Everything was clean and well supplied for our weekend stay the lake view was awsome

Our hostess Bren is Super. She was very friendly, accommodating, and quick to reply to messages. She even reached out to us that we could check-in early and left us coffee, creamer, filtered water, and cookies for our arrival. The house was spotlessly clean, and we had everything we needed for a great stay.This was our first stay at Al's Place and before the end of our first day we were already discussing plans for another visit to this super cute little house on the lake with great views and peaceful quiet location.

Very well maintained, well lots of needs taken care of. Owner very accommodating and great communication throughout.Lovely place, peaceful and relaxing. Planning on coming again. Highly recommend.

Bren was very welcoming and attentive! Checked on us and updated with local weather advisories to help our stay go smoothly. Cabin is just as described and perfect for us while we were in town visiting family. Will definitely look to stay here again in the future!

The house is very welcoming, it had everything we needed plus more, the view outstanding! I was greatly impressed with how quickly the owner responded to our needs - I have never had a more accommodating, friendly host!

The host was very welcoming. She allowed us to check in early, and she brought us cookies. She provided us with a list of activities in the area, and she was quick to respond. The views are beautiful. It is a cozy little place. It was quiet and very clean. It was a great place to enjoy time with my family.

The cabin felt very welcoming with a few lights on when we arrived. Loved the view. Enjoyed watching the lake from the inside when it was windy and cold outside. Watched the moon light and sun light dance on the water. We caught 3 yellow perch, 3 bluegills, 3 cat fish, 1 carp. There was a group of pelicans and more water fowl. Great place to unwind! Wished I could go back. Thank you.

Love staying here! It is comfy, cozy and has a beautiful view. Very relaxing. Also, communication was seamless: regarding check-in, things to do, and check-out. We will be back!

The cabin was perfect. The cabin was clean and well stocked. View is excellent. Easy to see the sunrise and sunset. Towels, kitchen supplies, decor, etc. all looked newer. Host had great communication. Was friendly, and easy to work with. Would book again.

Very quiet and relaxing. Minimal contact with neighbors (who were polite and respectful). This was our second stay at this location and we are planning on a third.

Super cute cottage experience. Very cozy, clean and comfortable rooms. Love the cottage feel and design. Morning coffee with lake views was peak relaxation. Fishing off the pier was a nice extra. Kitchen was very well stocked. Communication was great along with a great recommendation for dinner. Only wish we could have stayed an extra day or two!

Our hostess, Brenda, was exceptionally accommodating. And the welcome tray of homemade cookies was such a treat!

House was wonderfully located and exactly as described in listing. Bren was super communicative throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, and left us some coffee and cookies! Everything was super clean and all essentials were provided. Great stay!

This cozy 100 year-old cottage was the perfect getaway! It’s beautifully maintained, with a stunning sunrise view in the morning and the most relaxing lake view at sunset. Sitting by the fire while watching the sky change colors was unforgettable. We had a wonderful experience—thank you, Brenda, for being such a fantastic host! Jim

Came for my husband’s birthday. He was able to catch a few fish, which was the goal. We very much enjoyed the peace of the water and a nightly fire, which we can’t do at our home. The lake is so large, we felt like we were at the ocean. Pelicans in Ohio!?!?! They were fun to see. Also had a few bald eagle sightings. I let the typewriter get some fresh air and spent some time in writer’s retreat. The cabin was perfect. The host couldn’t have made the experience any better—it was a delightful time! Thank you!

Everything was great, we were at Eldora Speedway most of the time but the cabin was clean and cozy! For us it was way better than staying in a motel room like we did the previous year. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. We will most likely be back next year.

We were looking for a relaxing getaway and this place was perfect! The house was small and cozy but you didn’t feel cramped. Despite the very few “quirks” of a 104 year old house, it was wonderfully updated and comfortable, as well as, nicely decorated and very clean. Bren had the house stocked with everything you would need to keep occupied including books, games, puzzles, etc. The back deck/dock was absolutely perfect and the views were amazing! The weather was perfect for our stay so the house was comfortable the entire time. Bren was an attentive host and left us cookies upon our arrival as well as coffee and creamer for us to enjoy. She even left a “cookie” for our dachshund, Roxie. We will definitely return

Absolutely perfect for my wife and I. We wanted a waterfront spot to be able to relax and reset from our busy life. We were able to do just that. We sat on the back deck next to the fire pit for HOURS just enjoying the view together.The house was an older house but very much clean and tidy. The house was very stocked for many things in the kitchen to use for cooking, this was a plus for us as we decided to cook there and eat with our own waterfront dining.We very much enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be returning. Bren was a great host and was very much available for any and all questions! We honestly didn’t know just how good this place was going to be until we got there. Love love loved it!

Our stay at Al's place was perfect.The property was clean and had everything you would need and some. Location was great for dining,but you could certainly stay and enjoy meals there. Having breakfast and coffee on the deck was heavenly! Lake City Creamery is a treat that you definitely need to stop!Brenda the host of the property was super friendly and very easy to communicate with. The property again has everything and you feel like your at home!

