, the satellite signal was in and out. Oh well, didn't come to watch tv. Blackwater Falls was amazing covered in snow and ice. Stumptown Ales has some of the best beer I've had. Really wish I could've brought some home. Most definitely a great trip and place to stay.

Appreciate that the cabins are spaced out & strategically placed. Wood was provided for a nice cozy fire in the evenings