Every thing was perfect! Everything stocked! If you forgot something, it will be here! Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful! Plenty of space for a family and also great if you are by yourself! I wanted to make return plans before the first day was even over!

Quiet comfortable clean and cozy

This is a very compact lake cottage. Every thing was clean and beautifully done. I don't think that I have ever stayed in a rental that was as well supplied and nicely furnished as this one. The kitchen and bathroom had everything you would need and a few surprise gifts like cookies, popcicles, and coffee. The outdoor experience was just to our liking and the lake was lovely. Highly recommend.

While it was short it was a birthday celebration and relaxation trip. First time we brought our two mid and small dogs! It was very nice excellent view! Everything we needed for a quick getaway

This home was absolutely adorable. The view and back porch right on the lake was stunning!! Our favorite part was watching the Bald Eagles which roosted in the trees very close by!Host was very nice and accommodating.We look forward to staying here again!!

We fell in love with this cottage the moment we walked in! We literally said out loud oh this is perfect! Each room was lovingly decorated and fully prepared with all the amenities (and more!) that you could ever need. Bren has put her heart and soul into making this cottage a gorgeous home away from home. It's exceptionally clean, tidy, bright, and simply perfect! The deck and dock were ideal for our needs and a gorgeous tree provided some shade too. You get the perfect mix of sun and shade. We were pleasantly surprised to see there were 3 cruiser bikes to use too. We had a blast exploring the area on these bikes. No doubt about it, we'll be repeat customers! Strongly recommend this lakeside cottage. Bren was so pleasant and a delight to work with. Easy to contact and always so quick to respond to all of our questions. 10/10 recommend on every level!

We had a great stay even with temperatures in the 90’s. Our grandkids did some fishing off the dock and we caught 4 species. Bluegill, perch, catfish , and carp. They had a blast. We had other family with boats and they could dock at the cottage and visit. We had a cook out and the deck was good for a gathering of family. Bren was an outstanding host. Cottage is an excellent value for a family trip

Had a great weekend at Al's place with amazing lake views. Place had everything you need in the kitchen,, plenty of towels and even some extras in case you forgot necessities to help you get ready for the day.Looking forward to returning again for a weekend getaway

The house is adorable and very clean! We enjoyed our stay even if weather wasn’t the greatest! The lake is beautiful! Our host was so great and very easy to reach if needed! I recommend this one! And maybe we will get back one day too!

The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals. We especially appreciated the comfortable beds and the thoughtful touches like the birthday bunt cakes, coffee and creamer to get us started and firewood for our first night. The view is absolutely stunning and peaceful!!This host (Bren) went above and beyond for real! I have stayed at Vrbos many many times and she was the most informative the most helpful and ready to make your experience the best it can possibly be of anywhere I have stayed. She is truly part of what makes the stay so personable. I cannot say enough good about this place even right down to seeing an eagle while sitting on the back deck!! If you are looking for a place filled with beauty and peace, while being fully stocked with everything you could possibly need this, is it.

Came up from Tennessee to visit family and friends for Celina’s graduation. The house was immaculate and the host was above amazing. Accommodations were way more than expected honestly. Fully furnished home with amenities that made it feel like home. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the area or just relax with a very peaceful setting and amazing view.

It was everything we eere hoping for. Quiet, cozy and a very relaxing atmosphere. The only drawback was the bed. Although it seemed to be a newer bed, it was extremely firm. Too firm for my back.we would like to come back again; but we will bring a mattress pad.

My daughter and I have a tradition of going on a weekend getaway at least once a year, this year we chose this property for our trip. Let me just tell you, this is easily one of the best places we have ever stayed! As we arrived, we met the owner, very kind woman! This property has everything you could need for at least a day or two. All of the amenities for simple lakeside getaway. A large table to have family meals at looking at the water. (or in our case, a table for mom to kick daughter’s hind end in canasta!) Simply put, we cannot rate this property, high enough! Trust us, stay here!

A nice little place for a winter retreat! The heat kept us nice and warm despite the frigid temperatures outside and it was fun to wake up each morning to a wide view of the frozen lake. Very quiet neighborhood, at least in February. I will note that you have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the only bathroom. It wasn't a big deal for us because it was just my wife, our 1-year-old, and me, but bigger families may want to plan accordingly. The host was very communicative and generous. Highly recommended!

Great place and wonderful views. If you have a dog though, theres no good place to take a walk unless you drive somewhere. Maybe because it was off season, but it was nice and quiet, except for the yappy dog across the street waking us up at 5:30 in the morning. Short drive to stores and restaurants made it a convenient place to stay.

This property is outstanding! It is exactly as advertised. It’s clean and right on the water. We caught so many fish of all kinds. We enjoyed a bonfire and cooking on the grill. Our stay was just perfection! You have to go for a stay. You won’t regret it!

Absolutely stunning views. Peaceful sitting by the water drinking coffee. It’s just minutes from any last minute items you may need. It was well stocked and very clean. The owners left helpful notes on the how to on everything.

It was a fantastic stay for families .. we loved the fishing access and ability to be unplugged ! We enjoyed the cool park nearby with splash park and zip lines . Great fun for all ages !
